Probably to cut costs. It’s harder to put them into the headband when manufacturing them. They fixed them with the Skullcandy Crusher 360 and Skullcandy Crusher ANC though.
I own this now and these are absolute gem to listen to. So much bass yet so much clarity.. Music is amazing and movies are heavenly on this one and built like a tank as well.. Love these.. Absolutely perfect pair of headphones ever.. Whoever is still in doubt, Go ahead and get yourself one from Skullcandy store or website only..

thanks, I was just wondering about that because i game on my ps4 a lot and i tried to use the sony xb950bt with my controller but the bass boost would only turn on if they were in bluetooth mode with was a bummer
I'm getting a pair of these soon and I'm super excited to try out listening to Pentatonix because the bass singer in that group vibrated my ears on the Hesh 2 Wireless (Which arent even bass headphones). I also listen to a lot of mellow/Jazz songs and was scared that the bass would ruin the soft vocals. Thanks for the awesome review, I was skeptical but you sold me!
Thank you. At first I was getting the skullcandy riff but after I saw your review I changed my mind . I'm picking up my set today during my lunch break. I'm soooo excited . Btw there on sell at bestbuy for 124.99 just incase someone else wants to pick up

Great video! I loved my set of original Crushers, and the wireless pair impressed me even more. I'm glad you mentioned watching movies with these because that seems to be missing from everyone else's reviews about these headphones, and it's one of my favorite things about them! Cheers!
Saw these at Best Buy today for $99.99 from a regular price of $199.99 and I went home and googled reviews on them and found your review here Gamesky. Thanks to your review I decided to give these a try and drove back to Best Buy before they closed and bought them. I must say I'm truly blown away by the overall quality of these headphones. I've used my Bose QC20i for the past few years and I love them, but I wanted something wireless and wasn't ready to pay $349.99 for the QC35's so I was thrilled to see your review on the Crusher wireless headphones after seeing the $99.99 price point. These blow my QC20i headphones out of the water, the sound is amazing, granted these are over the ear compared to the in ear Q20i, but these crusher wireless honestly sound on par with the QC35's that I tried at Best Buy and feel just as comfortable. I feel like this might be the best $100 I've ever spent in my life, lol. Great VALUE here for sure, thanks for taking the time to do this review, it's much appreciated.
so glad you like thm. i thought at $200 these were a deal so at $99....it's a steal and you simply can't beat them for that price. i was amazed at the clarity these had on top of the bass these produce
IMPORTANT piece of info for those that buy/want to buy Skullcandy Crusher Wireless headphones. I'll try to keep this short. Between these and the Sony XB series I chose the Crusher because most if not every review said that the Sony's lose the extra bass when the battery runs out, the Crushers bass supposedly still works even tho the battery dies as the battery is only for bluetooth function. I bought them and loved them, I use them only for gaming and movies, and it FUCKING SHINES! A month and a half later the bass slider, no matter how high or low I put it doesn't change the bass. (Oh, I ONLY use them as a wired headset as bluetooth takes up a few megs and my laptop need all the mem it can use for gaming). Called the warranty dept and they asked me questions (about condition) and I asked them questions to try to troubleshoot first before sending them in. Nothing worked, sent them in, week later got BRAND NEW pair. Another month and a half goes by, still ONLY use as a wired headset and only for gaming and maybe a movie, and the same thing happens, slider doesn't work and bass level is fixed. I baby ALL my electronics but this pair I MADE DAMN SURE to handle with kid gloves, so what the hell was going on? I was pissed, thought maybe it's the battery but the previous conversation with the Skullcrusher guy, he was absolutely adamant that the battery is for the bluetooth function ONLY and also the wire that comes with the Crushers are a special 3.5mm jack that delivers power to the headset along with the sound signal, that's why they say to use THEIR wire jack and not some generic when used as a wired headset. Just for shits and giggles I charge them for a half hour and low and behold they fucking work. Not sure if certain devices need to be able to work with the wire to deliver the power with sound, as the wire is going to work or it's not, there is no middle ground, or if they (and others) were misinformed about not needing to be charged in order to use the extra bass function. So if you buy them and use them as a wired set and encounter the same problem, try charging them before blowing a gasket.
