Huey Leadbetter “Cursed are those who put their trust in humans”. There you have it! I trust Jesus. You trust Paul and piper. Even Ezekial Said it! are you going to say he had a black heart too? The Bible even tells you not to trust men..I don’t know why you think I am so wicked because that is what I say too? You have such a double standard.
When King David prays “search me o God and see if there is any wicked way in me.” Tells me only God has the key to my heart. He is the only one that can search my heart and know it. So is the Christian heart deceitfully wicked? Yes, because we have to ask God to search it for us. There is a blind spot we have which deceives us. To Create a clean heart requires a purifying process.
King David wasn't sealed with the Holy Spirit. He didn't have a new heart, and was not born of incorruptible seed, or, had not become a New Creation, cause Christ had not yet died. The Holy Spirit searches the deep things of God and reveals them to us. It's the spirit of the man, that knows the deep things of man. Problem? Not walking by the spirit. I walk in the Kingdom of Light. Now, there may be dark spots still in my life, but, those are the things the Holy Spirit is helping me be delivered from, by revealing to me, the Truth. The Truth sets us free, cause it humbles us. It's not usually an instant transformation, and yet, I am the Righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, right now. I am not who I used to be, and have not become who I will be. I'm transforming into the image of God. I see God, don't you? I don't mean with my two eyeballs stuck in my face, but, with my spirit/heart. He is lovely. He is beautiful. The Bible says that the pure in heart shall see God, doesn't it? I must have a pure heart, cause I see Him, and love Him, more, and more.
To Manny and Nicky: The best I can understand is the purification process takes place when ....... Jesus says MT 16:24 Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. So I don’t think we use our heart to purify our heart.
But John, you say this without even mentioning that our SOUL is translated from death into life when we are "saved" or "sealed" or "born again" or "indwelt" or "regenerated"... you omit saying that our BODY (which includes our sinful heart) are not made incorruptible until the resurrection. THAT is a major omission.
@@3345646 ... John, the "purification" of our BODY (including our sinful heart) does not occur until the resurrection when we receive our new spiritual and incorruptible body (or the Last Saints are "changed" in the twinkling of a eye"). -----------------
I think Jer 17:9 is referring first and foremost to unregenerate people, but also to a lesser extent to regenerate people as well. When we are regenerated, the amount of moral disease in us begins to decrease, but it will still be there in large measure until we die or the Lord returns.
Respectfully, Rom 7:15-20 begs to differ. although we now have a heart of flesh where we are indwelled with the Holy Spirit, we can grieve him we are still at risk and vulnerable to our wicked hearts, until we put on our incorruptible flesh in glorification.
Thumbs up. That is correct. And not only that. But also remember the parable of wheat and tares. We as finite human beings can't always see the heart of another person. So let's not be in a hurry to evaluate someone as " born again " or NOT " born again " simply because they make that claim. Only her hairdresser knows for sure whether she's a Lady Clairol Blonde or not . . . with all due respect. (Excuse me for rolling my eyes.)
We're all born with deceitful hearts but by becoming Christians and believing in Christ the Holy Spirit works in our hearts to make us a new creation. Romans 6:17 and Acts 15:9.
Every day God gives us the choice to walk according to the flesh or His Spirit. This enabling power comes from Him if we are willing to yield to Him. I will bring Him near and he will come close to Me, for who is he who will devote himself to be close to Me? declares the LORD. Jer.30:21
Shelly... when you say "God gives us..." that only applies to the "wheat" in the church and does not apply to the "tares" in the church. Remember that the church consists of BOTH "children of Satan" and "children of God" and we can tell the difference by their "fruit"... which includes doctrines. -------------
@@wisevirgin3405 The true church is the saved people of God. There are no tares in the true church. For example, in Eph 5:23 Paul says: '. . .Christ is the head of the church. He is the Savior of the body.' This implies that all those in the true church are saved. In Matt 13:38 the field in which the wheat and the tares grow is said to be 'the world', not the church. You are absolutely right that we can discern the difference between children of Satan and children of God by their fruit (Matt 7:16-20). Sometimes it's not possible to decide, when there is little information to go on, but at other times we can tell. And you are right too that fruit includes doctrines.

