Kane doing lob is like John McEnroe doing lob serves. Their serve is 75% of their game!!!! He did not face the same Kane that Moscoso did so that's an unfair comparison. That being said, Jake is moving and playing FANTASTIC! It has been such a treat to watch him climb to the next level. Getting more balls, making better shots. It's really awesome to see an AMERICAN player holding his own on the circuit - hey I cheer for the home team ;)
1:14:35 Jake shows why he's so tough. Kane hits a perfect down-the-line from deep but Jake with the incredible reach steps out and splats a kill shot off the side wall. Whats incredible is Jake was serving from the far left on this rally, making the shot look so easy. Also Kane can hit pretty hard which makes this reach even more impressive. Most pro-racquetball players don't have Jake's combination of height--speed-athleticism-power. I remember Chris Crowther and Big Derrick Robinson but while super tall & powerful didn't move like Jake. Dude is a beast!
Put some respect on kane’s name. Y’all delusional in the comments that boy smoking these young boys on the court. He just got back in the game after a injury with 3 weeks of practice and put bredenbeck to WORK. He wasn’t cocky or anything he was REAL. He said bredenbeck got more consistent and upped his game, which is true. But he KNOWS he’s still the champ and can crush any of these guys! He’s gonna go in the lab and come out a dog once again… all hail king kane
At the end, it would have been nice for Kane to simply say Bredenbeck outplayed me and congratulations but all he did was talk about and make excuses for why he lost. Everyone knows you were an amazing player but now it is time to pass the torch with grace.....
Really? I thought Kane gave props to Jake in so many words. I liked that he was pretty honest about his lack of endurance. I wouldn't be so quick to say he needs to pass the torch. He might have 1-2 more US open championships wins in him. Lets see how he does in the next December tournament at Pleasanton CA.
I guess it is all in how we interpret the interview. Don't get me wrong I think he has been a great ambassador to the sport. However he does is CA, it is always good for the fans of RB to see him as the sport seems to be dying.
1:25:21 that's not really an avoidable, should just be called a safety hinder if Kane doesn't feel comfortable swinging and wants to hold up (Kane does have the right to hold up here). Slow-mo show's Kane had enough room to swing fully...by time gets to Kane's hitting zone, Jake's actually behind Kane by then, and just far enough to the left that there's no way Kane's gonna hit him with the racquet, and he's clearly not blocking his view of the ball or taking away a shot. There's no follow-through issues either so I don't think it's correct to give Kane an automatic side-out avoidable call. And also the IRT should encourage it's players to try to play through tight situations like this (if possible without injury) to make longer rallies & thus a more exciting match for the viewer. Just my .02
1:07:24 this serve by Jake is so stupid, lol, but if it tricks Kane it can't be bad. The way you have to chase the ball down on that serve makes it difficult -- you have to get out of your own way to hit it.
Kane looked gassed out there and that dead Gearbox ball does not help.

Wow. Da King is hurting.
He is still the best ever
By a mile
I don't think anyone who understands RB would dispute that.

Great match.
Kane is the GOAT. He has nothing to prove
I was surprised by this. Thought Kane was gonna win it all with ease as usual. But this is not Jake's first ever success against him.