Keith Nitcher it’s meant to use wireless but Bluetooth will always get louder than wired so it might sound better wired than wireless I’m not sure I’m getting these eventually I have the hesh 3 wireless at the moment
These are WAAAAYYYYY better than the originals dude! For starters, these don't require a AA battery to operate. They recharge. Second, the mids and highs are significantly improved and sound incredible. And that bass...wow that bass. Explosive, to say the least. The only con to these that I can see is that they do not have bass if they are being used wired. That's because the battery is not used when it's wired, so the haptic feedback doesn't turn on either...But, with 40 hours of battery life, I doubt you'll ever need a wire, so you'll be fine.
Gamesky I just got mine earlier today and wow these things are amazing. I actually have the wired ones and loved those. Even though they were pretty flimsy, the bass is what sold me. After seeing your video on the wireless one, I just had to get them. Thanks for putting out a review on them. very happy with my purchase.
ok I have 1 last question. My battery has still not died yet, which is awesome. But I was wondering if you knew how long it takes to charge them. I tried to find info on this but couldn't find anything on the charging time. I just don't want to ruin them by over charging them.
Correction: You can navigate to previous song. Yes, You are correct about when we press and hold ( - ) key, the song currently playing is come to it's beginning. Now you just have to do is release the ( - ) key and press and hold it again real quick. Tada... Now you can enjoy the previous song.

Man I can not believe I missed this video earlier! Very excited to watch this video! Great video and happy with your result. Is the bass any different than the other skull crushers? Does it give any low bass frequency around the 30hz's? Also, any work about the VRA's?
Yeah, funny thing actually...I just tried using them wired again...it turns out, I didn't completely insert the jack into the headphones themselves lol. I'm about to take them to a real world test today. Hope I like them!
2:26 how long have you had your 360 afterglow controller? I have had 2 within 4 months break on me. Also, can you help me decide between the original crusher and the grind wireless
just got them!! by far the best wireless headphones ever created great review btw and just letting you know I didn't have a problem skipping backwards or forwards
funny question, does the bass from the sensation drivers kick in around 60 Hz like the original ones? did they improve the bass response in lower bass tones??
Awesome review man! Definitely gotta upgrade from my standard crushers. How would you compare these to the classic crushers in size though? They look like they're actually a bit smaller but I can't quite tell
If anyone is wondering if you should get the Crushers or Wireless Crusher. If you can budget or pay a little extra definitely go for the Crushers Wireless. Crusher Wireless gives you a new music experience. Battery life is amazing and comfortable and music is clear. You can compare with other bassy headphones but not what Skullcandy has brought out which is the feel of the bass. Both Crushers work fantastically however the Wireless version has been improved much more and I really dig it. I would definitely recommend these.
Nice video mate :-) Thinking of getting these for multi-purpose use. Gaming, music and movie watching. Have you paired them to a variety of devices, i.e.; Phone, Gaming PC, SmartTV? If so, did they pair without any issues? Cheers AussieStig
Just bought a pair earlier today. Coming from Beyerdynamic dt 770 studio, these headphones are sick. It feels like subwoofers in my car but right into my ears. The mids and highs sounds nice and crisp with no distortion. A must get!
There is one thing I need to know, I have the Hesh 2 wireless and I love how clean of a sound it gives. I saw that you did a review on those and I was wondering if the crushers had a similar (if not better) audio quality?
Wondering if it can be used for casual gaming, more for teamspeak i guess. Do i need to buy extra cables or something or the wires it provides can be plugged into the pc and all is good? Not sure if my question made sense.
Nice review man, gave me alot of info. Now I have the original crushers should i consider upgrading to the wireless? one of the key things for me is sound quality and comfort after a few hours, any thoughts as to what I should do?
First of all, I really like your reviews on headphones. You cover details that most headphone reviewers miss. I do have a question though. I've been searching around, looking for that all around over-the-ear wireless Bluetooth headphone that has great sound quality for music (I listen to every genre except country) and watching movies/TV shows, has really good bass, but bass that doesn't over power everything else, has a good battery life for Bluetooth, having the ability to use them wired once the battery is out of charge for extended use, and I'd also like them to be comfortable. I've narrowed it down to the Monster Elements and the Skullcandy Crusher Wireless, but I'm not entirely sure which one I want to choose. In your opinion, which do you prefer, and which one would you think I'd get more bang for my buck?
