Salute to all of these Filipino comic screen heroes....it is sad that all of them will just be a part of the memories that only a handful of us have...they founded the genuine comedy of the Philippine cinema without hate, bigot and pretense...unlike today's kind of would-be comedian who are nothing compared to these well respected and well mannered character actors...Philippines comedy will never be the same again with their passing...let us just hope and pray that their relic movies and films will still be around to remind the new generation what golden comedy we all have during these hey days...Godbless them and may they all rest in peace...

I remembered Mr. Chiquito was my patient at TMC, I was checking his IV site, I said may backflow(blood) then he said " de eflowback natin" we both laughed. He was simple and funny gent.
It's much easier to make a person cry than to make him/her laugh. That's why tele-dramas are like dime a dozen these days. Huge respect to these comedic geniuses. I really miss these guys. The true icons and legendary comedians in the Philippine cinema, it's true, "THERE WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER LIKE THEM" they are so raw, organic and original. Hands down and salute for them for making our life happy and jolly despite all the hardship and difficulties. ❤❤❤

I grew up watching all these comedians. Lopito and Patsy ( if I remember right, hosted Tawag ng Tanghalan. Patsy, delivers her jokes in Capampangan) the two were big on TV in the ‘50s. Pugo teamed up with Bentot after original partner Togo died. Chiquito a motorcycle cop, apprehended a guy who was over speeding and ask why was he in a hurry? the guy wanting to beat the rap replied he has a headache. Chiquito quick on his mind retorted, Heto Cortal, bente isang tableta. A joke maybe. 😂

The Dolphy and Panchito tandem was above of them all,the timing and the adlibs,it seems they can read each other's mind.The early days of Ike and German,they're underated,the more I think about it,the old school comedians just doesn't rely on the scripts,they just run with it,that post war generations of comedians were the greatest generation ever of comedy.They will never be equaled or surpass in the Filipino Showbiz,they're just giants.
