Thx guys! As a purchasing agent, it bugs me to keep buying those d@nm split lock washers for our maintenance team. Just trying to get the team into the 21st century and use one of your more reliable methods. (Me? I'm usually a Loctite guy.)
You failed to describe when to use each type of lock nut. Nylon lock nuts are not used in heated situations.
