Prompto is a rather complicated character within the Final Fantasy XV Universe, as there's a load of stuff hidden behind the surface.
We get glimpses of this during Final Fantasy 15 Brotherhood, but as the story progresses, we learn more about his relationship with Ignis, Noctis and Gladiolus.
There's a scene in particular towards the end of the game, that involves Ardyn and Prompto and that's what this is all about.

Here's hoping that some questions are answered in Episode Prompto, when it releases in June! As there are so many questions that remain unanswered about Prompto's story in Final Fantasy 15.
How many of you guys actually got the loading screen? I'm genuinely curious how common it is! ~Darryl
Final Fantasy Union i got it, but i didnt realize the part inside the train was him aswell, i thought it was just when he pushed him off.
Final Fantasy Union I started realising it when Ardin started talking weird like saying dude and all that and even when the attack on the train started happening prompto also started talking a bit strange like he wasn't the same person I was hanging out with throughout the game so I pretty much knew something was up even without the loading screen.
Final Fantasy Union I got that loading screen. I somehow remember it after all this time. I guess it is just because how magical the game felt to me. It was so amazing. Prompto is my favorite character btw.
Final Fantasy Union I actually did get that loading screen
Final Fantasy Union I did
if you chose "not really" when prompto asks you if you were worried about him you're a monster
right?! I couldn't even ever bring myself to shut down a request for a picture
Right
could never bring myself too choose that one.
honestly there is lot of similarities between prompto and cloud
The only person who picked that option is the person who put it in the game but it's truly an illusion of choice option.
If you pay attention to the last cutscene of chapter 10, Ardyn boards the train *humming the chocobo theme*, which is a really sinister clue.
he does! i found that quite wierd, but honestly didnt give it two thoughts
OMG -.- !
nice catch!
OMG it's true!!!1 Now I'm feeling the chills!
Really?
he what?!
I remember when Ardyn was boarding the train, right before the chase happened, he was whistling the chocobo theme. That put me on edge right away. Sure, Noct likes chocobos, but Prompto adores them, so I had a feeling that Prompto was the one Ardyn was going to target. Then the chase started, and the speech pattern and body language gave it away for me that it was Prompto that Noctis was chasing pretty much immediately. When Noctis wakes up and it looks like Prompto was beside him, I thought it was the real Prompto at first, but he referred to Ignis by name rather than the nickname Iggy that Prompto almost always uses, and up went the hairs on the back of my neck again, and once more the speech patterns gave it away. I love how they used subtle details to tell what was going on during the sequence. And it was heartbreaking that Noctis was so mad that he didn't pick up on any of it until it was too late.
I entirely agree on this. I wasn't in the mind to Pick up the clues in my playthrough, I honestly love how the game attempted to put the player in the same situation and mindset of Noctis but allowing the character to manually act out the attempt of attacking him and not putting it through a cutscene. It didnt work for everyone but I know it worked on me haha. The chocobo theme Ardyn whistled did put me on edge and I was scared he was the one behind Iggy's blindness and was going after Prompto next. After him falling off the train, I was terrified Prompto had died there, and in the Keep I didnt even know Prompto's MT thing yet but I was on edge of tears thinking Ardyn had turned him into something corrupted and was going to make the players fight/kill him. Especially after that "Skeletons in the Closet" line.
i agree, also right before the chace happen noct was speaking with prompto and he was standing right next too noct, right before the time froze. when the time froze prompto was gone.
As soon as I heard "Dude, are you seriously trying to kill me?" My jaw dropped. It clicked in my head pretty quickly that it was an illusion. However, SE got me with the gun scene. I didn't think Ardyn would play the same trick twice so fast. But I did feel that Prompto's reaction to Noctis attacking him the first time was too nonchalant.
I completely fell for it the entire time. When it comes to these types of details I'm a little blind. Im still blown away that on top of making Noctis attack him through the train and push him off of it Ardyn also was fighting with us. That sneeky bastard.
What if he was expecting it?
