Love it there, my grandad used to live opposite the green and worked at British aerospace, I used to go to the village fair I think it was, he used to talk about ice skating on the pond when he was younger, and you passed his family grave on the way into the church, I lowered him into his resting place a few years ago
A lovely refreshing change from the nightmare scenario that is Central Blackpool. Just goes to show that the Fylde Coast and neighbouring areas have some right Gems dotted around.
Used to work at BAC as it was but lived in Great Eccleston so I passed through Wrea Green every day. The pub was a regular place on Friday at lunch time. Beautiful video and a beautiful place.

I remember going to Ribby Hall with school to perform in our class band. Great venue, really nice inside, I wander if the big treehouse is still there what they use for events and functions. Looks like a nice peaceful village, reminds me of Heartbeat the tv show.

Brilliant to see Wrea Green (used to pass through every work day going to BAE) Maybe areas over the Wyre as well as Poulton and staining could get a visit (beautiful spots and a change from the Pool now and again :-))
Don't know if you already showing it or not but watching touch of frost season 5 e4( no other love, aka love me tender) and good scenes of Blackpool you can tell it was the 90s lol
I did a little research on housing prices for you and you're correct the Terrace houses in the area are around the high 190's to 200,000 then Semi - Detached anywhere from 330,000 and for a detached half a million at least. 1 Ribby Road was last sold at an estimate of between 600 and 740,000. Think the lowest I saw (only on page 1 mind you of Zoopla) was a flat that went for between 131 & 196,000 and that was on Smithy Fold.

Not so quiet and peaceful unfortunately. They have tremendous problems with speeding around the back roads and actual green at night. Real boy racer stuff. Indeed, there was a car that crashed into the school's wall not long ago.
Yes, it is a problem. Considering the speed limit is 20mph, it's shocking how some drive through the village. From cars to trucks, they drive with total disregard for safety.

We have stayed at Ribby Hall many times. It is our favourite and so handy for Blackpool.

Wareings of Wrea Green had an office near the green and also this village had its own bank until about 20 yrs ago.
Yeah, the Wareings built a new factory over on the main road. They build pretty much all the farm buildings around here.
