This game teaches kids four very important lessons: 1. Put oil in your cereal! It's nutritious! 2. Magnets and birdseed are free! 3. If you want a pet puppy just go into a dark and gloomy cave! 4. Don't pick apples or they will EXPLODE! o_o;
This game is is OCD hell. Why does the frog chew when he eats the fly? Why does Putt Putt use a drive-though car wash even though he is clearly a roofless convertible? Why does he say "now I can see again!" after cleaning the windshield that's _behind_ his eyes? This games has shaken me to my core D:
Where are the humans you ask? Most of them were killed in the Righteous War where all auto-mobiles rose up to end their enslavement. Humanity is on the brink of extinction. Survivors and rebels now living in forests and mountains where auto-mobiles tread not. Some simply try to live in peace. Others wage war on the auto-mobiles by destroying oil wells and the like. Or this is just an alternate universe or different planet where humans never existed and these, "cars," are actually evolved organic & sentient life forms.
I was hoping someone had overthought Putt-Putt's lore as much as I did... :p I like to think the remnant humans you mentioned roaming the less accessible hinterlands on the periphery of the _Motor Sapiens_ otherwise utopian territories, have devolved into ghoulish and semi-sentient creatures - cursed to be dimly aware that they have lost something whilst simultaneously lacking any conceptual awareness of the power and influence they once wielded.
I'd like to think the world of Putt-Putt is what happened after the end of the movie Maximum Overdrive. But since it's a kids game they omitted all the dead humans in the street.
Loved this game as a kid! Played it every time I went to my cousin's house. I loved pressing Alt or Shift to speed up the voices and sfx! And the bouncy ball minigame at the toy store, getting _every_ ball to drop onto the space next to the exit so they all say "bye bye!" really quickly. Just found this channel and I freakin love the commentary too 🤣 Edit: 21:30 yellow car must be a Mazda 6
I almost died from laughter! >u< I love how you are pretty thorough with showing all the different features of the game even though it's just for kids.
His headlights are his eyes. WHY DOES WASHING THE WINDSHIELD MAKE HIM ABLE TO SEE BETTER?!? So he eats his cereal with oil. So his oil is all full of something crunchy and abrasive. I feel Putt-Putt is not going to live to old age. Or it might at least explain why his speedometer indicates he has a top speed of 35. At least he brushes his teeth regularly. I'm betting it's that's not toothpaste, it's chrome polish. Yeeep.
We have some of these putt putt games on the computers at the school where I teach. They're used for computer club in the early years and primary departments.
Yaaay! Putt-Putt joins the Parade. Now we need to see you play either another Putt-Putt game or (if you'd prefer playing for a bit longer) one of the Spy Fox games...
Also, we learned don't bother to put the top up when you go for a car wash or a new paint job. The upholstery needs to get cleaned (and coated in paint) too!
I've love to see more of the Putt-Putt games, I love the series and I think its extremely funny, but I don't want to actually buy nor play them. I'd rather you make a short video like this and it be quick, simple, and funny. Thanks for the great video and I hope this feedback helps!
Feels weird that most Humongous Entertainment games can be completed in just under an hour. I remember spending several hours playing them when I was young.
Depends on how they are played. When I used to play anything from Humongous Entertainment as a kid, I usually play for a long time due to their interactivity. It's addicting to point and click at any object to see what they can do.
I love these old videos they make me feel so happy ....I hope you know that these really help with anxiety and I genuinely always enjoyed the big entertainment computer games too and always wondered what I was missing out on as a kid since I didn't get the hone all them so it's cool getting to see them being played
Now I really want to see you play a Sly Fox &/or Pajama Sam game in your LPs. :) I sadly missed out on these games in my youth but back then I was playing the amzing & fun Math Blasters Series of Learning Games which I really miss now. :(
Well this is some nice notalgia. My favorite out of this series was probably Putt Putt Travels Through Time. Stangely, I can still remember the theme music for that one 15 years later...
I always played that little mini game in the toy shop, clicking the red square thing on the left side. I don't know what it's called, but it's like some kind of pachinko.
I like these kids games when you just want something simple to play :) And do a review/let's play of Hokus Pokus Pink, it's somewhere between this and mid 90s point and click adventures if I remember it correctly. Totally awesome game :)
Car Town... yeah remember that other kids game about the human set in Human Town? No one thought that was redundant at all, nor worried about what they might call the next town along either.
I'd love to see more humongous play throughs! Maybe another Putt Putt or Pajama Sam game. I remember I could never beat pajama Sam 3. ^^ Also you're right about Pep making kids want dogs. I remember being actually kind of sad that I could never befriend a lost dog. XD
That sound effect when you put money in, maybe it's me, but it reminded me of Donald's mad instrument-playing skillz (and I do mean mad) in Symphony Hour, y'know when he went batshit insane and played them all at once?
The only Humongous Entertainment game I ever played was Blue's Birthday Adventure, because I was a huge Blue's Clues fan growing up. Not sure if it's readily available, but I'd love to see it played.
To be fair I've never heard a cow moo like that. It was like it started mooing with it's mouthful or started choking on the grass it was eating. Or maybe that's how a cow would moo if it's mouth was shut, you know what? I'm putting to much thought into this x3
My mom bought this for my little brother when he was 3 (a couple of years after this came out I think?) but I ended up playing it despite being 7 years older than him. 😂 I think even today I would still have fun playing this. I know the game like the back of my hand and it's so cute and charming. 😊
Yes another humongous entertainment game but also try out some point and click games on steam. One I recommend is the Blackwell Legacy, for me it was very addicting
i remember when i once found a game i loved as a kid in the store for super cheap and i bought it all excitedly like hell yeah i'm gonna play Timmy's Sea Adventure so hard but then it turned out that my computer was too good for it and it's been like 3 years since then, i'm 21 and i am still upset about that. you could check Timmy's Sea Adventure out maybe, if you find it? It's a really cute point and click imo, looks nice too.
The Steam versions are probably the newer version, so yeah, there are deleted scenes that are not on them, like in Freddy Fish, you can see Freddy imagines that eel thing eating Luther. XD Yeah, Steam versions will probably be the more boring ones.
Your videos rewatch value is great. If you've covered this in other videos, I'm sorry; but would you consider doing three again?! I'd definitely watch you play these again
I only ever played Putt Putt saves the zoo, was mostly into pajama sam and freddi fish growing up/to this day. A world of talking thinking cars just weirded me out as a kid. Not like the sane world of talking thinking sea creatures and talking thinking everything else.
Wait, I played this game a bunch as a kid as it was the only Putt-Putt game we had, but if we assume Smoky is a normal sized fire engine, then Putt-Putt is really small. But if Putt-Putt can put a lawn mower + other junk in his boot, then he must be a decent size car. So how big is Smoky then? He must be massive! Also there's a lot of traffic going to and from the movie theatre and the cave. "I've got-a very important job I need you to do" *does Italian hand gestures* "Deliver these 'groceries' for me". Little did he know but Putt-Putt was delivering the largest batch of cocaine that Carworld (?) had ever seen. Number 3 red street looks like a big French Putt-Putt with your green paint on.
This game teaches kids four very important lessons:
1. Put oil in your cereal! It's nutritious!
2. Magnets and birdseed are free!
3. If you want a pet puppy just go into a dark and gloomy cave!
4. Don't pick apples or they will EXPLODE! o_o;
I think we should introduce kids to Zork, so that they realize that not only puppies live in dark caves.
5. Whenever something is in your way in life, just honk at it!
A man said he had a puppy in his white unmarked van and all I got was AIDS; 2nd time this week
I Like That There’s a Shark in That Little Pond Like How Did it Get There?
This game is is OCD hell. Why does the frog chew when he eats the fly? Why does Putt Putt use a drive-though car wash even though he is clearly a roofless convertible? Why does he say "now I can see again!" after cleaning the windshield that's _behind_ his eyes?

