I'll Cry Instead was in fact in true stereo on Something New. Something New was the first Capitol LP to have all true stereo tracks - no duofonic / fake stereo. Good video and presentation.
I still have the soundtrack album. The song I’ll Cry Instead is listed on both the cover and the label as “I Cry Instead”. Will have to listen to it to check out the longer version you mentioned.
Yes you are 100% right. Although that song "The Inner Light" ended up as the b-side to "Lady Madonna", so it didn't appear on one of their studio albums until much later when it showed up on the Past Masters compilation.

Regarding "Fact #1": yes, "A hard day's night" may be a good-sounding title for the movie - but please, note: actually the whole movie takes place during daytime...
Fact No. 11: Since the initial Ed Sullivan shows, the world essentially did not see The Beatles until "A Hard Day's Night" was released. Fact No. 12: All the songs in the movie were painfully slowed down, perhaps to meet the visual needs of the filming.
IMO A Great Movie disregarding the fact it was the band The Beatles! it's got to be seen, as a 60's cinematic movie master piece! it should never be Colorized.........IMO that would be a sin! Now was it Ringo or their limo driver, coming up with the name. John was amazing, I don't care what he said about himself!