I knew Ardyn switch with Prompto on top of the train, i had no idea he did so earlier within the train, i thought that was Ardyn himself mocking Noctis.
WyrmKingBahamut Same
WyrmKingBahamut Exactly...wow, I missed that. I'm about to head to Altissia now in my second run of the game and I might pick the negative answers. I don't want to though...I hate the idea of hurting Prompto.
Me too! When I watched this video I was like 'HOLY FUCK THAT MAKES SO MUCH SENSE'
WyrmKingBahamut me and my sister caught that right away also did you notice while he was watching them get on the train he is slowly, creepily humming the chocobo song
WyrmKingBahamut Me neither until I thought about it some more later.
In the sequence when Noctis is holding 'ardyn' onto the eall that was prompto, yes, buuut after noctis collapses, prompto runs away to ehere ignis and gladio are. that's why when noctis wakes up and 'prompto' sits with him, this one is actually ardyn. so the fight outside of the train is noctis partnering with ardyn
It's interesting that when Ardyn says to Noctis "I believe I've earned the right to call you Noct" is referencing to the time when Noctis and "Prompto" are fighting off the MTs. You weren't fighting with Prompto, you were fighting with Ardyn pretending to be Prompto. You can see hints of it in the non-tech battle dialogue, too and the way "Prompto" speaks in a slightly different way.
Haprilona Also, Prompto doesn't die easily when the two of you are fighting the MTs. Well not 'easily' he literally can't die on that part. (Seems like familiar, like a guest party with Aranea, Cor, and Iris who can't die.)
Not just that but his behavior. Normally, Prompto is always the one who freaks out during situations like these(especially in caves/dungeons) so to see him act so calm was a dead giveaway as well.
yeah... usually I'm using a ton of potions, ethers, and phoenix downs on him in battles similar to that one...
People were confused about this?
Haprilona that's exactly what i was thinking. I figured that the "prompto" from the point noct wakes up is actually ardyn and not exclusively the holdup. I'll need to play it again to see the subtle differences, (I've only played it once) but chewing on it immediately after I was wondering if that might have been the case. that would also explain why prompto was so chill.
I wonder who thought that explaining this in the loading screen was a good idea..
Kuro Shibito Bungie consultants
NOBODY! 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
I've been telling people FF15 is deeper than they think but people need story spelled out for them. When Ignis is blinded and the group looks after hem i thought that was great character development. then at the end when Noct admits to the group that he accepted his coming fate yet he appreciates his boys for sticking through. i thought that held great weight. Idk.
yeah me too. there's definitely a lot of raw emotional scenes in the game too. when gladiolus was yelling at Noctis on the train, when ignis stopped the group to vent about his blindness, when prompto confronted noctis atop that motel. this game is very well done emotional wise.
yes there might be a story when you want to search for it. i generally don't need and want every story detail to be spelled out for me. For example like zelda breath of the wild you can discover what happened in the past but you don't have to but with ff 15 did it wrong. Cutting scenes out which are important, letting the gamer discover some important plot points through reading som paper laying on someone corpse who's supposed to be an important character but died off screen.... i could go on for an hour at least
Especially if you get the dialogue when driving on why Ignis wears the glasses. His eye sight is fine without it, but he says "He prefers his world to be crystal clear"
It's the hysterical contradiction of gamers today. Give them a story like any other and they will ask for subtlety and depth, give them that and they will complain because they asked for more than they could grasp.
Well if there is no sloppy love story people pass. I love the way those four worked along. It's much more interesting and deep than for example prince rushing to his beloved. I am glad they made the game this way.
I figured it was prompto when he said 'dude' in that sequence, mostly because it just didn't fit Ardyn at all to me in the story, I even tried in a futile way to not chase him :/
I've seen the loading screen on all three of my playthroughs, thought it was normal.
Interestingly, during the part after you wake up, Prompto appears to be in the guest player slot (pause menu), not in his normal spot. It's possible at that point that your partner was Ardyn, although that's less for certain
philam64 it is Ardyn. He kept that stitch up the whole time. That's why when Noctis wakes up, Prompto is calm, and why when you fight outside the train he's still totally calm when normally he'd be freaking out. Not to mention how invincible he suddenly became. Ardyn was Prompto the entire time during the train sequence which is why he asked the questions he asks when you meet up with him again.