@Wise Virgin Indeed, but sanctification will not be brought to completion while we still live on Earth, for he who says he is without sin deceived himself, and the truth is not in him. John said those who live in a continual state of sin, and revel in their sin have not the light of God.
@@wisevirgin3405 My old creation was a sinner, but then I was born again and became a new creation (saint) which cannot sin because of Jesus seed in Me. (1 Jn 3:6) It takes faith to believe that ones flesh is dead. God has truly removed sin from me, which is why I can no longer sin because of Christ.
Brendon Burdett Hi Brendon. Either you’re highly enlightened or you’re a glutton for punishment. Either way, you have to know that people will resist the idea of a “sinless” life. I commend you for your bold claim! Are you prepared to offer reason(s) for your confidence? BTW....I completely agree with you. Unless you’re speaking metaphorically, in which case, you’re simply restating what most believe anyway.
Remember the old man is still in there waging war against the spirit that has transformed our minds and hearts. We fight the old man/flesh every day. Our hearts are still deceitfully wicked above all things because as born again believers we are still deceived by our old self at times. So it’s 100% accurate to say that ALL peoples hearts are deceitfully wicked above all things. And to know that a born again believers mind has been transformed which gives the heart new passions and desires for the things of the Lord and not on the flesh as it used to be. So through the spirit our hearts are made new by the newness of the mind. But don’t get it twisted, if your heart is operating under the guides of the flesh, it is just as deceitfully wicked as it has always been.
Catfish.... often it is just a matter that people do not understand that when they are regenerated (or born-again) it is ONLY their SOUL that is translated from death to life. That their FLESH was never "born-again" and (as you said) wars against our soul daily. ------------------
Catfish... I agree what you say in the beginning (above) is Biblical. We do war with our flesh daily. That is because when we are "saved" or "born again" or "indwelt" it is ONLY our SOUL that is translated from death into life. We are stuck with this sinful body (including a sinful heart) until the resurrection when we receive our new spiritual incorruptible body... or, the Last Saints, are "changed" in a "twinkling of an eye". -------------------
@@deandalley3607 yea the old testament even talks about the new heart. So I’m a bit confused on this answer of John Piper and Catfish Ezekiel 36:26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.
A well meaning response but inaccurate. Yes our hearts are still desperately wicked if we are living in the flesh. If we walk in the spirit we will not gratify the desires of the flesh. That's not the point of this though. The good news for the child of God is they are no longer slaves to sin. The desperately wicked heart. We can choose to walk in the new nature. If we dont, it leads to death. Not spiritual death, but the consequences that sin produces are mortally dangeroua to the believer. It's why scripture talks so much about being controlled by the spirit. Hope this answers the question.

Thanks for the breakdown Pastor John. However, the ending confused me a little. It seems like you were implying that God gives the Christian a new heart upon salvation, which would replace/get rid of their "old deceitful & wicked" heart (which I interpreted to mean that a Christian cannot have/struggle a deceitful & wicked heart). Still, at the end, you described how God is transforming our hearts over time, which makes me think that there is room for a Christian's heart to still be deceitful at times. Can our heart's still try to deceive us or feel prone to do evil/wander (
W e are spirit, soul, and body. All three must be redeemed. The spirit at rebirth/born again/justified/called/cant loose it/past tense. The soul is redeemed at the judgement seat of Christ for those who pursue sanctification by cooperation with the Holy Spirit through out this life time. The soul (intellect, emotion, and will) intersects with the spirit at the heart and the spirit rules or the sin nature (our evil soul) and determines the fruit we bear. Soul salvation (1 Pt 1.9, Heb 10.39, James 1.21) is present tense/chosen/worked for/inheritance/can loose it/our hope/eternal (age lasting) life/qualification to reign and rule with Christ for 1000 years. The body is redeemed at the rapture where the 1st death occurs (the sin nature is killed) and we stand before Christ in a natural body and receive a glorified body then or 1000 years later per 1 Cor 15.51/52. This is the future tense of salvation.

