I like this product more than I expected to like it (still pretty darn expensive though).
You guys and your sound effects is hilarious! Morgan doing the Horn of Gondor and Paul making Eagle noises! It cracks me up and keeps me watching! The commentary is Brilliant as well! 😃Morgan: "Oh I missed the hole!" 🤣
You guys have the best box openings hands down, always fun, always hyped! That said I'm glad I caught your videos on these openings, I hadn't researched much into what was in the box but the contents are totally not what I thought they were gonna be; I originally thought all of the art was going to be pulled from vintage/classical LOTR/ME pieces but sadly it's just one card per pack, maybe, and often it seems that one card is either Explore, Elvish Harbinger, or Tempt With Discovery. Again though, love your box openings, will always watch whenever you post them :)

I concur with the delegates of Malistaire, that the art is surprisingly good. I thought that it would be all Rankin and Bass cartoon art, but I like the mix and treatment they gave it.

Im on the hunt to collect the entire set. Like most said, it's getting ridiculously impossible to do and not lose your soul in the process. They should add these to regular packs and ditch the special edition bs. Make the chase fun again. Love the set. They pandered to the right side of my want. Happy hunting, yall.❤

Unsure what you mean. Tolkien made up Aragorn as a fictional character in a world of fantasy. He labeled Aragorn a Numenorean and once stated in a letter that Numenoreans were "best pictured in (say) Egyptian terms." But fantasy books are works of fiction. It's not like there are photographs of a real person named Aragorn.

Back in my day surge foils used to be very rare. Lol. In all actuality there are some neat cards in this set. I like the dusty / old look to them in the silver foil.
Nothing will be rare or scarce after about 2 years. Even serialized will soon be yawners.
The dusty / old look is nice and especially on The One Ring card. I opened some Surge Foils in first Set but here they seem none rare like you saying. 😮

I really have come to hate this product and the way they are just re-releasing it with new variants every few months, whether it be this or the secret lair stuff. I hope it's not some new normal. And if it is I hope they would put this much love and attention into their own IP

Well if a product is expected to be very successful by wizards they keep printing until sales drop. So Yeah expect more of this in the future.
Agree and will buy the Scene Boxes. One for opening and one for keeping Sealed. The One Ring in the Alternate Art is nice but so much Surge Foils that they overkill the Set!

It's pay per pack, you need to be in a breaker tier or Reserved List spot to get in on them. Your patron fees cover shipping once per month, so you can order as many packs as you like during that month.
We limit the amount of open breaker spots so when you do get in, there's actually product (usually) available for longer than 5 minutes

Fun vid. I like the new art but I heard you guys in NA call em cheap. Aint no cheap here. Not gonns be buying any box filled with reprints, favourite cards or not, at 450$US. It’s my favourite set, but never paying that much. Glad I didn’t pick up any surge foil lands they did those people dirty

As someone trying to collect the full set, I absolutely hate this new release. Not because it adds new cards, but it's just so excessive. Why do the showcase variants (the ones with the circular frames such as the red Gimili, Counter of Kills) recieve new numbering? Just because it's a surge foil? Since when has a surge foil version of the card given it a different collection number? Why isn't anyone else outraged by this? Instead of just simply replacing the current foil version in the collection, I have to keep that and also acquire this surge foil version and take up a slot in the binder. It's stupid. Wizards has made it impossible to collect sets, that's why no one's mad, because no one would bother doing such a stupid thing. Pokemon handles this excellently. Gah it makes me so mad. I really like this set, I wish it was actually obtainable though
I stopped at mh2 that’s the last set I completed. Normal foil, extended, etched foil was enough for me to open my eyes how bad it is.
I am a happy camper as soon as I have one version of every card, including extendend art and scenes. Do not care for the different foils, nor serialization, and thankfully I hate the scroll treatment so I will not be going aftere those cards at all... Already that makes this set crazy expensive though, I do not want to know what I'll have to pay for the Brothers Hildebrandt cards (which I think are really pretty) or the poster ones (which are cool to collect, but straight up unplayable)...
It’s the same across the board with all trading cards. Sports, racing, games, etc. It’s also the same with Comic Books. I’ve just come to the realization that if I want to be in any of the hobbies, I just collect what I’m specifically looking for and I don’t waste my time chasing everything else, because as you’ve stated, it’s hard to complete sets of anything anymore. As soon as you assume you have the complete set, a special edition comes out or a Con edition that is impossible to get. I’m pretty sure WOTC will decide to put out a new version of the 1/1 One Ring to get people going nuts trying to find it again. For most collectors or players, the hobby of searching these boxes to find a lotto ticket card will cost more in the long run than just buying a card from someone else that already wasted funds to find and sitting on that card for a few years to gable the value goes up.
