Yes I can sympathise I have done this journey numerous times from Birmingham to Blackpool (via Manchester) a bit of a stretch to say the least but cheaper than the train I guess thanks for the upload
I always remember just before we reached Blackpool, first one to see the tower, gets 10p. It might sound like nothing nowadays, but back in the good old seventies you could get at least 4 Mars bars for 10 pence. Dave

I don't know how they make a profit £4 is beyond me, it was a good adventure A good experience but me personally I still prefer the trade

I hate Motorways...won't travel on them. It's too open for me but i am agoraphobic.....prefer the pretty routes if i need to stop and pull over.