The short of the answer, as John Piper said, is pretty clear: the Christian's heart is being transformed into the likeness of Christ's. To my understanding, in short, we're 'on the way', so to speak: until heaven, though, it won't be complete. Or, rather, He won't be done with transforming us into the likeness of His Son. Every day we still will struggle with the old man. So is the heart deceitful and desperately wicked? On this side of the veil, for both Christian and non-Christian alike the answer is yes. Guard your heart, and trust in God rather than leaning on your own understanding. (From Proverbs 3:5-6) Note the verbage: "lean on." Don't make your last call be only the things you understand. If you trust God with your salvation, it would be inconsistent then to not trust Him with your life when you don't understand everything. God does want us to seek wisdom (just see Proverbs!) and use our minds (Matthew 22:37): but not to view ourselves as the final authority nor to view our understanding as the final and complete picture.

@Ps. John, a born again new creation believer (saint) has a new heart. They are the ones who have taken the time to search Gods kingdom and His righteousness and in turn have been adopted by God. The old creation has a wicked heart because it is sin conscience, whereas a new heart cannot sin because God has removed the seed of sin and replaced it with the seed of Christ (1 Jn 3:9)...a Christian who believes they can still sin, has not died to the flesh and has never known God...(misled) (1 Jn 3:6). We must preach the doctrine of Godliness (1 Tim 3:6) which is according to right believing (good work) and not right living (dead work).
no child... you need to read 1 John again carefully. You cited two (2) verses... I have copied them below. You must learn the difference between the SOUL and the BODY. -------------------------------------- 1Jn 3:6 Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him. ---------------------------------------- 1Jn 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. ---------------------------------------- Now, the verse above says "whosoever is born of God"... let me ask you a question child: When we are "born of God" or "born again" or "regenerated" or "saved".... (wait for it....) WHAT is "born again"? Is it our SOUL.... or is it our FLESH... or is it both? Read what John says: ----------------------------------------- Joh 3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. ------------------------------------------ Remember child, when we are "born again" God transfers our SOUL from death to life. However, we still live in an unsaved BODY. We do not receive our spiritual (and incorruptible) bodies until the resurrection. ------------------------------------------ 1Co 15:50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. ------------------------------------------ So, in order to understand 1 John you must FIRST understand the DIFFERENCE between our SOUL and our FLESH. Because only ONE of them is "born again". That is WHY you see what appears to be a contradiction to your "theory" in the verses below (also written by John) ---------------------------------------------- 1Jn 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. ---------------------------------------- 1Jn_2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: ------------------------------------------- And this is why [in Romans] Paul agonizes about how he cannot eliminate all sin because he is still in the flesh - and the flesh (not the soul) continues to sin. ------------------------------------------------ Rom_7:15 For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I. 16 If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good. 19 For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do. 20 Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. ----------------------------------------------------- In 1 John the Apostle makes the DISTINCTION between the SOUL which is reborn and does not sin (the verses you offered) and the FLESH which is NOT reborn and which continues to sin (1Jn 1:8 and 1Jn 2:1) ------------------------------------------------------ If you say that you (both body and soul) DO NOT SIN then 1Jn 1:8 says you are a liar. It is ONLY by understanding the difference between a "born again" SOUL and the "sin nature" FLESH that we can understand 1 John. ------------------------------------------------------ But you already KNOW that you sin daily. That is not "news" to you. The Apostle John is only saying (as did Paul in Rom 7) that it is your sinful FLESH (which was never "born again") that sins even when you (your SOUL) does not want to