I was just about to comment this exact thing! It is so inspiring to see people my age achieving what I want to do too. It really gives me hope.
This is what I'm hoping for when it comes to the West End, we had open auditions for anyone over the age of 17 so I'm really hoping that they've found some young, unknown, talented actors for it.
How old are they?
@@hyon2441 Andrew just turned 17 (he was 16 when he made his debut in March 2019). Mallory is 19, but was 17 when she was first cast as understudy/cover for Laura Dreyfuss and got the lead role as Zoe last July. (She apparently auditioned for the role when she was 15!)
I love that they really look (and are) the age of their parts. Plus, their singing and acting is amazing!

Not only are they wickedly talented for teenagers, but they look so young and pure and really makes you feel. They have that closer connection to their actual lives and still have that adolescent awkwardness that this show does so well.

they are perfect omg. i can tell they're both a bit nervous but idk that's part of the charm. i love this and i hope we see more shows that takes more of this route of hiring the accurate age actors/actresses if they had the chance.
i think some of that is the actual characterisation! the sweetness and nervousness of mallory as zoey is very different to how she normally seems on stage (ie looking at her personal channel). she's been performing since she was very young! i don't know much about him but i assume it's similar
I luv these guys bc they really sound like teenagers. Like the original cast was amazing but they sounded so... adult. These guys actually sound like 18 year olds ***hint cause they ARE***

Makena Jackson there’s also “You Will Be Found” of the current cast from a tv appearance. Not a on a Broadway stage but one can get an idea of his singing voice. I personally was relieved to hear him because I found some of that Broadway and tour Evans somewhat lacking in tonal beauty.

There need to be Tony Awards for replacement actors. Considering the Best Revival category only had two shows this year, which were equally good, they really should reward replacements. Andrew could possibly win.
The teen romance is %10000000 percent cuter it so much more pure now that it’s real teens! (Of course I still love the original Zoey and Evan but wow) just the way they keep smiling at each other is sooo pure ♥️😊
Their era in the show together was really special and the time they were in the show in general because these we’re two kids. Kids who can relate and really understand and be the characters on an emotional level that cant be replicated by those before or after who are adults. They’re just two kids on a broadway stage, living through their characters. Along with that their chemistry is amazing, and their acting and believability of them as the characters is unmatched. Im not gonna make a call that they are the best actors to ever play their character, but DEH probably wont have something like those two in a long time.

I love this version of Only us!! ITs amazing like you can tell by their body language and voices that they're nervous and like its just awesome and most importantly, THEY ARE THE CORRECT AGE!! It's also just cute like how they are acting and stuff!! I love this!!

Andrew is the best thing that could have happened to this show. I hope he stays on for years, and if he doesn’t they should find someone his age to replace him. Noah and Taylor were very talented but Andrews youth is something that can’t be acted.

These are MY Evan and Zoe. I look at these two and see two very convicing teenagers (because they're the right age and can very likely relate to the roles they're playing). He looks more his actual age than that of a teenager. Whereas Andrew here is the right age and actually SOUNDS like Ben Platt.
