Recently I headed out for one of my first proper runs since Paris Marathon, and it was incredible! My fitness has taken a knock, but getting out onto the trails was exactly what I needed, and Tia loved it too.

Boy, I felt this chat! I suffer from multiple chronic issues, a few being a broken circadian rhythm and the resulting rare condition called MINOCA that will probably kill me early. People always tell me to rest if I'm tired, to "wait" until my life schedule, energy levels etc support running. I've been tired literally my entire life. I learned years ago that if i want to do something, I have to do it tired. Illnesses and injury are all different, most truly do benefit from some rest... with mine, I have two choices... follow my dreams and live the life I want... or "wait", for a time that won't come, where my permanent issues magically disappear and I'm full of energy.
The silver lining is that I'm living my life... truly living it. No more weekends spent on the sofa complaining I'm bored, or putting off goals and dreams until some distant fuzzy date. I work hard and play hard, and rest hard too! 😂
Being self employed, I felt that about not having sick days etc. Make hay while the sun shines! (Then go for a run!) 😂
YES exactly all of this!! I see why it seems counterintuitive for many people, but sometimes you have to just live your live!! Im glad you seem to have found a sort of balance that works for you ❤️
Enjoy the rays now they're finally here Flora ☀️
Easy doe's it, getting back to UTMB mode !
Never mind our furry friends, might have to try some Butternut Box myself !
Washed down with gulp fulls of a muddy H20 :)
Can you please interview Sam Murphy please, she's a former Runner's World writer, and she wrote Run Your Best Marathon. Also Allie Bailey? Thanks, and great run!
Wow, this is truly amazing! Yesterday, after watching your channel in Korea, I tried to gather my strength and go for a trail run, but it was very difficult. My leg muscles were different from running in the park. Today, a day later, my legs feel a little uncomfortable.
Where do you get your glasses from? I love them but don't want to spend loads!
Theyre SunGod Ultras! 🤗 not cheap but cheaper than Oakleys, and they have a lifetime guarantee i think 🙌
I think a good person to interview would be Mark Cavendish. You could center it around your illness you both have in common.
I would love that, though getting hold of him could be a struggle!
Fergus Crawley and Natacha Oceane would be great interviews! Love your interviews.
I live next to a reservoir and they’re going to be butchering all of the (non native) pines over the next few years, it’s a bit devastating because they’re beautiful but they will plant native Australian trees instead. It’s going to look like rubbish for a long while I think, it’s my favourite place to run 😢
Nice running & place to run 🏃♀🏃♀🤸♀🐈 I come over to Yate once monthly from Nottingham so not too far from Bristol. Run 400 metre laps around the athletics stadium track + 10 metre airgun shooting = Sedgemoor Target Sprint, an interesting and different sport! ☺
I suggest interviewing Anya Culling, inspiring success story in running! Love your channel! Cheers from USA 🇺🇸
Ace vlog totally relate to the work thing and again Happy Birthday. I’m recovering from an Ultra Marathon. I’m slowly getting back into running again, had a flu bug over the last couple of weeks, fine now. It’s the mental fatigue that’s taken a bit longer to cope with but did a half marathon training run last week. 🤓
Lol, Tia's a cat. You can't tell me she's a dog and ahow her junping into an empty box 😂
Good afternoon.....!!!! Flora is coming!!!!!..... I'm happy. Like from Spain 🇪🇸. A nice week for everyone.
Don't we all run to avoid actual work? Love it :D I'm also getting ready to come back after a little surgery, so I very much appreciate hearing about how that's going for you. I've got some anxiety about all of it - being disappointed, over-doing things... all the things. Thank you!
What a wonderful run with your dog Thea (is that spelled correctly 🙈) in nature. I can well understand how nice that was. It is so important to find balance while exercising in nature. I feel the same. I'm coming back after 4 months without running or cycling after a serious knee injury. Thank you for the beautiful and motivating film 👍
Was Tia a puppy in a house with cats? Sitting in boxes and climbing up trees. Definitely some cat energy there!
Hahah she was a puppy on the streets of Romania, so who knows if she had cat friends! She is just very strange 😅
Happy (slightly belated)birthday!
I have been getting back on the bike. Some mental health and other things had me not doing what I want to do. Last 2 weeks I'm back to it, and I'm very happy! I'm glad you're getting out there too! Happy Birthday!
Glad you're getting back to it! ❤️ and thank you 😊
Please interview Ben Felton.
Super nice and chill video. Finally starting to get some more mileage on my runs and it feels so good! Hit the 10km mark for an ‘easy’ run last week which has been a goal of mine for a while!
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Best feeling ever! Well done 🥰
Tom Evans please
If you haven’t already could you do either a TH-cam video or blog post about the different running watches you have used and the pros and cons you have found of each from your experience.
They are so expensive to get and I want to buy the right one for me
Happy birthday!!!❤
Happy Birthday!
Thank youuuu!!
I didn’t run today, because I’ve been in a rut lately. I’ve completed two London marathons, 28 half marathons, 74 medals with other races, so feel done 😂 But it’s great to see you out there in the sunshine, i had forgotten that feeling......I’m off to lace up the trainers again, thank you 👍🏻
Ah amazing!! Sounds like you just needed some rest, which is understandable! Hope you enjoy your run 🥰
Congratulations on London! Rest, and a change! Try an obstacle race, a trail race, a relay! I never realized there were so many faces to running. Each require slightly different skills, give all new PBs, and offer something different. Switching to trail ultras was like starting a whole new sport, and reignited my love of and excitement for running after decades on the roads. Best wishes!