sin. -------------------------------------------------------- I hope this helps you to understand what is a difficult doctrine. But remember, your current position is REFUTED by 1 John 1:8 and by a TON of other Scriptures (like Rom 7) which teach that our FLESH continues to sin until we die... or are "changed" at the Seventh Trumpet. ------------------------------------------------------------ BTW... I really do appreciate your comment because there are FEW who carefully read 1 John. But your misunderstanding has been discussed by the saints (wheat/sheep) for almost 2000 years. I think the person asking the question was trying to differentiate between Christians and non-Christians but I agree that it doesn't make much difference.
The statement that 'the Christian heart is wicked and deceitful' is false. If the statement says, 'A Man's heart is wicked and deceitful', then it is acceptable and true. One came from the bible, but the other came fro Satan.
Because we as Christians believe you receive a "new heart" when you put faith in Jesus and the scripture about man's heart being wicked can be assumed to be referring to the hearts condition before faith. Some preachers don't expound on that and leave the impression that your heart is still wicked even after faith. That's why the question is directed at "the Christian heart"
Man was born in sin . Jesus Christ came to die for the world. He took all our sins to the cross. Now those who believe in Jesus and what he has done is forgiven. Bottom line is that everyone has to have a personal relationship with the Father and His son. It's every individual 's will to want to have a relationship with our Savior and LORD. I personally have a relationship with Him. Be Blessed 💞
Angela.... First, Jesus did not come to die "for the world"... if you mean everyone who was ever born. Jesus did come to die for the "world" meaning BOTH the Jew and Gentile. This is the most dangerous verse in the Bible. Stop throwing the book at us. Look who wrote it. And re wrote it, and revised it etc. it’s all apart of the conditioning. It’s meant to be confusing. They don’t want us, Gods true people to question anything. “Don’t listen to your heart. Let us tell you what your heart is saying.” God gave us our hearts and hearts contain neurons. My heart is not sick nor deceitful. My heart is apart of my God consciousness. Call to God and God will answer. Just listen. 🙏🏼
This is an important issue in bible study. And i find it hard to respect any teacher who does a partial job of it . . . such as this clip. A number of relevant bible verses have been omitted from consideration here. And i understand why the churches are deliberately putting a positive spin on simply " believing in Jesus to get saved." It's useful for catching new, naive, and possibly careless members for the congregation. Here's one passage i challenge you to argue away. Jesus spoke of judgement day when the LORD will say to those on his left hand . . . even though they did " Great works in His name. Depart from me ye workers of iniquity. I never knew you." Matthew 7:21-23. (translations will vary slightly) These clearly were " Christians " and possibly others who claimed to believe in one God. We should be amazed the LORD would say such a thing to those who worked in His name. Amazed and puzzled . . . UNLESS we do our bible homework diligently. If you keep searching the scriptures these apparent contradictions and puzzles will become clear . . . if you sincerely seek the LORD'S wisdom. Rather than simply accept mainstream church doctrine without question.
Caliban What people do is driven by two irrefutable premises, both of which, I believe, are inherent in the human creature. #1. We all want the same thing... soundness of mind. “Cursed are those who put their trust in humans”.
To Create a clean heart requires a purifying process.
what does this purifying process entail?
To Manny and Nicky:
The best I can understand is the purification process takes place when .......
Jesus says MT 16:24
Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.
So I don’t think we use our heart to purify our heart.
But John, you say this without even mentioning that our SOUL is translated from death into life when
we are "saved" or "sealed" or "born again" or "indwelt" or "regenerated"... you omit saying that
our BODY (which includes our sinful heart) are not made incorruptible until the resurrection.
THAT is a major omission.
@@3345646 ... John, the "purification" of our BODY (including our sinful heart)
does not occur until the resurrection when we receive our new spiritual and incorruptible body
(or the Last Saints are "changed" in the twinkling of a eye").

