we have Alya to thank for Ladybug giving back the miraculous to the holders whos identities were revealed. Alya breaking out of hawkmoths control restored Ladybugs faith in trusting the others with miraculous without thinking about the worst possible outcome, because just like Alya, Nino, and the others stick to their selfless nature and choose to be hero's with or without powers. None of them are easy for Hawkmoth to persuade and manipulate without akumatizing, after all, they stick to their better judgment, and so long as they don't know who ladybug and cat noir really are or have any serious connection to them, they are useless to him as he cant easily find a weakness to use to his advantage to get them to betray ladybug and cat noir.
Ephemeral is the 100th episode of the entire series and although most of it is good, the ending kinda ruined it for me, those who’ve seen it can understand. Oh and there are currently four episodes not out, Qilin, Penalteam, Risk, and Strike Back. Qilin and Penalteam have air dates leaving only the two finale parts.
So in the last scene where Gabriel orders Adrien to go to his room, u can see him fiddling with his ring. This might be a small nod to the theory of Adrien being a sentimonster (just a theory) and his amok being in the ring. Keep a close lookout for it in the future episodes too.

Marinette doesn't exactly have other people she can entrust with the Miraculouses unless she actively started looking for new holders left and right (and usually she gets those during situations of extreme danger). With her options limited, she has no choice but to ask for help from previous holders. ...kinda stings in a way because she's relying on them in spite of the very reason Chloé got bitter enough to switch sides. But she can't really pull new holders out of a hat either as much as she wishes she could.

In case people are wondering, its because of what happened to Alya in "Gang of Secrets" that finally persuaded Ladybug to once again try entrusting miraculous to holders who's identities are known by hawkmoth. The reason being is because Alya proved to Ladybug she and the others wont be easily persuaded by hawkmoth, he cant take advantage of the others as easily since they stick to their own better judgment and selfless morals, they can make their own heroic choices with or without powers, and this selfless nature is exactly why ladybug eased up on the whole, "no miraculous if your identity is exposed to hawkmoth". In addition, none of them know who ladybug and cat noir really are or have shown any serious attachment or connection to her, making them extremely difficult for hawkmoth to target and figure out some sort of weakness without akumatizing them so he can use them to get them to betray ladybug.