SaluteTheTruth thanks, personally I would say the Crusher Wireless and that is simply from the overall control over how much bass you want. you can dial it back to non existent if you want. they sound great on all the things you mentioned you would use them for and the 40hr battery life is insane. the Monster Elements are amazing but I would still go with the Skullcandy. I should have some new Sennheisers soon on the channel that meets those needs if I can get a hold of them.
First I was hoping to replace my Skullcandy Gaming Headset with the Crusher Wireless, but it doesn't seem to work for pc (maybe I'm doing something wrong). I mean I can hear something but the mic doesn't work. And for the phone (only tried plugged in by now, not Bluetooth) the sound leak is terrible and the bass is either not there or waayyy to high, but nothing in between. Any suggestions?
@Gamesky....I already own the Crossfade Wireless. Do you think it's worth it to sell the Crossfades and get these? I typically use my Crossfades for Jam Session listening on my iPhone and iPad, while Weight Lifting, and for Gaming on my Xbox One S and PS4. I listen to all types of music except for Country and Classical. Which has the overall better sound in your opinion? Which is better for my use cases? Also, if it helps, I also own the Sony MDR-1000X, and the Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 Wired for Office Use.
i would say since you already own the MDR-1000X and the Momentums you should definitely go with the Crushers because they will give you something completely different. It honestly makes music "fun" to listen to. Which is very beneficial while working out or just shuffling through your music. They are extremely comfortable and give off bass that no other headphone can. You also have the ability to adjust it to your liking as well (I stay at about 20-25%) They are amazing for games as well
does it have lithium battery??? how long does the battery last if you dont use them... should i charge them always before i get out with them so i have full battery time?
I was considering these or the Audio Technica ATH-M50x for music and gaming on my PC. Which one would you recommend? I need to get whichever will give me great bass and sound for both gaming and music. Advice is much appreciated, thanks :)
Cpt Kush Mush I would give the edge to the Crusher Wireless simply because the bass in games and music is amazing. It adds a whole other element in games
Cpt Kush Mush How are you going to compare monitoring headphones to headphone made just for fun? First off, The crushers dont have flat sound, but the ath150 are very flat and boring sounding in my opinion. Crushers for daaaaayyyyz compared the audio whatever.
Can these cans be plugged into a home theater receiver? I plan on using them while watching action movies late at night. Don't want to po my neighbors.
hey gamesky Im really wanting to get these I have the Sony mdrx950bt love the sound on those but for me they are uncomfortable on my head the plastic headband hurts my head and they seem heavy on my head are the crusher wireless more comfortable and are they light weight? does the wires on the sides rub against your head or ears? let me know something when get a chance Id really appreciate it man good review great channel man
depends on the size of your ears these did not get uncomfortable to me after wearing them for a few hours. maybe a little warm because these are closed back headphones
Got these for $100 on Best Buy. Also Gamesky do these headphones get uncomfortable after wearing them for long periods of time? My beats solo 2 do that and I hope these crushers don't.
Hey Gamesky, considering they retail for the same price, what are the best ones; these or the Sony 950bt? how do they compete with each other in the sound department, considering clarity and fidelity to the music? great video btw! eager for your opinion.
Sebastián Domínguez these are better overall, bass boosts higher and you have control over it. Treble and mids come thru really nice and never gets lost. the Sony's become bloated bass when you turn the bass boost on. definitely go with these
how much where these and are they in store yet???? i have been wondering if a pair of wireless akullcandy crushers were coming out thats cool that they made a pair.
Nice review! Mine will be here tomorrow! Looking forward to getting in the gym with them for my workouts! I have a pair of Jaybird X2 and sick of them falling out of my ears and the low battery life.
Gamesky I really want your opinion, should I go for the Bose QC35 wireless or the Skullcandy Crusher wireless. Just to note, I love bass and sound is something I'm not so picky with.
Gamesky That is definitely a no brainer, but what I really should be asking is that are they really that much better than the last ones? I've been using the regular Skullcandy Crusher for 2 and a half years now and I still adore them now. I just don't want to spend $200 on headphones that are just like the regular ones, but wireless.