In Matt 13:38 the field in which the wheat and the tares grow is said to be 'the world', not the church.
You are absolutely right that we can discern the difference between children of Satan and children of God by their fruit (Matt 7:16-20).
Catfish.... often it is just a matter that people do not understand that when they are regenerated
(or born-again) it is ONLY their SOUL that is translated from death to life. That their FLESH was
never "born-again" and (as you said) wars against our soul daily.
------------------
Catfish... I agree what you say in the beginning (above) is Biblical. We do war with our flesh daily.
That is because when we are "saved" or "born again" or "indwelt" it is ONLY our SOUL that is
translated from death into life. We are stuck with this sinful body (including a sinful heart)
until the resurrection when we receive our new spiritual incorruptible body...
or, the Last Saints, are "changed" in a "twinkling of an eye".

Ezekiel 36:26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.

An art yup short and sweet
Good point
The short of the answer, as John Piper said, is pretty clear: the Christian's heart is being transformed into the likeness of Christ's.
To my understanding, in short, we're 'on the way', so to speak: until heaven, though, it won't be complete. Or, rather, He won't be done with transforming us into the likeness of His Son.
Every day we still will struggle with the old man.
So is the heart deceitful and desperately wicked?
On this side of the veil, for both Christian and non-Christian alike the answer is yes.
Guard your heart, and trust in God rather than leaning on your own understanding. (From Proverbs 3:5-6)
Note the verbage: "lean on." Don't make your last call be only the things you understand.

No because what you've jus said goes against what God said and what Jesus said.
Hear God's Word
Jesus has Saved and Freed me from Christians..they do indeed have wicked deceitful hearts. Jesus saved His people from wicked Pharisees in His Day and is saving His people ToDay from the wicked modernday Pharisees..the Christians.
I'll repeat what I stated above, which you've ignored. Your self-righteousness is a sign that you are disagreeing with Jesus' words and God's words.
If you seek first the kingdom of God that his RIGHTEOUSNESS is FREELY ADDED; that RIGHTEOUS adding can't be deceitful or the bitterness of the belly kicks in the RIGHTEOUS thought to conker the deceit. But if you believe your saved without seeking this to is correct for many are saved NAME SAKE ONLY. But can not ever enter the kingdom of God. for the deceit not to seek first the kingdom of HEAVEN you lost all hope for that RIGHTEOUSNESS to be FREELY ADDED upon you!!!!!!
Watering Fate... are you not aware that JESUS specifically NAMED four separate-and-distinct
"Kingdoms of Heaven" on earth?

@@wateringthefate3890 ... Child, so the ANSWER to my (only) question to you is NO..
you are NOT aware that JESUS specifically NAMED four (of the five) separate
"Kingdoms of Heaven" on earth.... AND you prefer to remain "willfully ignorant"
rather than LEARN something you don't know. You embarrass yourself.
-----------------
Just so you can stop PRETENDING you have some "righteous knowledge" or that you
have a good understanding of Scripture (which you clearly do not) this is what JESUS
said... if you DARE to believe Jesus.
---------------
In Mat 22:2 Jesus specifically NAMED the (2nd) Jewish "Kingdom of Heaven"
In Mat 13 (several verses) Jesus NAMED the (3rd) Christian "Kingdom of Heaven"
In Mat 25:1 Jesus specifically NAMED the (4th) Great Tribulation "Kingdom of Heaven"
And Jesus specifically NAMED the (5th) Eternal "Kingdom of Heaven" in Matthew
chapters 5 and 7 and 8 and 19
-------------------
The ONLY "Kingdom of Heaven" that Jesus did NOT specifically NAME is the
(1st) Pre-Flood "Kingdom" which contains all the saints from Adam to Noah
------------------
So child... clearly I understand MUCH more Scripture than you (ever will) and
for you to REJECT or intentionally IGNORE what Jesus specifically NAMED
only shows you produce the "fruit" of an unsaved "tare" because no REAL
saint (wheat/sheep) would intentionally ignore Biblical truth...
It is really as simple as that child.

