I never really thought about the cities of refuge being Levitical cities. This would allow the people seeking refuge there to be surrounded by Torah learning and cohanim. What a good plan!
@Adam Have you read, really read Talmud Yerushalmi? I have seen it as the book for inside Israel, as they live inside, and there are special things inside it.
Thanks Eliyahu. It's possible that Yeshua is unique in that he is like Melchizedek- both Priest and King. By the way, where did Melchizedek come from? There's not much history on him...
Melchitzedek was not a Jew, not from Israel, not a king of the Jews, and not a priest for the nation of Israel. I don't understand why you would want to classify Jesus as a gentile idolater like Melchitzedek and Jethro.
Usually, there are 2 reasons why it is said like this Psalm 110 and Hebrews 6, cause in Hebrews writer sees what Psalm 110 talks about ישוע and that is the reason why מלכי צדק is referred to as an example of Messiah. It is a really common way to see Malkitsadeq as Yeshua who has appeared as materialized word of יהוה. This is why it is usually mentioned to be. No one really knows Malki Tsadeq and the only 3 times it is referred to in the Bible, 2 times in Tanakh and one time in Brit Chadasha.

A lot of secular Jewish baby boys are circumcised in hospital with out the bris. What then?
That is actually very problematic, requiring an additional ceremony.
