Live in southern Oregon…please lord not such Horrific fires! we’ve lost so much of our beautiful old forests…it’s our climate, it’s our oxygen, they filter the air, they pull the moisture off the ocean send it west with the prevailing winds…sure wish we could get the people to push for a Moratorium on logging in the north west, 5 yrs would help at least around our maj rivers! But the greed $$$ always wins! They just don’t see out into the future! The loggers could be given jobs replant the trees in the heavily Destroyed areas! No one listens 😔💞
I’m about 14 miles from Canada and we definitely had smokey and cloudy conditions. Warnings to stay in the house if you had breathing issues. I sure hope Canadian’s and the US don’t have to go through this again! Sending prayers 🙏
I live in the Okanagan in Canada and lots of us were evacuated, some for months because houses burned down along with forests, but I was one of the lucky ones. Our area was evacuated for only 4 days, although the area about 100 yards from me was evacuated for 6 to 8 weeks, depending on where the forest fire traveled. Hope everyone, their property and the forests are safe from these horrible fires this summer.