No need to listen to false teachings that there are more than one Kingdom of Heaven. The Kingdom of Heaven is from eternity past to eternity future. It was on earth in Adam's time, but departed after Adam died and GOD took one man, Enoch with HIM. It was manifested on earth at the time CHRIST was on the earth. It will soon be back to earth when CHRIST will return the 2nd time.
You are absolutely right to hold on to Matt.6:33. Do not forget Matt.5:6
'Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after RIGHTEOUSNESS, for they shall be filled.' Matt.6:21-23 Be sure that you treasure the RIGHTEOUSNESS of GOD and set your eyes on it, then you shall be full of the LIGHT. Let no false teaching hinder you from being filled with the RIGHTEOUSNESS of GOD in CHRIST.

No because that scripture doesn't even say that in Jeremiah when you read the Septuagint translation.
You must learn the
difference between the SOUL and the BODY.
--------------------------------------
1Jn 3:6 Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him,
neither known him.
----------------------------------------
1Jn 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him:
and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
----------------------------------------
Now, the verse above says "whosoever is born of God"...
let me ask you a question child: When we are "born of God" or "born again"
or "regenerated" or "saved".... (wait for it....) WHAT is "born again"?
Is it our SOUL.... or is it our FLESH... or is it both? Read what John says:
-----------------------------------------
Joh 3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
------------------------------------------
Remember child, when we are "born again" God transfers our SOUL from death
to life. However, we still live in an unsaved BODY. We do not receive our spiritual
(and incorruptible) bodies until the resurrection.
------------------------------------------
1Co 15:50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God;
neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
------------------------------------------
So, in order to understand 1 John you must FIRST understand the DIFFERENCE
between our SOUL and our FLESH. Because only ONE of them is "born again".
That is WHY you see what appears to be a contradiction to your "theory" in
the verses below (also written by John)
----------------------------------------------
1Jn 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
----------------------------------------
1Jn_2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin,
we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
-------------------------------------------
And this is why [in Romans] Paul agonizes about how he cannot eliminate all sin
because he is still in the flesh - and the flesh (not the soul) continues to sin.
------------------------------------------------
Rom_7:15 For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not;
but what I hate, that do I.
16 If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law
that it is good. 19 For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.
20 Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
-----------------------------------------------------
In 1 John the Apostle makes the DISTINCTION between the SOUL which is reborn and
does not sin (the verses you offered) and the FLESH which is NOT reborn and which
continues to sin (1Jn 1:8 and 1Jn 2:1)
------------------------------------------------------
If you say that you (both body and soul) DO NOT SIN then 1Jn 1:8 says you are a liar.
It is ONLY by understanding the difference between a "born again" SOUL and
the "sin nature" FLESH that we can understand 1 John.
------------------------------------------------------
But you already KNOW that you sin daily.
That is not "news" to you. The Apostle John is only saying (as did Paul in Rom 7)
that it is your sinful FLESH (which was never "born again") that sins even when you
(your SOUL) does not want to sin.
--------------------------------------------------------
I hope this helps you to understand what is a difficult doctrine.
But remember, your current position is REFUTED by 1 John 1:8 and by
a TON of other Scriptures (like Rom 7) which teach that our FLESH continues
to sin until we die... or are "changed" at the Seventh Trumpet.
------------------------------------------------------------
BTW... I really do appreciate your comment because there are FEW who carefully read
1 John. But your misunderstanding has been discussed by the saints (wheat/sheep)
for almost 2000 years. And no man can honestly say they do not sin daily... what
they CAN honestly say is it's their FLESH (not their SOUL) that sin's daily.
-------------------------------------------------------------
@@wisevirgin3405 thanks, but God Himself has revealed the truth for Me...I know my bible very well...but more importantly, I know the living Word more than I know the written word...He is my teacher...1 Jn 1:8-9 is written to the unbeliever, its not relevant for Me anymore because Im now a believer. In faith I believe my flesh is dead.
@@brendonburdett7015 ... of course that is what ALL unsaved "tares" say child.
I have already PROVIDED you with several SCRIPTURES that contradict
what you are preaching. You did not RESPOND to those Scriptures,
instead, you did what ALL false teachers do... you simply IGNORE
the Scriptures that contradict your false doctrine. Nothing new here.
----------------------
So, you are showing by your "fruit" that you are only PRETENDING when you say
that God is your teacher.... because God does NOT intentionally IGNORE all of the
Scriptures that contradict your doctrine. You insult GOD when you pretend otherwise.
-----------------------
This is very EASY child. For almost 2000 years THIS is how it has been done:
(1) The preacher preaches his doctrine.
(2) The hearer then offers SCRIPTURE that contradicts that doctrine.
-------------------------
When people say (like you do) that "God is my teacher"... that is the "fruit"
of someone who cannot support their doctrine with SCRIPTURE so, instead,
they (meaning YOU) just PRETEND they are above harmonizing Scripture.
You embarrass yourself child.
------------------------
Again... you are only showing the "fruit" of an unsaved "tare".
No REAL SAINT (wheat/sheep) would refuse to use SCRIPTURE to support
their doctrine. The "fruit" or real Saints is to compare Scripture with Scripture...
why is this "news" to you child?
--------------------
I suggest that you pretend just as HARD as you can child. Because very soon
the Lord will appear and then your pretending will STOP and you will hear the
Lord tell you.... "depart from Me, I never knew you".
Good luck with that child.
------------------------
Why necessarily a "Christian" heart? I would rather it just be a "man's" heart instead.
I think the person asking the question was trying to differentiate between Christians and non-Christians but I agree that it doesn't make much difference.
Because the question was specifically about the heart of Christians.
How do you define heart? It seems vague and open to interpretation.
Angela.... First, Jesus did not come to die "for the world"... if you mean everyone who
was ever born. Jesus did come to die for the "world" meaning BOTH the Jew and Gentile.
Remember, before Jesus came God was ONLY saving Jews (not Gentiles). There is a clear
CONTEXT to the term "the world". And context means everything.
------------------------
@@wisevirgin3405
Stop peddling your false teaching.
Angela is correct to say JESUS came to die for everyone. Rom.14:7-9
If JESUS did not die for everyone, HE cannot become the LORD of all men. Take your false theology to somewhere else.
So Jesus didn't come to die for the world because he came to die for the world. Thanks. For. That. Unwise virgin it's not about context it's about understanding the meaning of the world as used in other texts in the Bible...which is different to what you're claiming. I'd have to agree with Ng David.
@@HearGodsWord ... I feel sorry for you child. How can you NOT KNOW
some of the most basic and essential elements of the Scriptures?
--------------------
Jesus did come to die for the "world" child... I never disputed that and you PRETENDING