Or that the Easter bunny comes OUT from the Easter egg... who delivers the eggs then???
Ghost81 shooketh 😂😂

This explains everything. Brilliant.
PushingUpRoses
Thank you. ^_^
I laughed way too hard at this
+GothRevolutionary putt-putt has lore deeper than fnaf
I was hoping someone had overthought Putt-Putt's lore as much as I did... :p
I like to think the remnant humans you mentioned roaming the less accessible hinterlands on the periphery of the _Motor Sapiens_ otherwise utopian territories, have devolved into ghoulish and semi-sentient creatures - cursed to be dimly aware that they have lost something whilst simultaneously lacking any conceptual awareness of the power and influence they once wielded.
I'd love to see you do a Let's Play of Putt-Putt Saves the Zoo.
I'd like to think the world of Putt-Putt is what happened after the end of the movie Maximum Overdrive. But since it's a kids game they omitted all the dead humans in the street.
Putt-Putt's crazy eyes and manic grin make this game slightly terrifying.
"How do I get past this cow?" Drive around it!!! I grew up in cow country, you just drive right through them!
"I found a lost child and all I got was this stinky balloon." -Weirdest t-shirt ever
Just found this channel and I freakin love the commentary too 🤣
Edit: 21:30 yellow car must be a Mazda 6
Putt-Putt: "I can't go that way I might hurt a bird." Roses: "I'll get the lawnmower." Killed me
While this game's obviously really easy I admire how it has multiple solutions for puzzles, like the nails or the birds.
Wait... if Putt-Putt listens to the radio... does that mean he hears voices in his head?
"your kid wants a pet? i'm sure they'll find one" that's just people in my hometown tbh
I almost died from laughter! >u< I love how you are pretty thorough with showing all the different features of the game even though it's just for kids.

