Today is day 5 for me after lower facelift, neck lift, chin implant, lip lift and a bit of dermabrasion on my upper lip. For me the surgery was painful, as I didn’t think I’d be aware of what was going on (Twilight or Local, not sure what it was)…all I know is I felt every time he put the needle in to freeze me. I’m still wearing my chin strap, terrible bruising, no feeling and hard under my chin, and I can only open my mouth a bit to eat. Had a cry yesterday morning and I think that helped. Looking forward to better days ahead….would I do it over again? Not sure but I am hoping in weeks to come I’ll say it was worth every bit of the pain/discomfort.
Barbara, we are sorry to hear of your early recovery experience. It sounds like it hasn’t been easy for you busy suspect that things will continue to improve with your recovery. Check with your surgeon to make sure things are healing as expected. It’s not unusual for patients to experience some “sadness” following surgery. Crying probably was helpful! Get outside and go for a walk. We find that often helps patients feel more connected to the world and helps psychologically. Every day things will improve. Hang in there! Thank you for sharing.
Hi, you look great!!! What other additional procedures have you done post-surgery. CO2 resurfacing. How long after surgery did you have resurfacing done? Did you have to wait a certain amount of time?
@@barbaramoore5070 my best to you! I just had mine done at 63 It's quite the recovery which I am going through now.. nobody prepares even if you listen to videos day in and day out.. it messes with your mind. :) But my best!
@@pobox244 Yes, I have been watching a lot of recovery videos and for some it seems like a breeze, and then others look like they’ve been hit by a Mack truck…..wishing you all the best for a total recovery and I hope every day brings a bit less pain and stress!!! 🍀🍀
@@barbaramoore5070 what a sweetheart you are! I appreciate you responding. Yes I have to remember this is a marathon not a sprint.. takes patience and though the internet is extremely helpful comparing one's results after surgery is not. You have a wonderful day!!!

Barbara, how are you feeling about your surgery now? Would you do it again with what you know now?