This is a pretty old video, but I recently replayed it and there's one more tiny detail I noticed that I hadn't picked up on before. Spoilers ahead, obviously.
When you go to rescue Prompto from the prison cell in Zegnautus Keep, if you look at the cell to the right of the one Prompto is held in, you can see it's not set up like the other cells. It's got office furniture, including a desk. Upon the desk is a teapot, a radio and a microphone - in contrast to the other cells, with nothing but bunks and buckets (and the occasional dead Goblin). That's a workspace. And, don't get me wrong, but most of the Niffs don't seem like tea drinkers to me.
It looks to me as though the teapot likely belongs to Ardyn, which together with the microphone, seems very much as though much of the taunting of Noctis that was done earlier in the Keep, with him chasing the MT disguised as Prompto and such, was happening right in Prompto's earshot. I mean, it's pretty subjective, but it's a tiny detail that just twists the knife for me about what the hell was going on in there. It's subtle as hell and I love it.
Ardyn also has a sizable stash of S&M paraphernalia which is pretty....interesting.
@@gateauxq4604 really!!!!?????
ardyn taunting noctis within prompto's earshot would tell prompto that ardyn has shapeshifting/voiceshifting powers. which could clue prompto in about what really happened in the train. which lightens the situation a bit.
I don't think a lot of folks realized it during their first play throughs. it wasn't until various tumblrs and reddit users pointed it out a couple days after (most) players beat the game.
you really have to hand it to Darin DePaul and Robbie Daymond- their acting skills were phenomenal during that sequence. Bonus points, since they're both theater kids.
Lol, I didn't know that loading screen wasn't standard. For the first part of this video I was trying to figure out why you were explaining the whole situation bc I thought it was common knowledge, it's cool that the game apparently switches things up like that. Makes me feel special for getting that piece of information haha.
I feel like if I was a final fantasy character. I’d definitely be Prompto. He’s such a bubbly character but deep down inside there’s this hidden pain and shame from where he’s from. I was the same for my longest years that it drove me into depression. I love his character and most definitely is the most relatable one in the group for me.
🙁 I feel bad...I had no idea I was attacking him and I picked "Yeah" during that dialogue. Completely missed it
This is why Prompto is probably my favourite video game characters of all time. While he's so fun and happy and bubbly, he's carrying around huge anxieties, insecurities, and does everything in his power not to ever let it show. His friends, specifically Noctis, are his whole entire world, so knowing that Noctis is actually trying to hurt him on the train is heartbreaking. It gets even more heartbreaking when you play Episode Prompto and learn about the sheer amount of turmoil and torment Prompto was going through, convinced that the only people he has in the world have deserted him, and more than that, actually HATE him. And when the boys are finally reunited, Prompto's first question to him, "were you worried about me?" makes so much sense, knowing now the absolute hell poor Prompto had been through the whole time. What a stellar character.
I missed it the first time I went through it. Then I started thinking about the scene and how something about Ardyn's speech just felt off and suddenly everything just clicked into place for me. Rescuing Prompto was the final piece that convinced me. Prompto's uncertainty about whether Noctis would be worried about him or not wouldn't make a whole lot of sense without that scene on the train. Once you take that scene into consideration though and recognize that "Ardyn" was actually Prompto the entire time, everything Prompto says when he is rescued makes perfect sense.
The train episode was insane, with all of this "who's who??" Mess...and I felt sorry for Prompto and Noctis,Ardyn's mockery was brutal
Ardyn's pervent sense of humor at its finest.
It's actually not Prompto that wakes Noctis up after the train stops, it's Ardyn disguised as Prompto :0 that's why he's not all shaken up.
And when Ardyn-as-Prompto fired on enemies, he had different lines than the usual, right?