That's a tachometer
We have some of these putt putt games on the computers at the school where I teach. They're used for computer club in the early years and primary departments.
Putt Putt looks like he's cracked out the whole time xD.
I happen to know about Putt-Putt's parents, it's a "dramatic reading" by PeanutButterGamer though.
I can't believe I'm saying this. But I would like to watch you play the Putt-Putt sequels.
Yaaay! Putt-Putt joins the Parade. Now we need to see you play either another Putt-Putt game or (if you'd prefer playing for a bit longer) one of the Spy Fox games...
I could watch you play anything and be completely enthralled.
A car eating tire cereal is like us eating foot cereal
So this entire game was 15 minutes long? Man as a kid I would be so pissed off if my new game didn't even last a full episode of Sesame Street.
That was the greatest lawnmowing of all time.
The dryer in the carwash used the PK Starstorm sound effect XD
putt-putt looks like he needs his fix
He gets a carwash without putting his top up first. He's gonna ruin the seats.
Now to go looking caves to find a dog as putt putt told us.
Also, we learned don't bother to put the top up when you go for a car wash or a new paint job. The upholstery needs to get cleaned (and coated in paint) too!
"Little spiders" the size of a car tire.
I've love to see more of the Putt-Putt games, I love the series and I think its extremely funny, but I don't want to actually buy nor play them. I'd rather you make a short video like this and it be quick, simple, and funny. Thanks for the great video and I hope this feedback helps!
This game is the best, all the putt putt games are! I used to play these so much as a kid and all I cared about is the food.
"I have honked at many a cow" xD I feel like that's how you wound up pushing up roses, honked at one too many a cow D:
I really would love seeing some of the other putt putt games this brings back the best memories
Feels weird that most Humongous Entertainment games can be completed in just under an hour. I remember spending several hours playing them when I was young.

I used to love the Putt Putt games. They're adorable and I had/still have an obsession with cars... Ah nostalgia
I love these old videos they make me feel so happy ....I hope you know that these really help with anxiety and I genuinely always enjoyed the big entertainment computer games too and always wondered what I was missing out on as a kid since I didn't get the hone all them so it's cool getting to see them being played

Definitely do more of these! You have so much fun doing these, and it definitely rubs off on the audience.
All I can think about is PBG. "Why are there so many mails!"
WHY ARE THERE SO MANY MAILS.
Kiera Billips Mails. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Kiera Billips yay im purple.....agian...
I hope that guy didn't want his mail because theeeere it gooooes!!
I like it when you do collaborative let's plays, especially on these kiddy games I used to play. I just enjoy the banter
I love the ending. You don't need a carwash. Just paint over the dirt, it's fine.
More Humongous Entertainment games, please! :-)
I love Putt-Putt games, my favourite was Putt-Putt travels through time. If you were going to play another Putt-Putt game, I would suggest that one.
Thanks again, Roses, this was another game my class played in Elementary school whilst in the computer lab.
So many childhood memories....man, I remember enjoying these games so long ago.
"If you live in a cave long enough you learn to juggle and do tricks" - the story of the 2020 quarantine
I like these kids games when you just want something simple to play :)
And do a review/let's play of Hokus Pokus Pink, it's somewhere between this and mid 90s point and click adventures if I remember it correctly. Totally awesome game :)
How did I spend HOURS playing this game as a kid? Thanks for the memories!
This is perfect. I hope you have done all of the Putt-Putt, Freddi Fish, Pajama Sam, and Spy Fox games too. Probably not, but one can hope.
Awwww... I always thought Putt-Putt's chin melanoma was so cute!
Car Town... yeah remember that other kids game about the human set in Human Town? No one thought that was redundant at all, nor worried about what they might call the next town along either.
23:16 you sounded like your papyrus impression. lol even though you made this way before your undertale let's play lol
You should definitely do a let's play of Putt-Putt goes to the Moon. It has the best soundtrack of any Humongous game (IMO). So jazzy.
I'm 16 years old and I still love the Humongous Entertainment games.☺ But unfortunately my computer can't play most of the older games like this one.😦
Google ScumVM and enrich your life.
I'd love to see more humongous play throughs! Maybe another Putt Putt or Pajama Sam game. I remember I could never beat pajama Sam 3. ^^
Also you're right about Pep making kids want dogs. I remember being actually kind of sad that I could never befriend a lost dog. XD
Wow. I never actually did over the nails when I played this game. That would explain why he knows Chuck in Putt Putt Enters the Race.
“SUNDAY! SUNDAY!!!!! SUUUUUNNNDAY!!!!” 🤣🤣
Also, “PuttPutt, you’re such an enabler” 😂😂
I love when you play games like this. Very funny.
Ah, this takes me back to my Hyperman days. I may have played that game entirely too much. An entertaining Let's Play. Good show madam.
Where's Timothy Mouse From Dumbo?he Should've Been With That Mouse Marching Band
Who would've thought an anthropomorphic car would be soooo adorable?
Putt Putt joins the Parade...why? Just because!
HE games are still amazingly entertaining, sober or otherwise. They were...dare I say, a humongous part of my childhood. Please do more HE titles? :)
Yes!!!!! PUTT PUTT! i've been waiting for you to play a putt putt game
Now you have to play all the Humongous Entertainment games.
That sound effect when you put money in, maybe it's me, but it reminded me of Donald's mad instrument-playing skillz (and I do mean mad) in Symphony Hour, y'know when he went batshit insane and played them all at once?

