Hey folks, I really try my best to keep all videos under 30 mins. Ideally I'd like them to be under 20, however, this can be difficult to effectively cover the whole story/day. I do have the option of making Part 1 and a Part 2 but that also adds editing time. Hoping there's at least a couple folks out there who watch it through and enjoy it..... It takes great effort to find the energy and time to complete some of these videos. I really appreciate your time. Thanks again.
Brettski!! That is what I call great spearfishing....the message you are trying to get out to others is one that I have been telling some of the guys I go fishing with...don't over fish areas that have a little marine life...keep moving to find new spots and selecting quality over quantity.. Great footage as always and I hope some,if not all, who's looking at your videos learn something...😎👊👊
Thanks Rodney, I hope they’re learning too. We all owe it to ourselves and the environment to learn a little more. Just a lil effort goes sucks long way! Keep preaching it brother! ✊✊
You make a great point about selective harvesting of fish. I’d like to input that the same goes for handlining/rod fishing; throw back the small fishes, don’t keep everything. Catch and release technique should be used by all fisherman. Be responsible with our local fisheries. Great video man, keep it up!
catch and release can be a slippery slope - many fishermen take it to the extreme and fish purely for sport and hey while you guys are having a ball with you catch and release the fish is not enjoying the experience much i'd say.. and up sizing (which is when a fisherman throws a legal but smallish fish back is against the law in most places
How to be a Spearos 101 by Professor Brettski! You learn to hold yuh breath, I'll teach you how to hunt. That was some meat to take home. Excellent commentary and interlude as well. Keep my fishing video-crack coming!
Excellent video bro. Enjoyed it thoroughly. Great advice and tips not only for the spearfisherman , but people who fish in general. It's all about loving what you do and doing it responsibly and ensuring what you do doesn't damage the ecosystem. I've always admired your selectiveness when it came to fishing. That reef by the first hog fish was so beautiful. Keep up the great vids man , and keep being a great example for others.
Most people need to understand that😌👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 Not everything you see is to shoot or catch‼️.... It’s an amazing sport and the view under water is just breathtaking don’t abuse it... great job on this video brettski keep it up🇹🇹🔥
Love the message about dispatching the fish in the water. Less suffering for the fish (I would also add: better quality fillets with less lactic acid and bruising), and lower risk for your boat and buddies. Btw, the long videos are great. I often don't have time to watch the whole thing straight away, but put it on the Watch Later list and get onto it when I have time. Not sure how that works for you with the YT algorithm but it works for me!
Thanks so much for that feedback. Nice to hear folks don’t mind following through with the longer content and enjoy it! I’m not fully sure how the algorithm works either but that’s fine. We’ll survive not knowing 😀😀😆😆
hadda watch this vid about 10 times to soak up all this wisdom . really enjoyed this one more probably because of the advice being given. can't swim but do love these vids. brett ah see people miss fish eh but yuh is d best🤣🤣🤣🤣. i do practice selective fishing i want my boys to experience what I've experienced through fishing. we all need to come together to do out part to keep our fishery stocks at its best. tuna tuna tuna.
Haha thanks for the extra views! Happy to know you enjoyed the advice. It’s definitely our responsibility to ensure the generations to come have something look forward to. 🙌🙏
I am so glad that you said it's not all about money👏👏👏 Being selective and diciplined is key, great advice! Ah real enjoyed all the variety of fish you guys caught. It was definitely an epic video! Well it getting cold here so I giving the fishing ah rest and preparing for hunting season. So keep the videos coming while I bundle up for the winter ah will watch dem and cry while the boarder still lock down. Ah gone✌✌✌🇹🇹🇹🇹
30 minutes is good bro nothing less... I’m enjoying the skits ... brings humor to your content and I also appreciate the details ... keep bringing them videos bro 😎
Hey bro all your videos are amazing i really enjoy them but this video thouched my heart simply because for years i have been saying the same thing about selective spearfishing and by extension fishing in general....thanks for putting it out there for T&T spearos and hope they hear this message.
Dem fellas who miss de snappers only wildin' up de fish bai...bess u doh carry dem again! Lol. Enjoyed the vid. A lil too short though😩😩 Love the example you're setting and the message at the end. Looking forward to the next one
@@BrettThompsonfishing I'm glad to report that a friend of mine that i been talking to for years now about being more selective made a dive today up north. He watched this video and finally understood. He came home empty handed today but he felt a sense of responsibility that he didn't shoot any of the tiny fish he saw. He also realized that if you're patient and relaxed, fish come to you. and the big ones will come. Good job with this vid bro. Keep them coming, reach more spearos. i dont mean to be critical (especially as Im a beginner) but ive noticed that you tend to leave schoolfish alone in preference to solitary fish or fish in small numbers.. it just doesn't seem in keeping with sustainability ???
I would say you're being unreasonably over critical. Assuming you've watched the video in it's entirety I'm confused as to how one may arrive at such a conclusion.
