As a norwegian i question the valitidy of the "Want to move to" map. Almost everyone I've ever spoken to has expressed absolute joy that they don't live in the U.S.A. EDIT - I do realize now that most Norwegians I speak to are the ones who wouldn't move, so....
The ones who move to America are Software Engineers and Programmers. Those always go to America no matter what. As they'll earn enough to pay the ABSURD Medical bills there.
I bet the "where do people want to move to" for Sweden and Finland wanting to move to Spain is for retirement purposes or even buying a vacation home there.
Yes, it's mostly old people wanting to move to Spain. When they were young, Spain was probably the first non-Nordic country they had been to. Going to Spain on holiday was extremely popular in the 1960s and early 70s.
As an Englishman my favourite countries are Australia and New Zealand due to cricket and rugby but the Republic of Ireland is a great country where you randomly end up drinking beers with. 👍
Us portuguese like to go to the Netherlands to experience how developed they are, they're attractive, weirdly flat terrain and you can just don't even bother with bs if you wanna be a bit cheeky either in coffee shops or red light district. I mean... as I am describing I realize once again how odd and marvelous it is.
With which country do the citizens of a specific country like the most. For Czechia it’s definitely Slovakia. We literally have a man holding up a sign with “We love Slovakia” in a textbook. At this point I’ve heard so many people say how amazing and beautiful Slovakia is I’m baffled why they haven’t moved there yet. (Austria, Germany and Switzerland are also very high on the list, mainly for jobs and money tho.)
Imagine Spain being actually rich, with low unemployment rates and higher salaries... we would own the world. But, it still is a nice place to live and travel :)
As a Ukrainian, I can tell that we googled Russia not because we like it lol :D And same for living - it's pretty typical postcolonial relationship with territorial center-based empires (like Ottomans, Moscow, etc. - the ones that continuously expanded from their centers.). Nations Russia conquered in 18-19-20 century were heavily russified (meaning they were dissolved in indescribable Russian culture) by various methods but for this case most important one is moving Russians to this territories and moving representatives of russified nations out. Therefore, you have many Russians living in those countries and many representatives of those countries living in Russia. Ukraine is probably the biggest country on Russia's list of targets and has been Russian top-1 priority for a few centuries so there you have a lot of Ukrainians living in Russia - and it's just happy coincidence that they still identify themselves as Ukrainians. It is not cultural ties nor love for the empire. At least, not something historically natural. Although if the process of russification ended a few centuries ago, it may start to seem to be "historically natural" - like those many ancient peoples absorbed by empires long enough time ago. You can even still see the same thing with Turkey and Bulgaria/Macedonia. Even tho their turkification ended more than 100 years ago. I'm sorry if my terminology isn't very clear because I studied this subject in French initially.
You're actually able to explain yourself very well, I was surprised by how good your English is. As for what you described, that's what I expected, to be honest. Subjugation of local culture is sadly what plagued the majority of Post-Soviet countries, and especially Ukraine. I remember when people just called it a smaller version of Russia, even after the initial annexation of Crimea. To me, that was always unsettling considering that Ukrainians do claim to be culturally distinct. When I started looking into Ukrainian culture I realized that the difference between Ukraine and Russia is actually a lot greater than people realize. I'm rooting for your country, and the preservation of your culture. The Russian invasion has proven that you Ukrainians are a strong and courageous society. Sending weapons to brave men and women fighting for the nation is - as Zelenskyy said - an investment for peace. You are a strong group of people and I admire you very much. Слава Україні. 🇳🇱❤🇺🇦

@@YaPinGYouTu Our country has generally been very tolerant towards foreign citizens, and especially Ukrainians, considering the unjustifiable brutality of Russia's full-scale invasion. Whenever I hear any Ukrainian or Russian, I immediately say "Слава Україні", even to a random passerby. So far, I have not encountered anyone in the street who supports the invasion, and the only response I got was "Героям Слава", and I always smile in return. I find the entire “Portuguese wanting to move to the Netherlands” supremely weird. There’s a a bit of language barrier there, we’re extremely fluent in English (my generation, at least), and while Dutch is not thaaat differently and being fluent in English definitely helps as a starting point, there’s also a crap ton of Portuguese people living in London and the rest of the UK, so I would expect it would be our top choice still. The uk is a terrible place to move to, bad weather, under paid jobs and over priced property. We don’t even have Queen Elizabeth II anymore. Massive respect for Japan and St Lucia, I hope we offer good services for people that change their minds haha
As a person who was born in the Republic of California, the countries I'm most likely to move to are Nevada or Oregon. But I really like my country anyway. Haha
In France I get ads for Canadian study programs. On tv you see ads about other countries but they are more straightforward about it, "come to marocco its magical, look at this woman in the snow (we are not contractually obligated to provide you with snow) "
Ukraine should have Polish flag. I live in medium city with around 140k people here, and there are so, so, so many Ukrainians now here! They were coming here even before war because we had lot of jobs in automotive sector, but now it's not only men or some young women, but the whole families.

