  • In this video tutorial I have explained step by step what are the basic differences between Azure VM scale set and Availability set, Demonstrated by a presentation as well as logging in to Azure Portal to show the differences in the configuration as well, I have already prepared individual videos for configuring these two, links for those are there in below list
I have covered the following in this video:
    1) What is the difference between Azure VM Scale set and Availability set?
    2) Azure Scale set vs Availability Set
    3) What is Azure Scale set?
    4) What is Availability set?
    5) difference between scale set and availability set
    6) Fault Domain
    7) Update Domain
    8) when to use Azure scale set?
    9) When to use Azure availability set?
    10) Azure Scale set Explained
    11) Azure Scale set demo
    12) Availability set Explained
    13) Availability Set Demo
    14) Step by step demo of difference between Azure Scale Set vs availability set

    Dear,
You are working hard to explained. Much thanks
It's possible to create availablity set in different vnet machine. ?

Hi thanks for the feedback, to answer to your question, as availability set is related at data center level, you need to have same vnet for your VMs in an availability set.

Does AVS configure and copies multiple VM?...what is the meaning of spreading VM across FD and UD?

When availability set is described to host VMs within the same data center, does that mean that all VMs in the same availability set reside in the same Availability Zone? can they/how are they still distributed across multiple fault domains, since 1 availability zone = 1 fault domain?

I have a question, when we specify autoscaling in availability set, we provision or deprovision VMs based on demand or workloads, is it the same as Scaling Upwards or Scaling outwords?

    • @BeCloudGuru
      @BeCloudGuru  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@Rahul, thanks for watching the video, to answer your question it would be a scale out operation where number of servers will get increased to meet the increasing demand or workload. I believe you understand the difference between scaling up and scaling out operations

@@BeCloudGuru Thanks a lot, yes I do understand the difference b/w the two. Quick question though, what would be the scenario to scale up instead of scaling out?
