OP is going to have to accept that she stopped being his daughter when she betrayed him during the custody battle.
She was lost to him when she chose to remain full time with her mother.
How come OP never talked to Mary about her substance abuse? How come he didn't offer counciling and/or rehab? I understand the need to protect his GF's children. But he literally kicked his troubled teenage daughter to the curb. Yes, sometimes tough love is absolutely necessary. But OP didn't offer any kind of help. Maybe, just Maybe if OP had offered Mary help she would have excepted it happily. Now both of her parents have turned their backs on her. Parents of the year.

@@jharris3267 That is quite possible. But as a parent, if it was your child, wouldn't you offer to help even if they didn't ask? I know I would.
You need to have more info on your stories like no more short endings
I don’t like this. Instead of helping her, you kicked her out. As far as I can tell, no effort was made to help her prior to this. This doesn’t speak well to efforts to help addicts kick their bad habits.
You can't help an addict unless they ask for help. Also you're forgetting that there were other children in this story. What happens when she starts stealing from them. I'm speaking from experience. No I never did drugs, but I know someone who did.
You can’t do this for them. Mary needed to ask for help. She asked for what she wanted a place to crash while she still used.
