Watching you, your guys and the truck operator work in a silent ballet is always entertaining and instructional. I'm working on a project that calls for piers and this solution using the plastic footing mold is a much better solution to an initial 3x3x1 footing with the pier as an addition. Excellent demonstration. Thank you.
Did that for a living in another lifetime down in the South. Rarely did we have a dry pour... usually into the water table. It was a bit tricky at times, damn good money.
That’s seriously intelligent. Time saving. You can beat the terrains if there are huge rocks underneath. The only thing I personally would do different because I’m a metal guy is I would use steel capped tubing. Then have the freedom to make my straddles to hold my structure.
What was the purpose of the short lengths of steel which sank promptly to the bottom of the column. Reinforcing steel only achieves a purpose when it is woven into a network or framework so that it’s tensile strength contributes to the structural integrity of the pour. Floating lengths of Rod achieve nought Stevros.
OK... You asked for it so here's your comment ----- DAMN YOU BONDO I worked a little hard today (for a retired guy that is), and I was getting sleepy eyes watching that little time lapse of you swinging in that mini backfilling that hole. Then at the snap of a finger you switch to bisket running that loud ass'd compactor and I about jumped out of my freakin' chair. Needless to say... I ain't sleepy anymore. ...ROFLOL...
I used the Lowes version of Sakrete footers and tubes at a fraction of the price. The one size footers I used for 12" tubes were $10 each and the 12"x48" tube is $14
@@nb-eq6rw Cinder blocks on a concrete footer that get filled with rebar & concrete are a economical choice that still looks good with some stone applied on the exterior.
@7:25 that's how I work. Just told the wife today that I don't understand people who can work with a shirt on. She's like that's why you don't understand me. Yep 👍
Man if only we had great concrete contractors, labor and excellent carpenters here or near Summit, Ms we would have some great homes. I had to pay extra for everything for workers to travel from La to Ms cause the labor out here is poop. They do not put rebar in cement and cement is all cracked up when they pour/finish so when i built my home i hired crews from Louisiana
Looks good! Making progress on that. Quick question…. A while back you had a 9 part series on your trailer build, did you finish that? If so I couldn’t find the videos. If you didn’t film the completion can you give us a walk through? I thought it was a cool build!!! Thanks, be safe and always remember “here comes the mud….get your boots on💪💪
Hey Bondo, I see the 315 area code on the concrete truck. I’m 585. What areas do you build in? Do you go down into the finger lakes or up into the adks?
I wondered how long it would take until they realized they didn't have to backup the wheelbarrow and turn it around. My mason daddy taught me that back in the 1960's along with many other ways to minimize movements and save energy.

Glad the video was helpful buddy.
“Here comes the mud!” Awesome intro bro, your a living legend. Thanks for all the info, very much appreciated
This is really cool, you guys work Together so well, and the quality of work is amazing.
What fantastic teamwork, makes for an easy pour and less physical labor for all.

Thats a good looking product
I love these footers. rock solid buddy.
Thanks Ronny. Look forward to the next project.
You know it uncle Jim. we already starting a few.

It’s the Benny Hill Show Bondo. 🤣 You need to pat Biscuit on the back of his head when the camera is spead up play the Benny Hill theme song. 👍
Love your work
Nice Job Ron. Enjoyed watching the progress. Carpenters sure take their sweet time, don't they... :o)
This one is super busy I know him. Same as we are.
Nice job. Got to look out for rebar too close to surface. Can be a nightmare when conflict with post anchors.
Looking good men!! 👍👍
thanks Robert.
Looks really good. Nice work
Another nice lesson
Thanks Ed
Looking good Ron! Where is Tuna boat? You need to take off your shirt too! Show off your man bod. lol
Question what’s stronger and longer lasting- Concrete walls or block walls ?
Obliviously Concrete Walls , if you mix concrete fiber to the mixture it will be significantly stronger & durable as well
What are you doing with the hose that you use in the tube after pouring mud?
Great work brother.👍🇺🇸🇺🇸
Thanks Joe
And you use the vibrated ?!? Say what .. Definitely a by the book’s company..
Definitely nice to see people not doing short cuts
and the square foot and sonotube remains in place below grade forever?
Nice work guys!!
Nice work. Do you have a video in which you install the 6x6 on the piers?
I must have missed it. but just wondering where Tuna is?
He moved on to different work.
Those things are pretty cool. As long as they dont get moved during backfill.
No saw zaw? Lol
Good content fellas. 👍🏽

That is good to know thank you
How long were the rebars? 4ft aswell ?
Nice work 🍺🍺🍺🍺👍👍👍👍👍
What are your thought on using Sono Tubes with Bigfoot for support columns for a concrete "Litedeck" vs. cinder block columns?
I have never done litedeck so not sure about that
Depends on the soil of where you live. That sounds like a question for an engineer. But why would you want to use cinder blocks?
@@nb-eq6rw Cinder blocks on a concrete footer that get filled with rebar & concrete are a economical choice that still looks good with some stone applied on the exterior.
@@wrfarms9741 Right but if you were using litedeck you probably aren't someone who cares about super economical.. Why not icf?

Beautiful work! what is the frost depth up in New York?
Hey what happened to Tuna?
Nice Work!

Agreed. And he frequently has his shirt off too. 🙂

Can you flip these upside down where the square is at the top?
Technically ya, you'd have to brace it off really well so it doesn't topple over. It'd be very top heavy so you'd have to support that weight too
why not install drilled piers??
Sona boots and funnel are cool
Ya I agree. Great foundation.
Did you put rebar in them?

Thanks for the support. I actually been to busy to finish it up. Hope to work on it this winter 👍
That big ole boy is tamping down that dirt better than that machine!.😆😆
Are these like those deck blocks? 😉

This looks. Good
That biscuit is gettin burnt
yup. LOL
Thumbs UP and shared. 😎 👍
Thanks Richard
Watch how RR Buildings does their sono tubes..It could potentially save you a lot of money and time.
Kyle is a rock star, this guy not so much...
They have all the gadgets. This guy can't even afford a Sawzall or snips to cut the bases quicker.

well done!
Well done.
Here comes the mud!!
no rings or stirups ouch
no wire messh police were harm making this film lol, great mix, here comes the mudddddd
I like them
Get your boots 👢 on 👍👍👍
Nice.
Thanks
Homie needs someone to buy him a sawzall instead of that handsaw
Yup I know. LOL
There has to be a better way to do that. That all is way too labor intensive and you can not reuse the forms.
That guy wouldn't be working for me like that. No short' sandles and basket ball short. Nope nope. Looks unprofessional as hell.
Who cares. Shouldnt you be at church old fart?
Очередной каркасник?
Stop the yelling! Here comes the mud👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻
Stop watching my videos. LOL