I have a big concern about these headphones. It's about the Prop 65 sticker found on the crusher wireless concerning cancerous items or chemicals used in the product. I do know that its found in many products to food, furniture, and other electronics. But when you see this on a head phone, it usually means that the manufacturer went cheap on production(type of plastic[BPA], Memory foam chemical, etc.). Checked the Sony's, Senheissers, Beats and none of them carry the Prop 65 Sticker. I purchased these and loved them for what they offer(although disappointed that it doesn't support APTX Codec, just low complexity sub-banding SBC), but for the price range it's not excuse for them to cheap out on the codec. With everything I said in mind, I think I made my conclusion that these were made for uninformed 12 year olds that wouldn't care about anything I mentioned.
Zim Gir I tried them today at best buy and I liked the build quality. But if it use cancerous products that can be found in food then it's not gonna make a big difference anyway.
Does it come with bluetooth dongle or do i need to buy it separately? Also, can i use mic for pc gaming or is it for phonecalls only? Sorry about stupid questions...
Gamesky are you still enjoying the crushers, even if they don't support the latest aptx codec? I'm torn whether to keep them as I noticed the mids and highs sound just okay since they went cheap on the Bluetooth chip. I knew these headphones seemed too good, and finding out they don't support aptx disappoints me for the price point. Especially considering their are cheaper alternatives that support high res and aptx for about 50-80 dollars
hey man I'm really coming close to getting these headphones in your opinion would you chose these or the beats solo 3 wireless I tried the beats on in a store and really liked the sound I was really surprised apple has really improved the beats in sound quality , and how is the range on the crusher wireless? people say you can get to 100ft to 300 ft on the solo 3's I have the Sony mdrx950bts and the range on those are not that good in my opinion

I would recommend the Grind wireless.....they are great headphones
Dang, maybe I'm just rough on mine lol. Thanks!
Exxxtra Bass no problem
just got them!! by far the best wireless headphones ever created
great review btw and just letting you know I didn't have a problem skipping backwards or forwards
thanks, I have to say these are amazing and I have been very happy with them
Did you hear the weird beeping/tone during your phone calls? It's very high pitched and annoying. I also heard it when connected to video games.
funny question, does the bass from the sensation drivers kick in around 60 Hz like the original ones? did they improve the bass response in lower bass tones??
+Dub335 yeah, they seem to kick on about the same but bass is way more improved in these
i just tsted them at lower volumes and they definitely kick in sooner than the wired version did
Gamesky I can't wait to get mine
Gamesky simple question..
Great video man, I’m getting these in two weeks!
Are the headphones good for gaming? Especially the wireless part?
Thanks.
You can use these on pc with Bluetooth adapter but not made for gaming though
You can plug then in the controller
you actually can do a track back but there is like 3 second window in the beginning of the track that you have to hold the - button for like 1 second
You are able to track back a song. First you track back to the beginning of the song your listening to and immediately track back again
Awesome review man! Definitely gotta upgrade from my standard crushers. How would you compare these to the classic crushers in size though? They look like they're actually a bit smaller but I can't quite tell
Sam Harrington they don't stick out as much and they are more conformed to your head so they have a smaller profile but are much tougher
Oogle Mascot completely agree
The best headphone I've ever gotten worth the $300 in New Zealand Good job Skullcandy!!
That's too much price..
Beautiful review. Thank you.
Nice video mate :-) Thinking of getting these for multi-purpose use. Gaming, music and movie watching. Have you paired them to a variety of devices, i.e.; Phone, Gaming PC, SmartTV? If so, did they pair without any issues? Cheers AussieStig
yes and they are amazing for all of them....I couldn't be happier
Thanks for your reply mate. Cheers, AussieStig
how long they lasted before breaking honestly ? because im about to buy these and worried
These are very strong, you're good
Gamesky I hope that, thanks mate
Just bought a pair earlier today. Coming from Beyerdynamic dt 770 studio, these headphones are sick. It feels like subwoofers in my car but right into my ears. The mids and highs sounds nice and crisp with no distortion. A must get!
i completely agree. yes, it's nice to have headphones like the dt770 too but these are just amazing to listen to
There is one thing I need to know, I have the Hesh 2 wireless and I love how clean of a sound it gives. I saw that you did a review on those and I was wondering if the crushers had a similar (if not better) audio quality?
musicalnerd8301 yes if ur looking for something for better audio quality go with these I upgraded from the hesh 2 to hesh 3 and they sound better
Also if u want that vibrating bass go with these
Wondering if it can be used for casual gaming, more for teamspeak i guess. Do i need to buy extra cables or something or the wires it provides can be plugged into the pc and all is good? Not sure if my question made sense.
