I love to hear Liyah and LaTisha speak. I am a cisgender man and I know these women had to go through so much trauma. They’ve watched their friends die from violence or disease, and for them to sit here today and persevere I have nothing but the utmost respect.
I had to come here to comment on this episode! This is my favorite thus far... seeing my sisters from my era, actually I'm from the white era, pre 1985 but I stopped walking in 1987 and would just come out to spectate and judge occasionally. Love Liyah since since seeing her at one of the Xtrava balls I believe in 1989 and she went by "Starr" Legend, I've seen this woman in action being the motherly figure that she was/is to her daughters. Glad to see she's still here and wish her and Latisha The Body all the best. With love to all the survivors.❤
This is a lovely episode, and truly amazing to see these woman get their flowers. This really makes me want to see you all sit down the Holy Trinity FQ Performance: Ashley, Alyssa, and Sinia.
These episodes with the iconic pioneers are such a pleasure! Nobody is doing it like y’all! The stories, the authenticity, the history! It just keeps getting better and better!
this episode was nothing short of amazing! it was beautiful watching the exchange between different generations of FQs tell their stories. Liyah Richards is such a gem and excellent storyteller and brought me back to the days of Christopher St and the Piers. And Latisha is real as rain giving me very much so around the way girl who will tell it like it is. Love them both and glad to see them on this platform schooling the next generation of girls
Congratulations Ladies on another magnificent episode. You all looked beautiful and real as rain. I really enjoyed this episode with The Iconic Pioneer Mothers Liyah Richards and Latisha Revlon. I love hearing their stories.
I love the pre-interview conversations so much, especially when the topic of Ballroom growing publicly but not internally was addressed. Because the outside world is paying attention. They see the transmisogynoir, and hear the stories of rampant physical abuse, sexual abuse, drug abuse, and the other various types of harm being committed within the community. Unfortunately, it also seems as though Ballroom as a whole does not have any desire to rectify any of these behaviors, or truly hold anyone accountable for their actions; particularly if they have status. And there are a lot of people who don't want to support any entity that appears to mostly cause and/or enable harm.
Wow she’s a powerful speaker her power has always been within she said she’s looking at the ground and seeing her reflection but actually she looked down and said ima be ground breaking she’s important to the ballroom scene to this day trophy her
production tips - bring the couches forward and place the side tables with the flowers moreso in the background by the tv. Your shot is unreasonably wide, they feel too far. Those pink lights are cute BACKlighting but the girls need good softbox lighting in the front - your shadows are too deep. Hopefully y’all can get the old mics back because the lavalier mics are picking up EVERYTHING. Love the show so much but the current production is distracting❤❤
Liyah is so right we learned old way and new way so that we could develop a style. Old way and new way are the foundation of vouge, you take what you like and leave the rest.
Anytime..but remember she was my sister 1st...lol House of Legend where she was born 😅😅... 💋 u baby.. and loved my idol Hector nookie X founder and my Fq performance idol Bianca X ❤❤
Maybe it’s me but I don’t think liyah was taking about lola because liyah doesn’t walk face I think she was talking about barbie , I could be wrong but im mostly definitely positive she’s talking about Barbie because 1. She didn’t know the girl name & 2. She just said she was lightskin & had blonde hair . Idk tbh🤣🤣
Hi, I'm not sure of the beautiful lady.. I was trying to say her house needs to invest in her production to really sell her beauty. Maybe overrated was the wrong word. Sometimes, a grand production or entrance really brings a beautiful face through.
I literally said the same thing I believe she was talking about Barbie, but when I went back and look at the interview with Lola, Lola did have blonde hair in, so I’m not sure.
who ever in the background being HELLA loud like is someone washing dishes ? no shade…. i like the first season the set up was better with the mics and closer up.
why did we as a community ever make Diddy a black king? we have known for years how he plays with people's money. he's a tyrant in business and that was admired. now you're questioning why someone is a bad person because they're a freak? that's not what he's guilty of or being accused of. WHEN has Diddy ever shown support for trans rights? you guys defend these black kings as if you aren't the same community suffering from their actions. It gets really confusing tbh.
What is going on with the background noise? Are you in a warehouse, is someone moving in or moving out? The sound and the set from last season is missed. The lighting is giving C grade diner, lower the lights to keep the flies away. I love the show, love the concept but Not sure why all these changes.
@kaimixedboi but what did you think of the interview? Yall quick to shade them over minor things and glaze over the statements Liyah and Latisha made or how incredible it is to even have an interview with them to start with....
it was a great interview. I love the nuggets they shared and the storytelling. This is a time capsule for future generations to watch and experience. As with any public forum, everyone will have an opinion be it good, bad, or indifferent.
Wow, what a wonderful , Inspirational, and phenomenal episode watching these two legendary ladies Liyah and Latisha is seeing actually history come to life 🙌🏾 These are legendary women who are beyond commendable because coming up in the late eighties and mid nineties wasn’t easy for m2f who live with gender dysphoria and had to deal with real life adversities. Calling Lola over rated is crazy! When looking like that

Okay you go up there and join their production team then...and maintain their book keeping for set costs....
@ that’s probably where the biggest change is, and I don’t mind contributing monetarily so they can get their mojo back. 👍🏽