proven something. Child, building a strawman only "proves" (a) you are less than honest
and willing to be deceitful or (b) you are profoundly ignorant of the truth or (c) both.
---------------------
Jesus came to die for the "world"... meaning BOTH the Jew and the Gentile.
Remember child... before Jesus came God was ONLY saving Jews.
Are you able to see the CONTEXT now child?

Jesus did not come to die for every man ever born... that is ridiculous.
Jesus said that some men are "children of Satan" (He did not Atone for them)
The Bible says that some men are CREATED to be "vessels of destruction"

For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved." Not something to be arguing in the comments about
This is the most dangerous verse in the Bible.
These is no reason to think people are inherently wicked or bad. Human immorality is a reflection what people do, not some ontological value.
Caliban
What people do is driven by two irrefutable premises, both of which, I believe, are inherent in the human creature.
#1. We all want the same thing... soundness of mind. One that is not moved by the whims of men or the eventualities of life.
#2. Our minds and bodies are not designed to absorb the effects of condemnation/accusation from any source.
I’ll leave it to you to decide if these are inherent or learned.....or both.
@@mr.c2485 1. I don't have any idea of what you mean by soundness of mind. Maybe I would disagree--maybe not. What does that mean?
2. Again, what do you mean by absorb and condemnation. You are being so vague with your language that it could go one hundred different directions. People can handle being condemned quite well usually. Your definitions matter. Imprecise language is unhelpful; clarity is important.
A mind that is easily offended is not sound. Condemnation/accusation can take many forms, but defensive thoughts and actions are inevitable.
