@TechSteve, I have a question. I have a U8K and today I noticed that sometimes when I turn it on, there will be a large message on the left that says "Check OK 4" when WDIV Channel 4 is on. It is a very large circle. Other TV stations are starting to do similar things such as ESPN in the lower-right corner in white text talking about apps. Is this the Hisense TV or is it Comcast? I have tried both remote controls. Pressing "Ok" doesn't do anything on either of them. But, if I turn on those certain channels, and then turn on the TV when those channels are on, I always see it.
Can the tv settings menu be moved to the right side of the screen like previous android models,the menu on the left is covering the channel display, thanks
Does Google TV have the xfinity stream app ? I’ve been waiting months for the U8H 75” to be in stock and it’s finally in stock at Best Buy but just looked up and a lot of people saying it doesn’t have it but its from 1-2 years ago.

Hey Steve I hope you can reply. Can this TV change the display size like 16:9 etc if you say you have a Wii and have. Wii2HDMI and set it to widescreen mode just to play old school Retro games etc? Or would I need to buy upscalers for them? Like for the N64, PS2, GameCube, etc. I know they have EON adapters for GameCube but idk tbh. If anyone is experienced with this hope you can help. I own a Switch and got the Nintendo Expansion pack for N64 games and want to stretch the games out. How do you do that? The games are set to 4:3. Thanks. If anyone owns a Switch and this TV please let me know! :)

Hi Steve, thank you for sharing this walk through. I have set up my TV (U6K), which it has the same options and functions as this one, but in the case of the Screenless mode, it does not work or maybe I'm expecting it to work the way I think it should be ? - when I use this mode, the google assistant can answer my commands when the screen is off, but if I ask for the weather, it will turn on the screen and it will show the weather for today and the forecast for the next days on the screen, but it stays there and then it goes to the ambient mode, which it lets the TV on and if I disable the ambient mode, it stays waiting for command but the screen stays on, so, I was expecting that the google assistant provide the weather but not to turn on the screen, as it is supposed to be on screenless mode, otherwise, my TV will remain on .., do I have the wrong expectations or I am using this feature the wrong way ? Also, I have another issue using the hands free for turning on and off my TV ..., if you could make a video to show how turning on and off the TV using hands free google assistant I will really appreciate it, since there are no accurate documentation from Hisense and few videos where this functionality is shown but they don't show how to set it up. Pleeaaase !🙏

how do you get TH-camTV to show under live? my tv only shows stuff on PlutoTV but I never saw the option for TH-camTV even tho I’ve had it installed since day 1.

Thank for the video. I just got the 75" u6h. Some of the menus are a little different from what you show. It's got a great picture. I have a few questions. When I use my HT system I mute the tv speaker. Unfortunately that puts a mute symbol in the upper right corner of the screen. Is there a way to mute the speaker without the symbol on the screen? Every tv I have owned had a display button on the remote to show time, input/channel, resolution, etc. Is there a way to display that info on the U6H? Thanks again.

I have the u7h. I know the power light is an option to turn off but can all four leds on the bottom be turned off any way that you know of?

It would be easy to install the app from a usb drive. My last TV was powered by android os and I installed a few apps on it that I downloaded from the internet.

Does anyone have lagg problems with this model while streaming an app? I get like a slight motion stutter while watching a video on any app and especially while I navigate the options menu the video on the background video slows down.

I have the u7h and google assist on the remote works but the hands free "hay google" is not working and I cant find where to turn it on. any tips or fix?

@@TechSteve yes I have that switch on, but doesn't respond or activate when I say hey Google or OK google only when holding down the google button on the remote.
Go into the settings and remove the Bluetooth remote, then press home and back together until it blinks, the remote will pair back to the tv, press the google button on the remote and it will ask if you want to go handsfree click yes im in.

we just bought the u8h, and the voice command will not change the channels, we use an antenna. hisense the worst tech support of all. they tell me the tv doesn't do that. 4 calls 4 different answers, all wrong. it is under warranty and they refuse to speak to me about it. they also said no one in las vegas to repair it.

If it’s a google tv model, you have to select your console input then press the menu on the remote in gaming picture profile