Canadians advertise moving there in Mexico. Mexicans google moving to Canada. If both were serious, they'd make it happen -- transport people from the US/Mexico border into Canada -- but they don't.
It's kinda like the Danes moving to Sweden - people commute over the bridge to work in Copenhagen, so Danes will move to Sweden because it's so much cheaper. The cost of living in Sweden is about *25%* lower than DK and the rents in Copenhagen are the highest in the country but the Swedish side, 5 miles away, has a 28% lower [average] housing cost compared to DK. We don't need a passport to for the trip, so it's like living in Essex and working in Kent but saving nearly 1/3 (if they were living in Copenhagen as opposed to the 1/4 if they lived in the rest of DK) of the cost of living by doing so - kind of a common sense to move. Edit: Also think the Faroe Islands is mostly a logical thing - they're part of the Danish Kingdom and there's 1 University there with 5 faculties and little chance of work experience in a variety of sectors. Think Shetlands in the UK - kinda makes sense that they'd move to England or Scotland to further their careers..
There's also a smaller section of Danes who have spouses or partners that come from other countries and find it much easier to navigate the Swedish immigration system than the Danish one, so they just move to Malmö and work and visit their families in Denmark.
The map without a key is where more people speak Spanish at home than English, or also where more people speak a non-english language at home than English.
It’s not that relevant anymore, but for here in Poland “temporarily” moving to Germany or the UK was very common to get money, even without education, the pay was just so much better that you could work customer service for a couple months there and live off just bread with butter and then return and be somewhat rich
If there were Google street views of Canadian cities in the winter you'd just get piles of snow ploughed off to the side, creating a sad sad viewing experience. If you don't like the snow, but wanna move to Canada, there is very limited choice, Vancouver/west coast would be your only option.

In basketball, however, there's is an Israeli team that is the third best in the history of the Euroleague after CSKA Moscow and FC Barcelona. Which did beat German teams

