I work for an Entertainment Agency here in London and it's my job to get singers and actors to their concerts, premieres, TV and radio interviews on time and safely.
Josh Hartnett is a really nice guy. He kind of fell out of favour in Hollywood for a while and was hotly tipped to play Superman a while back.
It's good to see him back, via Oppenheimer and getting the credit he deserves.
What if he's not the killer? 🤔 Maybe he captured what he thinks is the butcher ..... Only to discover later that the person he has locked up isn't the killer either.
We shall see! Then we can all laugh together at just how wrong I am 😄🇬🇧

Josh never fell out of favor with the industry. He was buried with scripts he didn’t want to do so casting directors stopped chasing him. He had been working some interesting roles (Virgin Suicides, The Faculty) in indies and he liked to stretch his versatility . When Pearl Harbor was critically trashed, he was disillusioned and didn’t want to be known as a bad actor. Went on hiatus at home. Came back to fulfill his contrat then went right back into indies where we grew a reputation over most of 20+ years. Very selective. Tried televion bcuz of people he admired in film and theater signed on to work with big hitters Logan and Mendes. Looooved working Penny Dreadful! By its end he was having kids and cutting down his work schedule to spend more family time. Both Ritchie and Nolan wanted him for their films because they thought his choice of roles was very interesting and he had great acting chops.and they were neighbors 😁 Hollywood directors have always admired his talent but were disappointed he turned down commitments for long superhero movies. As it came out later, some studio heads lost money promising investors a commodity they couldn’t deliver. Those are the guys he said he shouldn’t have said no too, like Weinstein Brothers and Bruckheimer.
Happy ending for Hartnett now. Doing both indies he likes and blockbusters (Tho Ritchie film had to go to dvd when Covid closed theaters.) Nolan says he was excited he got Josh for Oppie as he liked his indie versatility and always wanted to work with him since he was “a young interesting actor” he wanted to work with decades ago. But they only did a phone call, as Nolan does, and role of super hero with years commitment Hartnett didn’t want. Nolan said they had a good relationship for many years and for some time neighbors. Hartnett did projects close to home xcept for 6 weeks of Oppie. Black Mirror S6E3, Exterminate the Brutes, The Fear Index series Operation Fortune, all released in 2023. He’s happy as a clam with a wife and 4 kids living in the English countryside with a SAG ensemble award, 1 film in pre-production and 1 in post. He has $30 million and healthy stock portfolio. His major life decision he made at 22 panned out beautifully. A really normal, full and rich life. I really admire him.

@@mgariepy42 very interesting comment, thank you. I am simply relaying what I have been hearing and have been told from bigwigs and peers - within the industry itself.
But then it's Hollywood. I've been around long enough to know you can't just take what you hear at face value and most will smile to your face while stabbing you in the back. That's just par for the course.
Clearly not many wanted him to rise. I've asked him this question myself and had some very typically diplomatic answers.
I'll ask again if he comes to promise this movie in the UK. 🤔🙂

I can’t help but wonder if we’ve seen the twist or is there going to be another big twist!!??😂🤷🏼‍♂️

He wouldn’t put the twist in a trailer, would he? I’m guessing he is not the butcher. Is he keeping a victim in the basement for his daughter who IS the butcher? Can’t sit to see this!

He's not the killer, it's obvious. Cool trailer.
