Thank you for sharing such a wonderful outing. How fun that your was with you. I recently read one of Anne Glenconor’s book where she described growing up at Holkham. ❤
Oh Louisa, i so wish i lived closer. I would absolutely love to visit Holkam. Thank you so much for taking us along with you. This is my idea of heaven, TRULY MAGICAL VIDEO. Thank you so much ❤
Lovely views from inside Holkham Hall We are due to visit the Christmas and food fair in a couple of weeks at Holkham then Creake Abbey food and gift weekend after so as I haven't done much Christmas shopping yet hopefully I will be sorted with lots of nice things. Truly put me in the mood for Christmas after watching 😊
Loved that!!!! Decorations of the halls were over the top! Best part for me was the "fascinator" making. I was making them in my sleep last night!!! hahahaha
Wow, stunning displays! Your head wreath is beautiful ❤ and definitely needs to be on display in your home. Absolutely loved your video, thanks for sharing xxx
What a gorgeous event. Your headdress is beautiful you absolutely must wear it! Love Holkham Hall especially the kitchen. We did the Christmas Lights last year and were so impressed. Hope to go every year...a new tradition. We were up that way last weekend but everything closed thanks to Bert! Was still a fabulous weekend. You live in such a stunning area.
Wonderful video today. As a child, I was also scared of Father Christmas (Santa Claus in U S). I very much enjoyed the tour of Holkam Hall. It was so amazing. Thank you so much, Louisa. Take care.
Thanks Louisa what a lovely afternoon, evening spent at Holkham hall with Roman. Stunning Christmas decor just amazing to see all those Christmas Trees , all so beautiful.🫶🏻💖.
Thank you for filming, and what amazing job you did. Well done with making the headdresses definitely wear them. I would be interested to know why Rowan did not like the Chapel? And laughing that baby Jesus was gold. 😢
The shop, Louisa! The shop. Why didn’t we get to go inside the shop? Of course they may not have let you film in there, but I was hanging out to get inside it.
This is now on my places to visit for next year. We went to Chatsworth House last week for their Christmas event (and it snowed!). It was equally magical with the decorated house, Christmas market and illuminated garden walks. Also lots of charity shops and antique shops nearby!! Maybe a venue for a winter trip next year? Wonderful vlog. Thank you
The red-and-white Amanita muscaria mushroom holds a special place in Christmas traditions, particularly in European folklore, due to its festive colours, association with magic, and symbolism of good fortune. Often found in forests across Europe, Siberia, and North America, these mushrooms grow near birch, spruce, and pine trees. In German and Austrian traditions, they represent luck and prosperity, appearing in holiday decorations and charms. Their link to winter solstice rituals, where shamans used them in ceremonies and gifted them, has even inspired aspects of Santa Claus lore, such as chimney visits and flying reindeer. This blend of nature, myth, and festive charm makes the Christmas mushroom a symbol of enchantment and joy
Your Christmas will be very much different from ours here in Aotearoa New Zealand. We will eat alfresco on two long tables set up in the shade of a verandah, overlooking a wonderful sea view. Our lunch will feature cold ham, seafood platters including poisson cru and NZ green-lipped mussels, new potatoes, several salads and chilled drinks. Our dessert will feature the famous NZ pavlova with oodles of fresh berries. There will be only 12 of us at the table this year but we'll still exchange gifts and there'll lots of laughter and fun. Love it!
@tabitha4135 it certainly is like Christmas to us. We remember the Reason for the Season. We have Christmas trees, sing carols and exchange gifts. I have experienced Northern Hemisphere Christmases and, although beautiful with the dark coming early in the evening and the fabulous lights, they felt rather odd. Each to his own. 😊
@@elegantlyknackeredstyle Yes. More of a rhetorical question. It is discounted after Xmas to be fair but it would be nice to have the extras after December as well. Anyway looking forward to it. Might sneak in our own mince pies 😉Thanks for your preview.
Beautiful decorations x
Yes, there was beauty everywhere we looked 😊
Wow!! If that doesn't get you into the Christmas spirit nothing will! Amazing. Thanks for taking us along. ❤
I agree, it certainly made me feel festive
Absolutely stupendous ! All the work that has gone into making this spectacle. Must be heartbreaking to disassemble. 😪
I agree. I bet it is much more fun putting it up than it is taking it down.
Loved every moment of this.Feeling really Christmasy now.❤
Yay, my job is done 😊
Hi Louisa , that was amazing , I liked the kitchen best too ! Nice evening with Rowen indeed ! Take care Paula
Yes, Rowan is Little Miss Christmas so she wasn't going to miss this!

I am pleased you enjoyed it. I am thrilled that Rowan is still excited about Christmas.
@ Pleased Rowan enjoyed herself. !
Thank you for sharing. I am sure there was a program years ago on TV in NZ showing the preparations for Christmas. ❤
There was and got replayed last year. Think it’s on TVNZ on demand.
@@nicarazzi thank you, I will check that out 😊
I must look that up too. I am sure it is available to view in the UK
How beautiful ! Thanks for sharing 😊

Thank you for filming, and what amazing job you did. Well done with making the headdresses definitely wear them. I would be interested to know why Rowan did not like the Chapel? And laughing that baby Jesus was gold. 😢
Rowan wasn't keen on the music in the chapel.
The shop, Louisa! The shop. Why didn’t we get to go inside the shop? Of course they may not have let you film in there, but I was hanging out to get inside it.
Sorry, yes we rushed around the shop before heading home.
Every year I keep saying to my husband we should go, but other things overtake.
I have just bought tickets. Just needed a nudge. Thank you!
Have fun! 😊

There's certainly lots of loveliness in Norfolk too😊
Your hairband decoration you made is fantastic, I am definitely going try my hand at making myself one... Love it.
Go for it! 😊

NZ pavlova? Let’s start an Anzac argument about that, shall we? Just joking. Who cares who invented it. It’s delicious!
@theresechenoweth2321 😊😆
Very nice 👍 doesn’t sound very much like Xmas thou 😂🎄
That sounds so different. I love how everyone around the World celebrates Christmas in such different ways.

Love Holkham so much I even forgive Lord Coke for living in Switzerland!
Is that where he lives? I had no idea.
No mince pie or prosecco for visitors after Christmas!!😭 Why??
Is that what it says? I have no idea.