"cows are stubborn little shits" - PUR '14
you thought you missed the jump i played this in the late 90's like '99 and more or less 2000
it was still a good game tho
I'd love to see you do a full let's play of pajama Sam or spy fox. Those games were my childhood :3
To be fair I've never heard a cow moo like that. It was like it started mooing with it's mouthful or started choking on the grass it was eating. Or maybe that's how a cow would moo if it's mouth was shut, you know what? I'm putting to much thought into this x3
thanks Roses :) this made my day
My mom bought this for my little brother when he was 3 (a couple of years after this came out I think?) but I ended up playing it despite being 7 years older than him. 😂
I think even today I would still have fun playing this. I know the game like the back of my hand and it's so cute and charming. 😊
yay more kids games. i always loved freddy fish
Poor family never got their groceries.
HAWT DAWG! My lawns gonna get _cut_.
Aw man, that was my childhood as with the rest of the Humungos Entertainment games.
Yes another humongous entertainment game but also try out some point and click games on steam. One I recommend is the Blackwell Legacy, for me it was very addicting

I feel like the car wash is more like a public shower.
Love this game! Cartoon food is awesome!
Putt-Putt's drawing in this game looks very scary. No wonder they changed it in the following Putt-Putt games. He looks psychotic in this.
you should play Putt-Putt travels through time! it was the only Putt-Putt i played and it was awesome!
The Steam versions are probably the newer version, so yeah, there are deleted scenes that are not on them, like in Freddy Fish, you can see Freddy imagines that eel thing eating Luther. XD
Yeah, Steam versions will probably be the more boring ones.
That was fun to watch. Thanks for the video!
Puttputt's idle expression is just a little bit scary. And who would abandon a dog in a cave!? Run them down Puttputt!
Your videos rewatch value is great. If you've covered this in other videos, I'm sorry; but would you consider doing three again?! I'd definitely watch you play these again
Oh man, I remember loving this game when I was little. Think my dad was very happy when he could finally take it off the computer. XD
I only ever played Putt Putt saves the zoo, was mostly into pajama sam and freddi fish growing up/to this day. A world of talking thinking cars just weirded me out as a kid. Not like the sane world of talking thinking sea creatures and talking thinking everything else.
"I would like to mow your lawn"
"Kewl! you can mow my lawn!" if you know what I mean...
Sometimes I hate my brain...
When it comes to real world food it depends who (or my case for whom) it is prepared. (as I love to cook)
Putt Putt's permanent grin kreeps me out.
Why does put put's expression remind me so much of Glottis? Anyways, yes please more awesome adventure games!
Wait, I played this game a bunch as a kid as it was the only Putt-Putt game we had, but if we assume Smoky is a normal sized fire engine, then Putt-Putt is really small. If I ever called somebody Mrs. Airbag (btw, where is Mr. A during this whole ordeal?) I would probably get slapped ten ways to Tuesday.
ive honked at many a cow. I often drive through peoples farms to honk repeatedly at their horses and cows.
I like to believe Putt-Putt lives in a universe where the vehicles from Maximum Overdrive won the planet and had children.
