    I do love to hunt around some treasure like paintings, sculptures and collectibles of unique antiquity value. I did find one antique beetle made of original Egyptian stone ...which is adorned by royals of Egyptians...it turned out to be original relic. And seller hardly knew what the hell was it ...I got it for peanut price. Did sell it making good profit.

    Just wanna add about those cheap new products like shampoo and soap, those things are legit products straight out of their respective factories.
    The reason they’re cheaper is because when big companies like Tesco or 7/11 adjust their ordered lots, there tends to be the surplus from the production line. Those products would being sell in front of the factory at a certain time of the day, and the small-time merchants would buy them cheaply and able to mark up the price enough to make profit and still undercut most convenient stores.
    So yeah, don’t worry about bootleg stuffs, because the real products can be much more cheaper than you think.

    • @LifewithSerg
      @LifewithSerg  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That makes a lot of sense. A lot of times products like this are sold at Marcus because they are coming near the expiration date. I would see this at minimarkets in the US.

    I heard you say that you originated out of Russia in 1980 but you have no accent anymore? You must’ve moved to the states young enough where you eventually lost it, huh?
    The food looked wonderful and good pic on the Pepsi shirt and the black bandanna. I was thinking about what I would carry with me every day when I’m out and about in any country in Southeast Asia and it would be a couple of bandannas. You can shade the sun on your neck or on top of your head you can carry an extra one with your poop kit and TP and paper towel type stuff. I would put that stuff in a Ziploc bag and tuck it in my . I heard in most places they don’t even have toilet paper available. Hence all the dudes, carrying backpacks and . Lol
    We were a Pepsi family. We bought Pepsi, eight packs of bottles when I was a kid we kept them just outside the kitchen door in the garage on the garage floor most of the time it didn’t even have to be in the refrigerator because I live in Michigan , things are cooling off here after Thanksgiving. I’m going to load up my RV trailer and head south and then out west to Phoenix area, then back to Michigan to work next summer. Retirements just around the corner. I’m trying to catch up on all your older videos, enjoying your channel.

    • @LifewithSerg
      @LifewithSerg  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah, I moved to the US when I was nine years old, so the only accent I have now is an English accent when I speak Russian. Lol. Some bathrooms don’t have toilet paper, you’re correct. I don’t carry a backpack or one of those horrible man bags that you see so many people carrying here. I might have some tissue on me once in a great while, but there’s always a 7-Eleven or some kind of a little convenient store nearby. I hope you have a wonderful time in Phoenix.

    You forgot to mention the most important thing here. Take a Thai with you ! As soon as you rock up as a foreigner , SO does the price and the ability to bargain. I will walk seperate from my wife when in the markets and point at something I want for her to follow up and buy at local price. There have been 2 - 500baht price diferences for us depending on who asked about the items. And I have been here 20 + years.

    • @LifewithSerg
      @LifewithSerg  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, it does help, however, I’ve been buying and selling stuff for almost 25 years, and I have enough understanding of numbers to be able to try and bargain. The best tool you can use if you’re interested in some thing the price is too high, it’s just start to walk away, nine out of 10 times the seller will give you a better price. I know this for both a selling and buying standpoint. However, having someone that speaks, the language is a huge plus!

Lately, I've been getting free clothes and shoes from friends who are cleaning out their closets to make more room for new purchases. It's a win-win situation for both parties. My friends win because they need to get rid of unused clothes and shoes, and I win because I get free things to sell online! Recycling clothing helps keep them out of landfills and gives them a new life.

    I wonder if it's worth buying stuff if you don't live there. Like if someone was there on vacation and found some really cool stuff for cheap, I guess you could mail them to yourself rather than try to bring it back on a plane and through customs. I mean, I get stuff sent to me from China all the time and it's cheap. Often I wonder how they can send these things almost for/or free a lot of the time when the merch is so cheap to begin with. Crazy.

      This is stuff that would pretty much be thrown away in Japan. They bring it here because they can sell it. To ship anything this heavy internationally would not be worthwhile. These items have two little value, and you’ll spend more on shipping one of these, than you paid for it

    Hi Serg. You've made your trip more and more interesting, every time I watch your video. You speak Thais very well, wonder how long and how many times you've been in to Thailand, before living here. There's a little story about Pepsi and Coke (Coca Cola) in the past in Thailand. Ever since then, Pepsi became more popular in Thailand. Someday I will tell you the story.
    Good luck! Have fun!
