Curious why the twice a day cold starts instead of running battery maintainers and block heaters? I get a daily test start for operational readiness check purposes, but cold starts seem needlessly hard on kit.
So I'm a 88M in AIT I picked NY as one of my 6 choices what are the odds of me getting this place as a duty station and how is it there ? Also do you guys come outside in summer pt and run in the snow ?
@@Peleliusion Yea that's the thing we have no idea what unit we can be sent to until our second week in black phase but I know I'm not going to airborne as that is not in my contract
I always wondered if a military surplus truck might be a good buy, but this video has made me lean towards they could have been needlessly beaten the hell out of. I cringe when I hear a fridgid diesel needlessly floorboarded like that
Each one cranks different. If I don't do that when I start it then it won't stay running. It just stalls out. It's been like that since before I got here. So yeah, I guess you could say needlessly, but you're not the one that has start them in negative temperatures with no block heaters.
And thank you for your service!
Hey man. Feel free to give me a wave when you see the R+L carriers tractor trailer on post .. its always me doing deliveries there .
For sure dude! I see that all the time!
@@Peleliusion i deliver all over that base .. from uav drive to 781 gate lol
@@robcny74 Yeah I've definitely seen you around then. I work on the airfield so I've probably passed you a lot
I deliver to the warehouse alot over there
thought that motor pool looked familiar. i do not miss having a Fort Drum day, or being knighthawked by 2-10.
Lol I feel that....
Love the frozen north

Because that's too easy and the Army doesn't do easy or things that make sense😅 We simply are not issued that type of equipment.
More vids please
Make them longer and maybe working on them?
oh yeh, and don't forget the boot shots!!!!

Chances are high getting stationed here because nobody wants to go here. And yes we run in the snow with Summer PT's.
@@Peleliusion Wow I didn't know it was that bad we if I get I guess I'll just embrace the suck and hope I can warm up quickly
@@ArkArmy90 It all depends on your unit bro. They make it or break it. I'm in Aviation so it's not as bad as some other units here.

@@ArkArmy90 You'll be fine regardless. You might luck out and get a good unit but if not just keep your head up and make the best of it.