Is this stat post-Brexit? 🤔
Canada definitely advertises moving there hard. I don't see a lot of ads, but one place I do see them, instagram has tons for Canada.
I'm glad you acknowledged the suit
The uk is a terrible place to move to, bad weather, under paid jobs and over priced property. We don’t even have Queen Elizabeth II anymore. Massive respect for Japan and St Lucia, I hope we offer good services for people that change their minds haha
So true
As a person who was born in the Republic of California, the countries I'm most likely to move to are Nevada or Oregon. But I really like my country anyway. Haha
Nevada or even Oregon aren't considered countries, they are states.
In France I get ads for Canadian study programs. On tv you see ads about other countries but they are more straightforward about it, "come to marocco its magical, look at this woman in the snow (we are not contractually obligated to provide you with snow) "
You did actually mention being part srilankan before in a video.
Ukraine should have Polish flag. I live in medium city with around 140k people here, and there are so, so, so many Ukrainians now here! They were coming here even before war because we had lot of jobs in automotive sector, but now it's not only men or some young women, but the whole families.
You know guys Russia and turkey are traditional Eastern European rivals their rivaly is old but now both ruled by dictators and Now both sometimes cooperative but sometimes enemies their rivaly continues in Syria but they both were always neutral against each others .I recently learn about these rivals just search Russo Turkish wars oh my goodness 😂 they fought twelve separate wars with each other
as a russian I can say that russians love Turkey and our government has a positive attitude towards this country, a lot of income from tourism in Turkey comes from Russia + as far as I know, Russian-Turkish couples are not uncommon
the mystery map is probably a map of counties with a majority of spanish speakers
You should collaborate with Drew Dernil
I am a North Carolina boy so I guess I do nt count in this demographic however shout out to a country and society I adore. Viva Espana por siempre!! And send some love also to England as well. Hugs to Europe from a North Carolinian!!!
6:29 those are hispanic majority counties
ToyCat wearing a suit? 😮
Canadians advertise moving there in Mexico.
Mexicans google moving to Canada.
If both were serious, they'd make it happen -- transport people from the US/Mexico border into Canada -- but they don't.
I’d be for that. Also deport Mexicans from the US into Canada too.
Correct, they fly direct bypassing the US altogether.
The suit
@@rasmusn.e.m1064 Ah yes, me in my bubble - as someone who's lived most his life in England, should have considered that a little more. Fair point.
The map without a key is where more people speak Spanish at home than English, or also where more people speak a non-english language at home than English.
i live in malta and there are no australins here. loads of british and irish but no ozzies at all. the map is wrong.
"I will not use the money to improve this channel in any way" lol love his honesty
Maybe soon we'll be saying "wish we were in Canada - they still have snow in places".
8:32 for UK, i thought Australia would be more popular ?
I definitely would like to move to Canada
I clicked on the video, started a game, glanced down and smiled at your clothes. Then I finished the game, typed this comment, and thought “actually, I think I’d want people to have the same reaction to me in a fancy outfit.” In a good way though
The Americans in Germany are soldiers stationed there; shouldn't really count I don't think because they don't really live abroad. They live on the soil but are there briefly and their lives centre around the bases. Oh, and I'm awaiting Mr Farage's wailing against the influx of Japanese and St Lucians
6:26 counties in the us with a spanish speaking majority
Very sus story about that Italian friend there
Canada advertised itself by showing videos of Low Newton by the sea in England. This explains why everyone wants to move there.
I'd like to see this survey done on the migrants in Calais!
Even though it's a fact that Finland has the prettiest women, people did not select Finland not because they think it's not, but because they've never seen a Finnish girl. It's a hidden gem, kinda like irish girls.
Edit: also the men are handsome there, I just misunderstood the question as specifically women.
My guy, most Finnish ppl look like they are borderline Downs.
Your prime minister is Fit as f*ck (sexy)
Irish women are NOT a hidden gem. You are smoking crack. Swedish women > finnish women
any women > irish women
I live in ireland and I heavily disagree that irish women are "a hidden gem"
@@gstrdms that's just... racist.
France and Ireland are no longer fans of Spain?? Hmm, well I guess it's a new development
Im Serbs from Serbia, i can confirm data for Serbia. My vilage is full of people who lives and works in Austria. This is the case with the most vilages and smaller towns in Serbia. Actually, we have bigger diaspora in Germany but Austria is no1 destination in latest 30 years. Italy no2, Switzerland no3., Sweden no.4, Germany no. 4. It is data for latest 30 years. Data for period before will be different, Germany will be faraway no.1, USA no. 2.
I love your videos from Malta
Asking an Egyptian: where do you want to go? Egyptian says "Oh, Man...."
That mystery map could be counties that are at least 2/3 Latino or perhaps places where over 50% of people speak Spanish.
We speak English in America.
@@anonymoususer8895...you realize that a country's official language isn't the only one that can be spoken there, right?
@@snugget23452 Yeah it is. Otherwise it wouldn’t be an official language.
@@anonymoususer8895 yeah, you're right. people who dare to speak Spanish in AMERICA🦅🦅🦅are sent right back over the border.
13:37 first of all, nice
second, I've seen a map like that before and I could have sworn it's spanish-language majority counties in the US. Or possibly just all non-english. But that explains why it's clustered around the border
I want to see that map for US states and who they [edit: have rivalries with :D]. I can guarantee for Michigan it's Ohio, and can partially guarantee the reverse is also true.
No we speak English in America.
@@anonymoususer8895 ok
@@oteragard8077 Glad you agree!
@@anonymoususer8895 de hecho hablamos mayormente español en America por unos, no se, ~100 millones, pero discutimos otra cosa
There's probably a difference between countries people want to holiday in, work in or live in.

I don't think the Germans are very excited when they beat Israel in football.
This is one of the best football teams in the world against a trash team.
Israel never won Germany in football and probably never will.
In basketball, however, there's is an Israeli team that is the third best in the history of the Euroleague after CSKA Moscow and FC Barcelona. Which did beat German teams
Yeah the countries Google "Does anyone in German government started to grow a fancy moustache"
Very formal look for Toycat, hm....
I am Croat and I prefer Austria over Germany, but I like them both.
Understandable!
Hi Croat I'm dad
@@appa609 hello dad 🗿
Damn, toycat lookin snazzy
The map is clearly about counties with Spanish speaking majority.
No entiendo
I think the moving to Russia for the likes of Ukraine and Estonia etc they have a lot of ethnic Russians there so makes sense, the rest of the population probably are much less friendly towards Russia especially now.
why is your head perfectly flat?
I'm Finnish but I LOVE Italy above all. Spain is just annoying in my opinion.
Yes don’t come to Spain please
¿En qué sentido lo es?, xd
Finland is like Sweden... but with collective Asperger.
As a Canadian, I have to slightly disagree with the "Least favourite province" data. I agree that Ontario has a historic dislike of Quebec but in reality Alberta seems the most gernally disliked in my experience (as a city dweller at least) and the majority of northern Ontario and many of my friends/coworkers have Quebequois heritage.
Loved the vid. but made me feel old! You speak so fast. tired me out!! But i'm old. Keep up the good work.
like how you complain about maps without keys, then proceed to cover the map with your camera