Omg I want these so bad!!! Another great review!! Also are you going to get those headphones I told you about the psyc wave zx?
+Kayden Zoller thanks, I will be getting those
Gamesky awesome I can't wait to see your review of them!
Nice review man, gave me alot of info. Now I have the original crushers should i consider upgrading to the wireless? one of the key things for me is sound quality and comfort after a few hours, any thoughts as to what I should do?
+Paul M then definitely. Sound is way better and you can wear these for hours because of comfort
Wonderful thanks man!
No problem
Which ones would you recommend primarily for movies/series ? So far I’ve narrowed it down to these and Sony xb950....
No mic test?
Hey mate . I am thinking of getting a pair of these for myself can you tell me what you think you have used them for a while ???
First I was hoping to replace my Skullcandy Gaming Headset with the Crusher Wireless, but it doesn't seem to work for pc (maybe I'm doing something wrong). I mean I can hear something but the mic doesn't work. And for the phone (only tried plugged in by now, not Bluetooth) the sound leak is terrible and the bass is either not there or waayyy to high, but nothing in between. Any suggestions?
Kisame Hoshigaki its simple, they're just not for you Xbox try with a flatter headphone like the athletic m50x
Is there a mic in these heaphones
Yes
Just got this for $90!! Best deal
Is It Good For Gaming ?
You also have the ability to adjust it to your liking as well (I stay at about 20-25%) They are amazing for games as well
Gamesky Thanks! I'm going to Best Buy today to check them out! Love the channel by the way 👍🏽
you can go a track back you only need to be very quick
if it starts over you need to emediatly push the button en after 3 seconds it goes a track back
How is the bass on these compared to the bass on the Sony MDR-XB950N1 headphones?
Amazing natural sound to bass, but must EQ tune the headphone to make sound nice or else it sound like radio.
is the skullcandy crusher has stereo audio type?
does it have lithium battery??? how long does the battery last if you dont use them... should i charge them always before i get out with them so i have full battery time?
I was considering these or the Audio Technica ATH-M50x for music and gaming on my PC. Which one would you recommend? I need to get whichever will give me great bass and sound for both gaming and music. Advice is much appreciated, thanks :)
Cpt Kush Mush I would give the edge to the Crusher Wireless simply because the bass in games and music is amazing. It adds a whole other element in games
Okay, thank you for replying :). I heard some things about the M50x that I didn't like too much, so I'm definitely going with the Crusher Wireless
Cpt Kush Mush you got them? If so how do you like them?
Cpt Kush Mush How are you going to compare monitoring headphones to headphone made just for fun? First off, The crushers dont have flat sound, but the ath150 are very flat and boring sounding in my opinion. Crushers for daaaaayyyyz compared the audio whatever.
people say the reliability is trash and that is breaks on its own easily, is that true?
I haven't had any issues, but I also don't use mine as often as others would because I'm always testing other products
@@OfficialGamesky ok, well i asked cause many people say that they break sometimes even within 2 months
Can these cans be plugged into a home theater receiver? I plan on using them while watching action movies late at night.
Don't want to po my neighbors.
hey gamesky Im really wanting to get these I have the Sony mdrx950bt love the sound on those but for me they are uncomfortable on my head the plastic headband hurts my head and they seem heavy on my head are the crusher wireless more comfortable and are they light weight? does the wires on the sides rub against your head or ears? let me know something when get a chance Id really appreciate it man good review great channel man
+Brent Porter thanks, these are definitely more comfortable than the 950's and you don't even know the wires are there. These are definitely worth it
What about the earcaps? Do they cover your whole ears? Is there any uncomfortable feelings when they are worn for longer periods?
depends on the size of your ears these did not get uncomfortable to me after wearing them for a few hours. maybe a little warm because these are closed back headphones
took me 3 years to break these and they still work
I know that this vid is a year old but thanks for covering how they sound while gaming
Got these for $100 on Best Buy. Also Gamesky do these headphones get uncomfortable after wearing them for long periods of time? My beats solo 2 do that and I hope these crushers don't.