Final Fantasy 15 is one of the BEST games i've ever played in my entire life.. i cried, i laughed, the graphics are awesome.. played every sidequest, maximum lvl, strongest gear, all trohpies.. a MASTERPIECE in my opinion (playin videogames since i'm 6 years old, i'm 25 now)
I'm hoping that maybe with Ep Prompto we will be able to play through that train scene from Prompto's perspective. Or if not play it at least see some cutscenes. I think that would be really cool to see. Noctis suddenly charging you in a blind fury for no apparent reason whatsoever XD. poor baby Prompto :(
when I first played through that part i knew pretty much almost immediately what was up, but had no choice but to chase him anyway 😔
MissMello i noticed it was an illusion almost immedently but couldnt figure out who it was i was attacking
isabella stens it was obvious for me when he started running XD the awkward flailing gave it away
I didn't get the loading screen but I still realized what was going on the first time. I guess I was just lucky
majorxadamska It was the other way around for me. lol
majorxadamska it's easy enough to pick up when you listen to his speech patterns
Patrick Arguelles glad I wasn't alone then
No need to be mate, my brain is just weird like that.
Happy Bear it's better to not realize and be surprised later
Was I the only one screaming "NOCT, ITS NOT HIM!!!!!" Multiple times while I played this? Lol
Like so many other people, I was knocked for a loop during that sequence and didn't realize what was actually happening until it showed Prompto falling off the train.
Haven't thought deeply about this until now, and wow. That makes me much more exited for the DLC!
I wasnt aware until the end but ive always loved prompto he was one of my favorite characters and still is. It was heartbreaking and sad to hear his story.
Wow...you're right. I never even noticed or thought about this part very much. Ayden...that guy is probably one of the cruelest Final Fantasy villains ever
I knew.
Not being snoodie, i just figured it out when he was talking while i was chasing him. I even chose "Maybe" instead of "Yeah" because i didn't want to say something so terrible to Prompto.
Roman Wolf
I feel so bad now because I did choose to say, "Yeah" because I really honestly thought that was Ardyn! i hate that guy!
Prompto was one of my favorites and now it hurts me so much to find out that was him and not Ardyn!
KittyKatBobcat I did to until I realized he (teeeeeechnically) isn't the bad guy.
at least not 100%
When he explained Ardyn talking like Prompto I was like "Ooooohhhhhhh...... mind blown."
my god i didn´t see that before he pushed prompto off the train, i feel horrible now.
This 'reveal' is so blindingly obvious in-game I'm shocked people missed it. You guys probably thought Tidus and Yuna's laughing scene wasn't on purpose either.
hm i didnt get this, but i did get the laughing scene in ffx
It's way more obvious though
They hid the story pretty well in this game. Yes, im sad, i need stuff force feed into my brain... But stil c'mon, ive learned more about ff15's story on 3h youtube then i did in 60 hrs of gameplay
So much, SO MUCH hidden history EVERYWHERE!
Force feed it to me... give me a Meachen I can talk with to explain me stuff
Not me having to go around and reading every bit of information, listening to every conversation the NPC's have and then try and figure stuff out myself. I can't
(thankfully yt is here xD)
Ayla Soares I miss Meachan.
I was quite young when I played that game, care to explain the purpose of that scene?
I mean the laughing scene with Yuna and Tidus
Mani De Maki Putting up a false positive face in order to inspire people because you're a symbol of hope.
HOLY SH*T DUDE! I actually did get that loading screen, but i never actually thought it as referring to Ardyn switching places with Prompto as far back as when they are still inside the train! I thought they only switched places during the scene on top of the train! You guys actually blew my mind right now..
Incredible discussion Darryl! Fortunately i saw the missing screen but i only thought the switch was when they were on top of the train and didn't realise it was prompto the whole time immediately prior! Thanks so much for analysing and pointing that out. Would have been great if Prompto had said a line in the train like "Noct, why has everyone frozen?" to allude to what the loading screen details.
I knew it was Prompto during the fight because of the way "Ardyn" was talking.
When prompto was trying to talk to me I sneezed and needed a tissue so the game basically brushed him off. How can I be so mean to the reason Noct feels human?!
