I never learned about primer (eye or face), bronzing, contouring, highlighting, liquid liner, false lashes, or setting spray until I started watching makeup vids on youtube, which was only 2 years ago. I'm 37. My mom started letting me put on makeup to play with it when I was about 9. I didn't start wearing it to school until high school. I learned simple makeup from - foundation, powder (mom had Coty airspun), blush, eyeshadow, pencil eyeliner, mascara, lips. That's it. I still don't do bronzer or contour. I do use primer and setting spray. I don't use false lashes still and I haven't been brave enough to try liquid liner, though I do like gel eyeliner (other than the fact that you have to clean the brush every time you use it). The first makeup I bought consisted of almost all Cover Girl products. I remember using a foundation they had in a compact with a little sponge for a LONG time. Natural Ivory, I believe, was my color. Memories! lol
Can you do a make up tutorial of how you wore your makeup back in the day, I think they are soooo funny to see old looks and see how far you have come now x

The drug store brands I tried but did not like how they interacted with my eyes. I tried Lancôme mascaras and I always go back to that. I am going to try Hourglass’s new mascara. As A teen I used Cover Girl because Christie Brinkley was all over Glamour magazine and I did get that. So I hope you read this because I am now ancient 64. I love watching you girls on you tube. I would like to go on myself but ... I think everyone likes the young girls.

And Rimmel eyeliner in cobalt blue I bought when I was about 14/15, I've deviated and tried the equivalent from Essence, Maybelline, MUA and Revolution and they don't have the glide nor the richness nor the staying power. Gone back to the OG now I'm 28 and I don't know why I bothered looking elsewhere because the scandaleyes eyeliner formula is bloody brilliant! Xxx
I just bought and tried NYX Photofinish Foundation and it's great. I'd probably use some version of Covergirl mascara if I hadn't discover makeup TH-camrs
The loreal true match foundation is something bought without youtube influence and I still use it every day. It's my favorite foundation ever and my skin just works with it so well! I will use up and then repurchase it until I die!
The essence all about matt powder! Used it in the early days every day and I still have it with me on a daily in my bag to keep my oils at a minimum but only to powder thru the day. At home right after putting on my Make-up I use the mac mineralize skinfinish
Great video. I just wanted to mention that if you are thinking about getting a new blush that's not over-the-top & i find it goes with most looks, you may like Aglow by Clinique. It's the only blush Ive actually gone through & had to replace because nothing else looked as nice for me :}

You should try the Esqido gel eyeliners. They are AMAZING. You only get black and brown but they are fab. They are on offer for $10 Just now. I bought one of each and love them that much I have ordered another two as back ups. It lasts all day with no smudging or flaking. The pen has a built in sharpener at the other end and they are also retractable. Would love to see what you think of them xx

Im from in Nz and we don't have a lot of brands here. Before youtube i bought only Maybelline, Rimmel and a cheap aussie brand called BYS. I thought Loreal and Revlon were highend lol.

I've used an Elizabeth Arden brow powder for about 28 years so, long before it was really a big thing lol and whether this is bad or not who cares but I've never had to repurchase...I still use the same one which I also use under my lower lash line if I can't be bothered with eyeliner. So on that note I'd recommend that one lol

Btw i wish u would add some color to ur background... Considering ur hairs blonde and its all white. Anyway was wondering if you could review the tatcha primer that came out. When I was in high school, i thought the only people who need to fill in their brows are those who have no brow hairs whatsoever, or very old women who need to draw on fake looking brows. Also I thought you just do that with a regular eye liner :)
I recently found (by myself) Kiko Velvet Passion Matt Lipstick in the shade 333 and went back to Kiko and bought three more the following week. Why did I do that? Because everything good that I love gets discontinued and I love it and wear it every day.
