I love this. Much respect for Criss. I love how he admits he's an illusionist. He does not claim to actially have magic. He simply preforms tricks, the entire magic aspect is just for the appearance. He does not fool people into giving him money, he preforms for entertainment. People pay to be entertained and that's good. I saw Criss Angel in Vegas and was a huge fan leading up to it. 10 minutes into the show he thought he saw a flash of someones camera. He stopped the show and scolded the audience for it over the next 10 minutes. Super uncomfortable and awkward. He was acting just like he was in this clip. Loud, condescending, talking about how much money he has, his road to success, etc. I was pissed. The show was mediocre at best, but I was jaded because of how preposterous and pompous he was acting. After he had the security walk through all the aisles to see if anyone had their phones out, no one found the culprit, and he begrudgingly started the show but made it clear that if anyone else took a picture or a video he would walk off stage. He is the single most vile entertainer I have ever had the displeasure of seeing live.

Green Uri Geller used to perform and present himself as an actual psychic. He would go around actually saying he had telekinetic powers and just flat out lying to people. Green Uri Geller used to perform and present himself as an actual psychic. He would go around actually saying he had telekinetic powers and just flat out lying to people. This guy is doing the same thing, it's not presented as an illusion or an act, it's presented as a flat out supernatural power. So I was surprised that Criss was even willing to sit there with Uri if he felt this strongly about this other guy's act.

Not in those words. He wanted to "show" that he "could". It's part of the act. He never actually claims to use real powers or real magic. He only wants to sell the illusion or trick, and he shares a lot of his secrets. Doing the necessary speech and setting the mood have always been a staple of performers. The guy he burned explicitly claimed to have supernatural powers time and again.

That's why he says, some of his acts are illusion some are real.