I was actually under the impression that after Noct wakes up on the train, that Prompto was Ardyn. Like you said, he doesn't act shook up (and Prompto's not known for hiding his feelings), and his dialog is almost entirely different during the following action sequence than normal. I want to say his movements were less spazzy, too, but it's been awhile since I've seen the scene.
*INTERNAL SCREAMING* I didn't realize he tricked Noct TWICE!! HIS MANNER OF SPEAKING IN THAT MOMENT MAKES SO MUCH SENSE NOW!!
I got the load screen but it was displayed so briefly I couldn't even take a screenshot.
This scene is one of my favorite scenes in the game because of how well it is done and how much it managed to trick me with three sequences in one. The first and most obvious one was that Prompto was pushed off the train. I think I did get the Loading screen that explains it but I didn't understand the extent it was telling me. I felt horrible that it happened because of what he had said back in that heart-warming scene back in Lucis but I thought, hey, Prompto wouldn't have much to go by and would think there was a mistake after some rational thinking.
It wasn't Until I played Episode Prompto that I realized it was Prompto I was trying to murder on the train. When it showed the flashbacks in the beginning of the episode I was actually thoroughly confused when it showed the scene of Noctis Pinning Prompto to a wall because I was blank on memory of that ever happening. Until it finally hit like a truck that the game had managed to move the player in a blind rage swinging after "Ardyn", a thing they usually only do in cutscenes, to unknowingly attack a friend. It was wild to be put in the situation in a movie you would otherwise be telling the Character Not to engage in. This got me quite a bit more emotional over what Prompto went through after that because of actively choosing to tell prompto it was all his fault gave him a bit less doubt that Noctis hates him and tried to actually kill him.
It even then wasnt until looking into that scene a little deeper I realized that the Prompto you saw when Noctis woke up and fought with wasn't even Prompto, But Ardyn. All to keep the appearance that It was Ardyn the whole time. It went so smoothly and was easily missed even if you did see the Loading screen summery. Easily one of my favorite experiences in a game to date. Can't beat that kind of Bammbozalry.
I was confused at first until I replayed a recorded footage I had of the event. Then it was like wow, everything makes sense.
I figured that that was Prompto long before the loading screen. There was a lot in Ardyn that screamed "Prompto". It felt right somehow.
Despite the upload date, thank you for sharing. I continue to love this game for the story and cast. The scenes on the train are one of my favorites in Final Fantasy 15, as this is also a test of observation and attention to mannerisms in the characters. Ardyn pretending to be Prompto was obvious in his vernacular and movements, including with his body language when Prompto is wielding his gun at Ardyn at 3:29 - Some scenes did not have to be obvious to where I could not figure out of my own, though I am curious of Ardyn's abilities (how does he inherit the skills to halt time and create illusions) and how was Prompto captured after his Episode by Ardyn again.
That's Ardyn when "Prompto" helps him up on the train. The switcharoo is still going on until you get on top of the train.
I mean once "Ardyn" said "dude" it became pretty obvious that it was Prompto. Though I didn't realize the Prompto you fought with in that scenario was Ardyn.
I'm surprised to hear anyone missed this. The way "Ardyn" was talking was unmistakably Prompto.
My first play through I didn't realize it was Prompto.. I was the same I thoguht Ardyn was mocking him with the 'dude'. It wasn't really until I played the new version of 13 and Ravus death that is clicked.. Ardyn doesn't change how he speaks even when mocking someone. I went back and pulled up the video's i have and now that i knew that I instantly heard Prompto under ardyn's voice. I felt so damn horrid...
Oh now it makes sense. I never understood that scene where the apparent "Ardyn" said "Dude, are you seriously trying to kill me?!" until now.
You just blew my mind I never thought about Ardyn bring prompto
I got the screen, but didn't realize anything was off aside from actually pushing him off the train beforehand
Prompto is beautiful and must be protected.
