Jones only flaw as of late is that he sits back too much and anyone his own size can exploit that like Reyes for example. Tom has sparred Tyson Fury for many years, who is bigger, longer and higher level of defensive movement. Jones hasn't displayed one shot power that would be of concern to Aspinall. What Jones does best is mix up techniques and break the flow of a fight. He switches up the tempo subtly and to great effect. Yes it makes sense for Jones' bank account. Doesn't make sense in the fact that there's an interim champ waiting to unify the championship. No one can replicate what Jon has done. So Ego aside. In terms of mma years, he's old. He must choose his fights carefully. Even Alex wants to fight Jiri now instead of Ankelaeve. Beating Tom doesn't add much to Jon's egacy honesty. People will still question his credentials at HW.
