Coming from a painter! It seems the eastwood has finer atomization! Not sure if its the tip, speed or what but generally this leads to a better finish! Also on the same note the rc is definitely a beast to get jobes done! Which i prefer personally, the rc
The oem hopper does fluidize heavily helping a lot with faraday area penetration and multi coat applications. The other hoppers and cups I offer do spray thinner for customer that prefer a lighter powder cloud. The ultimate option is the fluidizing kit giving you full control over your powder cloud though
Would have been helpful if you mentioned whether the Eastwood was single or dual voltage and what the differences between the two Also, you kept mentioning something better than Eastwood but you did specify what that might be? Lastly, a demonstration of what it takes to bake pieces like the ones you coated. Not everyone has a shop with a bank safe sized oven to cure larger parts in. One other target audience that could get you a handful of views or subscribers that no one else has done is to do powder coating on cast lead bullets... it's all the craze right now... wink, wink. Love how cool you keep during your presentation, enjoy that there was not a bunch of mumbling during the spraying it helps to hear how well the equipment performs. Really like that you are keeping it real and not sugar coating anything, great job! Keep it up.
There is only one thing that you missed, and it's a big one, the price difference!

I do have another one in the works. It’s a similar system with enough regulators to control a fluidized hopper.

I've enjoyed watching your videos and your laid back approach. What is fluidizing? Did you build your own oven? Did you build your own filter system? I am trying to setup a small place in my garage but I don't have much room. What would you suggest as far as filter system and oven? Trying to keep it cost effective for a hobbyist.
Just did a racing seat with RC-1 and it turned out great! COuldnt be happier.

Hey great video ive been watching alot of your stuff and a few others sites on guns because im not new to powder coating but ive always used a buddys. I was looking at eastwood but seems to me that the RC 1 lays so much easier an pulls the powder to the part alot better looks like it takes half the ammount of powder to cover the areas. Seems to me like the eastwood wastes alot of powder, compared to the RC-1.

Very modest review but in all reality the rc series blows the EWDV out of the water all day everyday and it ain't even close. 🤷🏽♂️🤘🏼👍🏼👍🏼

I like your RC-1 alot better than my Eastwood Dual Voltage gun ! Eastwood shocks me alot from time to time. And Eastwood does not powder up under corners at all.. I heard you have a new Powder Cup for your RC-1, Im going to have to find and check it out. But yea the RC-1 sprays powder so even and smooth..

?Can the Rc1 pack be profitable for a hobby side hustle? Doing small parts for friends and family word of mouth. I am kind of familiar and have an idea of most of the start-up costs and equipment including compressor and prep equipment.

Something that puts out 3-4cfm would be more than enough to run this system.

So I seen in a video your running 40psi with the rc 1 what are you running for psi with the Eastwood
Typically spray the Eastwood around 10-15psi
Do you add anything to capture moisture?
I have several filters and a refrigerated air dryer in my air system.

No, the Eastwood is not capable of reaching the 45kv I use for for coats on the RC-1. The air pressure were also different. Each system was set to their optimal settings.
Is there a way I can get the powder to quit dumping out of the tip of my RC1 when the gun is pointed down? I noticed it did it to you as well on the ladder rack.
Some of that depends on the powder being sprayed (the weight of it) and the air pressure. The cups that come with the gun fluidize heavily which helps with coverage and faraday areas but also can cause build up in the nozzle.
The hopper kits and the new cups I designed help with that. They are available on the website if you are interested in checking them out.

My Eastwood takes forever to start charging the powder this is my second one. And I can't get them to do dual coats. I like how easy it is to change colors. Is the rc-1 better in your opinion?
The RC-1 is far better in coating capabilities over the Eastwood in my opinion

The powder is just falling off at 7:54. I'm using the same gun. And sometimes it just need to be above the item. So the powder is just falling to the painted surface and it becomes oversprayed. Have you figured out how to decide this problem? Thanks for your video.
