This episode is made possible with the help of my daughter in law and her mom. Although my in-law, Susan now resides in KL but she was born and raised in Batu Pahat, threfore she still knows this town like the back of her hand. Last weekend she became my walking compass, tour guide, interpreter, etc. The good thing is she still has many friends in Batu Pahat who updates her on everything that’s going on in Batu Pahat, especially food. I really want to thank all the folks in Batu Pahat who made this episode possible. Your town really has good food, if this episode turns out well, I’ll return to do the sequel.

A very good review on Batu Pahat's scene and it's clusters of food ranging from ABC ais kacang & cendol , hawker centers, different dialect restaurants to iconic coffee shops selling what they know best and for generations. A good and refreshing food haunting episode and does makes me feel as if I am in Batu Pahat itself ...... Yatt Lau! Mou Tak Deng!👌. I still think Elmo's food haunting episodes has it's own originality and tastefully done. In this episode - The BEST ( my opinion) is See Kee Meen and it's the red sauce one that I liked. It's Deja Vu to me and hopefully I get a chance to eat at See Kee coffee shop on one of these days !!! Thank you Elmo for sharing this Batu Pahat episode and I'm sure you had a great time together with your grandchildren and your family there. Kudos 👏👏👏.

Chop See Kee is definitely the best wantan noodle store. I've tried other stores in Malaysia and Singapore but this store is the best.

Next time please try the famous Nasi Beryani Ayam at the BP River near the BP bridge. Every tourist I brought there are addicted to it.

Yes batu pahat used to have a lot brickwork factory n pocelain cottage industries in the early 70/80 if i not mixed taken,used to be chinese strong hold with the new highway by passing it ,a lot of new generation will missed it why driving up to s,pore s,porean loved the makan place fr hakka/hokkien speaking to mandarin catering to s,porean n chinese tourist,butt have never been there honestly,with yr reporting will loved to take my fmly there,thank you for reporting it looks like this town have pick up again with new makan places.WELL DONE AGAIN ELMO LEE.

Thanks for sharing my lovely hometown, in fact I grew up near the Xintiandi Foodcourt area. I just came back fr BP few days ago and had some of my brunches at 222 carrot cakes and Ah See wantan mee😅 Fyi, there is a popiah (spring rolls) stall at the lane next to Ah See wantan mee, which is quite famous and has been in business since decades ago.

I used to live in Yong Peng, close to Batu Pahat. I remember they had some good Chinese restaurants there (YP) when I was young.

Simple just get to KL Sentral terminal and grab a KTM komputer tain to port klang which happens to be the last stop and take a 5 minute walk to the pulau ketam jetty and grab a ferry

Notice Concerning a Product
in Breach of Agreement.
We, Umeken Co., Ltd., announce that the product “LPS LAB” that we supplied to Crexio Inc. was sold through a third-party company, Morimoto Formulas Sdn Bhd (1368439-V), in the area where the product was prohibited for sale based on our mutual agreement. To the best of our knowledge, after we sold the product to Crexio Inc., it was labeled with contents that we did not authorize and delivered to Malaysia. Therefore, as the manufacturer of the LPS products, we have notified Crexio Inc. that we will not sell any of the products to them in the future.
We greatly regret the confusion caused to our customers in Malaysia by this unfair transaction. Through our investigation of the incident, we have discovered that Morimoto Formulas Sdn Bhd (1368439-V) had posted a video on social networking sites claiming that “LPS Lab” contains twice as much LPS as the legitimately exported product. However, this information is entirely false. We immediately insisted that Crexio Inc. removed the SNS video and confirmed that they had removed the part mentioning this false claim from the SNS video.
We have an exclusive distributorship agreement with a company to sell our LPS products in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and Brunei. Therefore, the unauthorized sale of “LPS LAB” in Malaysia by Morimoto Formulas Sdn Bhd (1368439-V) has seriously jeopardized the business of our exclusive distributor in Malaysia.
As the responsible manufacturer, we have been made aware of this fact and have since endeavored to recall “LPS LAB.”
Unfortunately, it is challenging to recall all of the “LPS LAB” products because Internet resellers may list the product on their websites without having it in stock.
If anyone has found a distributor with stock on hand, please kindly report it to us.
We are very sorry that we could not prevent this situation. We will do our best to revise our procedures and ensure that this does not happen again.
Umeken Co., Ltd. has been in business for 45 years, and we believe that only a trustworthy company can persevere. We truly regret that this territory violation damaged our credibility, but we will do our utmost to rebuild your trust.
