Had the case of the FOMO so I bought the Brompton Toolkit!

  • I already had a bicycle toolkit in my bag but I found it cumbersome, heavy, and took too much space in my bag. So everyday, for almost a month, I went to the Brompton USA site to see if it was in stock. Took a while but I finally got it! Here are my first impressions and thoughts on the products. Thanks for watching!

I just got mine today. I used it to tighten the seatpost quick release clamp - one of the advantages of the official toolkit is that you can see in the official brompton videos which tool to use for what.

Bought it, reluctantly because of the price, then needed it
the very next day and was extremely Happy that I did!
It is beautifully designed and made, worth Every Penny!

I immediately fell in love with this stuff. Well designed, good quality and of course, super useful.

The more I looked at it, the more I wanted it, the more I needed it. Just works and it’s integrated in the frame, how can we not love it??

I bought this because my blessing has always been that if I have everything I need to fix a flat and I maintain good tire pressure, then I won’t ever have to fix a flat.

Agreed! I feel the same way. I’ve also heard that the brompton pump is not that good so I keep an eye on my PSI before each ride. I’m interested in what others carry, Especially in a high pressure pump that’s easily carried.

@@bromptonintheboroughs7773 I have carried a Topeak Road Morph G. At events I have found it to be the best pump to get road bike tires up to 100+ PSI

I ended up using it to help someone on a non Brompton Bike. They were impressed that I didnot have to carry a larger tool kit and could pull it out f the frame.

I initially was against spending so much on a tool when I had cheaper multi tools that I carry, but after inserting it in the frame for the first time, the possible regret was gone. Love it!

Bought my first Brompton a month ago to take with me on the truck a used 3 speed in great shape . I’m a OTR driver in Phoenix drive mostly western states . Originally from Long Island. Let’s Go Mets❗️⚾️Thought this was a little pricey but really cool. Couldn’t find any online. Amazon had it but was asking $155.00❗️Called the shop I got my Brompton from and they had it😁

The availability of Brompton parts can come and go. When I couldn't get a replacement handlebar catch kit from official sources, I found the stock Brompton part on eBay from a bike store in the States. Just take note of the shipping costs. Some are ridiculously high.

Lol. That's why I bought the tool kit. =D. I got mine from Curbside Cycles in Toronto and they shipped it to the US no problem. I justified the cost by getting it as a birthday gift.

I bought one set early for my Lightweight and the contend is fine for most jobs. I did need to use it for a heavy job, and realized that the outside cover acted as a handle for that, making it more usefull.

If you decide you don’t like it, I imagine you can get most of your money back, as with most Brompton stuff 👌

You might need to watch a couple videos on this. The first bit actually is a dual bit, it is just the full size of the shaft and that other one is not a Phillips bit. If you look there's extra little ridges between the four primary blades that make this a Pozi drive bit 😉
