In case you're curious how I found this, it was actually by accident. I'd seen random stuff floating around through space occasionally but had no idea where it came from. Then one day I was messing around with the "inspector" in the "sandbox utilities" mod, just scrolling through all the different assets in the space rig, and I saw "trash compactor." I didn't know what it was so I went over to where its coordinates were, and there was nothing there, but then I saw the trash emerging from below and I finally realized what it was. I really do think that it's probably the most hidden aspect of the space rig, since there's literally no visible sign that it's there until you walk up to it and trigger the trash to spawn.
FYI, @tylerrusnak pointed out that they were able to get it to trigger more successfully when standing about a foot back from the left side of the yellow trapezoid on the window. The way I found the location I showed in the video was by finding the coordinates of the trash compactor trigger box in sandbox utilities, then setting my dwarf to those exact coordinates, and I've checked again in season 5 and that location hasn't changed. However, when testing again just now, I found I was able to trigger the trash compactor all the way from the left side of the left metal beam to the right side of the yellow trapezoid, which would place the center around the left side of the yellow trapezoid, so I guess the trigger box must have a lopsided shape or something.
You missed the most important thing: There is a chance to see Doretta's head coming out of the trash compactor. That's what they do with her head when we bring her back. They throw it back out into space.