James Warren Let's start a Prompto protecto organization together!
facts.
facts. i swear i wanted to break ardyn's neck after the way he tortured the poor thing. Prompto is a sweet, delicate, fragile angel and we gotta keep him safe at ALL TIMES
I was aware the moment that 'ardyn' used prompto's roll-on-ground-and-run-away animation, seemed pretty obvious
I remember thinking on my first play through about the line, "Dude, are you seriously trying to kill me?" That Ardyn's language was oddly modernized. Of course, I simply didn't think much about it due to his eccentric speech and flamboyant nature throughout the whole game, I merely chalked it up to Ardyn making fun of Noctis.
But on my second play through I began thinking of Prompto's dilemma of being pushed from the train, specifically the gesture of 'I surrender' that Ardyn did before Noctis pushed him. That stuck out to me from the first run through because it seemed like a very un-Prompto like thing for him to do.
I love how the game really hid those little clues but also wish it went into more detail with Prompto's capture rather than churning out Episode Prompto as a dlc option. I remember when we met up with Prompto after the hell that was Zegnautus Keep, my first thought was that he seemed way too calm...
I said way too much haha. Still gonna buy his episode tomorrow.
Man that is deep...I had no idea and would've never known if not for the video. Now I'm even more excited to play Episode Prompto.!
OH MY GOD I HAD NO IDEA. Thank you so much for making this video!
I honestly didn't put the pieces together until while I was playing the episode. When Ardyn said "Dude, are you seriously trying to kill me?..." I actually thought that was him but then I heard that same line being used in the trailer for episode Prompto and its being said by Prompto himself so that was when the reality started to sink in for me.
I never got the loading screen, but when I played through that part, I instantly knew it was Prompto because his word choice differs from that of Ardyn. To me, I thought it was obvious.
I have a feeling that Episode Prompto is going to be VERY heartbreaking.
I got that screen. And my mind was officially blown on so many levels.
I think I got too carried away with the tedious fetch quests and grinding to pick up the majority of the game's story. The mind games that had taken place during the train totally went passed my head. Things like this definitely make me want to go back and revisit the game.
I think it was because if you check the Prompto episode, it starts off with him saying "Are you trying to kill me?!" which you hear an angry Noctis saying "yes"
I also never received that screen and it's so clear to me now... THANK YOU!
Damn, I'm sad now... Poor Prompto
I actually thought that it was Ardyn we attacked in the train, I never even considered how fast Prompto showed up when Ardyn vanished. Mind... Blown.
I got the loading screen tip when I played, I figured it was pre-programmed to display there and not one of the random ones though. In this scene I was also really angry at Ardyn, so when the revelation hit it hit me pretty hard, since Prompto is my favorite of the group.
Poor Prompto...
You get a like for telling me something I didn't know about FFXV's story! Hooray.
I already had a hint that Ardyn was playing with Noctis during the time freeze. The dialogue with "Ardyn" gave it away.
I did kow about this. It was implied by the later cutscenes, such a mindblowing twist though and makes you really wanna fiind prompto as fast as possible
OMG, I seriously didn't notice that noctis was actually chasing after prompto during the train scene. Ive even beaten the game twice and didn't notice it till now...
"Its all your fault"!
"Do you really mean that?"
Imagine seeing promptos face when he said that..
I wasn't aware there was any sort of confusion surrounding this. Ardyns mannerisms changing set of warning bells but I didn't actually figure out what had happened until Noct attacked Ardyn on top of the train and it was Prompto shown falling.
Oooooh! Now it makes sense! I thought Ardyn only switched appearances on TOP of the train, and that's why Prompto's feeling of betrayal never really made sense to me. But now, know Noctis was attacking Prompto earlier, it really does put those feelings in context.
