Eben my mechanic said my amsoil signature series oil was "dirty" and its only been 2000 miles since i did a flush and changed the oil, is this normal? I use the amsoil filter as well. Let me know. I think my mechanic does not know what he is talking about because the oil level is still the same and the car runs like a beast.
Yes that's normal so what happens when you run the signature series that has the extra detergents that basically melt all the old buildup out of the motor so what's going to happen is once the oil filter gets full the rest of those carbon buildup is going to stay in suspension and the best thing you can do is change the oil filter you do not need the change the motor oil all you do is change the filter at about 2 to 3,000 miles on your first time you switch over to Amsoil and then the oil will clear up and you can continue to run it for 15,000 miles easily. The engine flush gets about half to three quarters of the buildup out but the stubborn stuff does not come out and that slowly comes out over time as you can continue to run the signature series. I also recommend the PI performance improver will clean the valves the injectors and all the carbon deposits inside the combustion chamber. If you have a high mileage car or a car that was neglected I recommend doing a double dose basically you do one PI cleaner and come back in about 500 mi and do another PI cleaner That will really make a huge difference on the car. If you have build up in the intake I definitely recommend the power foam That gets sprayed into the throttle body that cleans the valves and the heads also the exhaust manifolds and basically goes through and melts out all the old carbon you'll see a bunch of videos in the channel on power foam
The Amsoil filter depending on the application lasts about 12,500 mi to 25,000 mi. When you first switch over to Amsoil there's old buildup that's in the motor the build up is carbon that carbon sticks around the timing chain oil cooler ports rings and at the bottom of the oil pan. That buildup doesn't all come out when you do the flush. When you run the signature series after a few thousand miles that oil circulates and melts all the old buildup out. Once the new filter gets full doesn't matter what type of filter it is once it's full the oil will start to get very dark. The oil will still be good. The only way to get your car to run cleaner smoother and to filter the oil better is the change the oil filter. You do not have to do that. But that's what I personally do on a car that had a lot of buildup in it. Meaning if you did it on a brand new car there would be nothing you wouldn't have to change the filter early because there's no carbon buildup.
Eben, can you do a video on 0W 20 what’s the difference between signature boosted in XL 0E what makes the price difference between the three of them? Thanks

Your confused about the GL-5 applying to clutched limited slip differentials. The GL-5 designation infers higher anti scuff content and shock loading capability. The GL-5 designation itself does not signify that the lubricant has any limited slip additive. Your stuff of course does have an acceptable additive in it to accommodate limited slip diffs but that is irrelevant and separate from the GL-5 qualification. Your fluid is simply GL-5 rated, and it also contains an additive to help LSD’s operate smoothly. But the former does not infer the latter, they are completely separate as plenty (most) of GL-5 rated oils do not contain any limited slip additives and therefore do not meet the criteria for use In limited slips alone without any other additives.
Just ordered this for my 2000 Crown Victoria along with oil and transmission fluid. I work at a quick lube shop that sells Valvoline. If you want to spend less time and less money changing your oil there's only one company that can make it happen. Amsoil. It will literally put money back in your pocket

Can you do cold flow tests between snowmobile oils? Amsoil Interceptor vs Klotz, Redline, Lucas, Liqui-Moly. Keep up the good work!
Oh yeah will definitely be getting to that soon Thank you for the great suggestion!
Do you live in the US or Canada?
Have you ever used Amsoil before?
@Synthetic Oil Protection I'm from the Midwest USA. Yes, I have used Amsoil Interceptor before, but currently use Klotz.

Never really been a Lucas fan figured Amsoil was going to win this
Doesn't happen often that amsoil will lose!
😂 “Like a little juice pack you just stick it in and squeeze” 😂
Genuine Subaru 0W-20 Synthetic Motor Oil test please.
Great suggestion definitely would love to see that one
Those wrenches are much nicer than the Harbor Freight ones that I am stricken to use.
😆😁😄
Tell me about it😊
God damn that Amsoil looks tasty.
😉
Just ordered this for my 2000 Crown Victoria along with oil and transmission fluid. I work at a quick lube shop that sells Valvoline. If you want to spend less time and less money changing your oil there's only one company that can make it happen. Amsoil. It will literally put money back in your pocket
Sweet!!!
Thanks for sharing that with the channel Tyler 💯

Mucus Oil.
Wow
Tapioca pudding
😁
Lucas oil aren't that good by any means
I would never run mucus oil products in my vehicle. Notice that their oil products don't have any spec certifications on the back of their packaging.
I never noticed that I thought it said gl5 on it maybe I was looking at something else LOL
Now do you look at the comments 2 years later and pick a winner ?? LOL.. I had to try.. if I knew about you then I would have.. lol.
And trust me I KNOW MY LUCK.. lol
