@@thescoop50there only issue is you won’t be able to find or read it bc the cases are listed in subscription services like Westlaw , Lexi’s which are very expensive that lawyers pay for. Very few are public
I like to know about injuries involving surgeries my accident happened almost 6 years ago I’ve had 4 surgeries all related to my accident in my case the body part was my primary arm and hand plus numerous procedures I also was diagnosed with a nerve disease CRPS my question is does that raise the value of the case

It’s still in litigation once a lawsuit is filed the parties are litigating. This is both before and after depositions which is just one part of the overall process. Litigation ends with a settlement or judgment.
went to a restaurant and sat outside on the back patio. When I sat down the front left leg of the chair collapsed and I landed on my right shoulder. I was with a girlfriend trying to have dinner and she saw it happen. Had a MRI done and discovered I have a permanent herniated disc and right shoulder laberal tear. Just completed laberal tear surgery last wieek. Have done 2 steroid injections for back and pain still is there. Will be doing a Rhizotomy once I'm out of my sling. The same girl who I was with at the time I fell back in December took her friend to the same place a few weeks ago and believe it or not she fell with a collapsed chair as well!! I'm assuming this will help my case? Found representation and just recently filed a lawsuit against said restaurant. Discovered that their insurance policy covers up tp $1 million. Do you think they will settle or drag me to court? If so how long do you think a court case like that would take? Told my lawyer If I could walk away with $80-100k in my pocket (his fee's and medical included and deducted) I would be happy. Think that's a fair expectation?

I’ve had a case since 2020 in South Carolina. My railing at my apartment broke due to it being extremely lose after it was taken apart to bring appliances up the steps by contractors working for my apartment. As I was going down the stairs I touched the railing and it broke and I dropped about 6 feet and had back pain, leg pain, neck pain and a hematoma for around 6 months. It took until 2023 due to my original lawyer dragging his feet for a deposition to take place. The deposition took place in May of 2023 and during the deposition I was asked if I had ever posed on top of the railing and I said no because I never did pose on top of that particular railing. Apparently it was a trick question and the attorney was really asking if I had ever posed for pictures on top of any railing or ever posed near any railing ever. My original attorney demanded 100,000 and now after the deposition but before the mediation they want to only offer me 7,500 and there are three defendants including my apartment involved.. My attorney (who replaced my original one) is convinced if we go to trial it will not go well for me and also that the most I could maybe get is like 12,000. That isn’t even enough to pay the medical bills I have although it was covered by insurance I technically will need to settle with medicaid (I have state insurance). If I receive a settlement. Somehow I think my attorney gave up the case pretty quickly because of pictures they have where I am near the railing that broke and a picture where I am leaning on a different railing. These pictures are all nowhere near the time of the accident but he says that doesn’t matter. I feel like I should get more especially since some major companies are involved but I am not an attorney so I am not positive. What do you think?

So I have a few questions about my case:
Background information:
In 2020 I was in a car accident where an F550 ford truck had run a stop sign and T.bowed my door. I suffered through some herniated and bulging discs. After months of PT and Injections that did not help. I had just gone through spinal fusion surgery (TLIF).
The guy who hit me pleaded guilty to careless driving. After pleading guilty he had passed away.
Questions:
Does my lawsuit change because the person is no longer living?
I was 21 years old when I was in the accident, does my age have a factor in my case and if so would my age being so young help or hurt my case?
I have depositions coming up next week, this has been an ongoing case since Jan 2020. Now I am finally in the deposition stage. How much longer until a settlement is made?
Can I expect over 6 figure settlement?
