I experience the same egoless state by becoming totally present in the moment, when thinking ceases and inner stillness arises. No chemicals necessary.
This is so good, thanks for sharing I liked this one a lot and how you bring all of the different ideas together you're truly inspirational and a caring teacher.
This video to understand it better one must have done a lot of sravana and manana practice. It's really really packed with lots of information to be absorbed in one take. Infact this video is a complete book of more than 300 pages about Ego. Thank you swami Tadatmananda ❤❤❤❤❤
Generally speaking suffering is the result of limitations imposed on ourselves by ourselves. The problem is that limitations are as a rule not being aware of. And that makes suffering a kind of endless and hopeless process which seems to be impossible to stop at all. Thanks Swamiji for your suggestive talk!
Namaste!!! Mr. Mark, love your videos and explanations, you have a wonderful gift to explain in details in very comprehensible way, this is definitely gift from a God!!! Thank you very much for ALL your work!!!
Unregulated yes as of today… I agree it’s not a replacement for meditation… but you have to understand not everyone can meditate for hours and have that self control…
I am the pupil Illumined by pure consciousness, I am the pupil Revealed in pure consciousness, As One meditates the mind softens, And it is calm, This leaving and rising, Is the witnessing consciousness, Revealing it's SELF To the pupil.....
Thank you so much, Swamiji. Such a beautiful and nuanced explanation. I wonder if the Lord Buddha was initially pointing to something similar through his concept of "anatta" or "anatma," but then somehow over the course of time, the emphasis shifted between Buddhism and Vedanta... in any case, may we all find mukti/release from samsara and may all beings find enlightenment. ❤🙏
Thank you for your teachings. I have an honest question; no malice intended; I just want to know: have you reached enlightenment already? Even temporarily? Or is that a life goal for Vedanta followers? Could you do a video about it? Are Advaita Vedanta gurus "enlightened"? And what would that mean?
With all due respect, why God, the giver of all including Consciousness is always missing from these talks? Why not bring Brahman to self inquiry and recognize Brahman’s love and blessing in speeding up our evolution? According to an ancient Indian saying: ONLY THROUGH GRACE OF GOD SELF IS REVEALED.
Whenever someone asks me to say something about myself I go totally blank. I request them to give me a questionnaire instead, usually verbal and while answering it I am like who is this that I am talking about. People hence think that I am a dunce. 😅😂😂😂😂😂
Ayahuasca and mushroom has the potenciality to liberate beyond a life of theraphy, and 5meodmt can let you mett god, literally. And its signifficancy is something god has created with its own purpose, so why u r deamonizing it is biased in your rationalization.
He's not saying that they will always have a bad outcome, just that the ego deaths produced by psychedelics aren't as replicable and consistent as spiritual practice. You can't expect a psychedelic to reliably produce an ego death since many people who take psychedelics often do miss out on spiritual and healing experiences, particularly during so-called bad trips, and can even experience psychosis and depressive episodes after said bad trips. This is not the case from spiritual practice.
He made a blanket statement that users of psychedelics are "reckless adventurers" "seeking pleasure." That's both dismissive and derisive. Furthermore, I didn't claim any of the strawman arguments you are making to be untrue. Finally, spiritual practice has plenty of pitfalls, escapism, conceitedness, self-delusion and depersonalization, to name a few. Nor is it a given to acheive enlightenment. Yet I would never dismiss such practices out-of-hand the same way he is "hallucinogens."
@tcorourke2007 I'm just saying as someone who has used psychedelics and has practiced spirituality before and after those experiences, spiritual practice is reliable and consistent. And in contrast I have seen myself trying to use psychedelics to replace or speed up my practice, and this came with mixed results. Notably not bad, but not all good unlike with disciplined spiritual practices like meditation and self inquiry.

Who (or what) is the one that enjoys the expansiveness resulring from temporary loss of ego?
@rram4772 It seems to me that the realization and the realizer are different. Truth is something private and exclusive to the knower.
Pranam Guruji 🙏

I find your dismissive attitude towards psychedelics... rather unenlightened.