Never in my life did I ever think I would ever see a character that pretty much sums up who I feel myself to be promptos scene with noctis brought me to tears prompto feels the very same way I do no real friends, though my family cares about me I feel like I'm an annoyance, like a failure in every way I feel as prompto does "inferior" sure I crack jokes sure I show smiles and laughs but just like prompto that's not really who I am, no I'm not suicidal my family definitely kept my heart and mind in the right place but I do definitely feel alone a lot of the time and some times I wonder is that just because of who I have choosen to be the choices I made or do people just view me as an annoyance to be honest sad or pathetic as this is gonna seem I often feel the only place I can express stuff like this is honestly is here in comment sections like this maybe one day things will change for me but if this is how I feel to the end of my time then I'm willing to embrace it and take these feelings and thoughts quietly with me
I thought that was actually Ardyn when I played through it. lol
I somehow immediately knew that Ardyn was an illusion and it was actually Prompto
I got the loading screen and I knew Ardyn switched with prompto at the top of the train but I had no idea he was also switched with him the other times until I saw it in ep prompto!! I was even more upset about what happened and felt so bad for my poor boy prompto!!! 😭😭😭
In German i got the loading Screen every time. All in my 8 Walktroughs
Did think this was the case but didn't know Prompto actually said that when you answer the question! Basically confirms everything. I thought the loading screen was common, didn't know not everyone got it :-o. Felt so bad for Prompto but absolutely loved the train segment. Ardyn is just so good at messing with people.
I'm learning all this now?! The fact that I didn't know all this time makes my heart hurt so much more for him. Oh, the guilt.
That cruel little detail.... Yeah I am gonaa cry now.
my friend pointed this out to ne and when I realized Ardyn and Prompto were switched my face paled. I wanted to tear Ardyn to shreds and I never once thought that anything seemed out of place. Poor Prompto.
I always thought it was word ardyn was taking that way. I thought he was mocking noctis as sweet, but this makes it even crazier! thanks for this insight man
i was aware of the switch when "ardyn" said,"m "Dude..." but i wasn't aware of the other switch when prompto wakes noctis. i thought prompto was behaving pretty calmly for towards someone that was literally trying to cut his head off lol. makes much more sense if that was indeed ardyn atm. i also thought the scene where prompto points his gun at ardyn was switched then and there too, buy would make more sense that ardyn's stitch in time trick stayed on the entire time because i don't think ardyn could've used it twice on noctis if noctis been warping around destroyed ships.
i gotta say this....Prompto is my fave character and as I indentify myself with him, I felt so overwhelmed when Noctis and he had that talk at the hotel....thanks to you now I know the thing with Ardyn!!! i was so shocked...well still am...WOW finally got that scene and oh gosh I feel so horrible knowing how he must have felt.....T^T thanks for your vid! also liked the one with parent Ignis very much 💙
I'm really glad you enjoyed both videos! :) Thanks for taking the time to comment as well. ~Darryl
Sure thing! Really interesting to hear your reviews:)
I was very much aware that was Prompto the first time.
I knew really early in the scene that Ardyn was just making Prompto look like him because his speech patterns were exactly how Prompto talks which is completely different from Ardyn's way of speaking.
I got it but it was such a surprise for me that I didn't even register it in my mind until now.
Doing a little bit of a video binge because I just finished replaying xv and man I had forgotten how they really put my little guy through hell
I had no clue any of this happened.. maybe I should pay attention more but I'm blown away. I'm holding out for all dlc before I play the story again
Oh my god I didn't know this. My heart just shattered. x.x;
Interesting analysis!
I hot the loading screen too!
Good point! I felt bad for Ardyn when he started talking differently. It would make sense if Noct was seeing him instead of Prompto the whole time
i realized it first time Ardyn won't talk like that but the scene on the train roof i just know now I must not oay too close attention
I did notice something strange about how "Ardyn" was speaking but unconsciously dismissed it I guess. It does make soo much more sense now though!
i had that loading screen 3 years ago, i remember being really sad reading it like WAIT WHAT HE CAN CONTROL TIME FFS
I picked the cues up in the train, and I believe I got the loading screen, but I was reall aware of it and super upset about not having prompto.
i would really like to watch an in-depth scene for scene walkthrough of final fantasy xv explaining each scene especially with the context of version 1.0 compared to the last patch
my kids were yelling at this part so I only got part of it
Although I never got the loading screen, I did figure this out myself when I first played through the game.
