    Cibaeños or Northern, Northwestern Dominicans are known to add a “I or Y” sound when they speak. This is because the Portuguese who arrived on the island could not pronounce the Castellano dialect of Spanish.

      No lol Portuguese sound nothing like that, Eastern Cuba (afro-cubans) also does the same, as well as Afro Colombians (certain communities), the Bozol Spanish of Afro Mexicans also did the same thing, in other words, it was a BLACK thing that enslaved blacks that were captured by the Portuguese would do, probably to mimic their way of speaking

      @@AnthonyDRLopez Um, they could speak Spanish, just like I can speak Spanish, or what I call Portañol.lol Can you speak any of the languages? Do you realize how close they are? To be honest more Portuguese can speak Spanish than Spanish can speak Portuguese. My uncle Joāo could speak Spanish, but he wouldn’t. He said if I can understand them, they should be able to understand us. I’m sure there’s a lot of Spanish that could speak Portuguese, but they choose not to. A lot of them act like it’s below them for some reason to do so. I don’t care though. If I see a Spanish person having a difficult time, I help them out. Scientifically by DNA, they’re like our cousins. So not knowing how to pronounce things in Spanish is a huge amount of BS. Spanish is way easier than Portuguese to speak anyways.

    • @philipponte5643
      @philipponte5643 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Now Brazilian Portuguese is harder for the Portuguese to understand or pronounce, but again, we can understand them better than they can understand us. It’s like a slap in the face. They changed the language so much. It’s like what the F happened? They got this Gee and cha sound that makes me think it came from the Italians. It’s like you took a bunch of different languages and added it to Portuguese.

    The descendants of King David and the Prophet Mohammed went to live in Spain.

      If you have Spanish ancestry, that will come as "Spain" in you ancestry test, not as "Moor". If you have "Moor" ancestry it will come as "North African". Hebrew will come as "middle east" or "Sephardic Jew". NEVER as "Hispanic", hispanica doesn't exist in terms of DNA, its an US invention (originally wasn't supposed to designate a race, but a culture).

There are Sephardic Jews today, most of them live in Israel, they migrated mostly from north africa and the balkans. They're not too different from Arabs, or even southern Europeans. And I wonder where you took this information that sephardic Jews were related to jews from India. The Sephardic community stablished itself in iberia during the Roman Empire. And most Portuguese Jews can be traced back to Spain after they were expelled. I'm curious to see your sources

    Darkskin doesn't equal black ,dravidians and melanesians are darskin.
    Black means pale and waning , voidless of color.
    The word 'Black' can be traced back to its proto Indo-European origins through the word 'blac' which meant pale, wan, colourless, or albino. 'Blac' was incorporated into Old French as Blanc, Italian and Spanish as Blanco, Bianca, Bianco, Bianchi.
    All humans have a darkskin or brownskin human ancestor of origin
    Thanks for the info though appreciate it!

    • @VitorEmanuelOliver
      @VitorEmanuelOliver 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That's because the word black comes from an indo European word that is associated with fire (bhleg). Some cultures later associated it to the light, and other associated it to the ashes and charcoal, which are dark. It's not correct, though, to equate black in the English language to "devoid of color, pale". The word p*ta, with a U instead of the *, used to mean a girl or lady in archaic forms of Spanish and Portuguese. But don't try to call a lady using that word today, the meaning has changed completely.

    Portuguese hardly immigrated to the Caribbean islands, there are numerous census done in your country as well as the ships that registered the immigrants that were coming from Europe, not sure why you havent bothered looking at those as a reliable source lol that Portuguese blood you are scoring is simply GALICIAN ancestry which Galician immigrants were very numerous in the Caribbean as well as in Argentina and Uruguay, Galicians on those genetic companies tend to score higher Portuguese than Spanish. So no, its not necessarily Portuguese but in fact Galician roots. The only countries that had real Portuguese immigrants were Mexico, Brazil and Peru. There are records, census and even genetic companies that have talked about it (23andme, AncestryDNA, FTDNA etc).

      @@Mr.BeefwithChixken there isn't any difference, this is why Genetic companies tend to group them together, just look at 23andme, and before AncestryDNA did an update, they also had both nations as Iberians. If you look up dna results of Spaniards from Galicia, Asturias and those Northeastern areas, you'll see them score a lot of Portuguese ancestry, many times higher than the Spanish one. The ones in Southern Spain score very high Spanish and some Portuguese and Italian. Basques are normally the ones who score 100% Spanish or Iberian. I can give you a site where you can see Spanish results from various areas of Spain, and then I can send you the type of immigrants of Spain that mostly settled in the Caribbean, when you see those dna results and those settlers, you'll see why some Caribbeans score high Portuguese, it has nothing to do with actual Portuguese ancestry at all. I guess some people wanna make themselves seem unique and exotic for Hispanic standards.

After the so called Iberian union that lasted for more than 60 years. This spanish take over was due to the fact that after the young (and foolish) Portuguese King died in the battle of alcahser Quibir against a bigger army of moors and ottomans allowing King Felipe of Spain to claim the Portuguese crown. Not really, those were recent Jews, the sephardic Jews referred in the video were on the island since the days of Columbus. Two totally different kinds of Jews from different time periods.

      Nope. We are a new people made of various influences. It will take more time to us fuse them all but we stand steady for our culture. I'm Brazilian btw... but if you have 16 origins, yes, indeed, so you have to pick the most important ones...
