The main reason is because we mow some sorghum sudangrass with this mower. I don't have them set very tight, we could probably get by without them on alfalfa.

Depends on condition, but I was mowing between 35 and 45 acres per hour.
Which conditioner do you have on the mower? Tines (Disco 1100 C) or rollers (Disco 1100 RC)?

The two fields we made haylage on are about 330 acres total.
Why do you run the conditioners?
The crimper crushes/break the stalks of the alfalfa. This speeds up the drying time of the crop.