Tyrannical Tyrantrum I didn't have any discomfort with these
Hey Gamesky, considering they retail for the same price, what are the best ones; these or the Sony 950bt? how do they compete with each other in the sound department, considering clarity and fidelity to the music? great video btw! eager for your opinion.
Sebastián Domínguez these are better overall, bass boosts higher and you have control over it. Treble and mids come thru really nice and never gets lost. the Sony's become bloated bass when you turn the bass boost on. definitely go with these
Gamesky Thanks for answering man! keep on with the awesome job.
Sebastián Domínguez thanks
Are you gonna do a review on the new skull candy method wireless?
+batatron I had planned on it, I just have to pace myself or I will be broke
Is there any latency issue while watching movies with these?
how much where these and are they in store yet???? i have been wondering if a pair of wireless akullcandy crushers were coming out thats cool that they made a pair.
skullcandy i meant
Ryan Baggett they are $200 and they aren't supposed to be released until next week but most Best Buy's have them
+Gamesky thanks and dang these are expensive has crap. im gonna half to save up till i get a good welding job within the next year but thanks man.
Nice review! Mine will be here tomorrow! Looking forward to getting in the gym with them for my workouts! I have a pair of Jaybird X2 and sick of them falling out of my ears and the low battery life.
+Jeremy Peterson you will love these and they will definitely kept you pumped during workouts
Gamesky I really want your opinion, should I go for the Bose QC35 wireless or the Skullcandy Crusher wireless. Just to note, I love bass and sound is something I'm not so picky with.
+Malikai Uchiha then this one is a no brainer....go with the Skullcandy
Gamesky That is definitely a no brainer, but what I really should be asking is that are they really that much better than the last ones? I've been using the regular Skullcandy Crusher for 2 and a half years now and I still adore them now. I just don't want to spend $200 on headphones that are just like the regular ones, but wireless.
5:21 Thanks Apple
Do they have mic ?
Just wanna know
Guillermo Toralla yes u are able to talk to people through them
Hit the minus button 3 times for previous track
This or hesh 3 ?
Nayak their both goo but if u want that bass vibrating ur ears than go with the crushers
Good
I have a big concern about these headphones.
But if it use cancerous products that can be found in food then it's not gonna make a big difference anyway.
can you make a comparison between Beats studio 2.0 BT (or Solo 3) and Crusher? THANKS!
Does the mic work on any gaming counsel with aux?
Does it isolate sound better dan sennheiser 4.40bt
Much better
Does it come with bluetooth dongle or do i need to buy it separately?
Also, can i use mic for pc gaming or is it for phonecalls only? Sorry
about stupid questions...
I'm wondering how much better the wireless crushers are than the wired crushers.
Amaru Azazel to me they are like night and day....the wireless are so much better
I just got these today. You can track back. Just press to previous song then the same again
thanks for the info man been looking forward to these as well!
no problem. definitely my most anticipated headphones of the year
Lol yea fr I'm still in love with my crushers and having them wireless is Just an amazing improvement to make in my opinion
marcelo Buchhammer agreed....and they improved the overall sound as well
Did they really lol I still think my crushers have amazing sound how so then?
Brent Porter Go with the skullcandy crusher wireless. They are cheaper and sound amazing and have much more bass. Beats are an absolute rip off. skullcandy is bae.
+Bardock The Legendary Warrior skullcandy is for poor people, beats are premium, slick and made for the attention whores like myself
Gustav Lundberg Wow you're an idiot.
Without the bass slider turned on, they sound really nice and surprisingly flat to my ears. Could be useful as a monitor that can go wireless.

Awesome review, also here's a tip, If you sign up for Skullcandy's e-mail list on their website you get 20% off, I just picked up a pair for $160.
thanks for that, makes the headphones even sweeter to get them at that kind of deal
I know, I was shocked that the e-mail signup discount worked for a brand new product. It's awesome.
