Our 6-month old struggled a lot to gain weight at the beginning, and I had a very hard time breastfeeding her. I was obsessive. Constantly Googling. I almost bought a baby scale, and my husband, like yours, was like, "You probably shouldn't buy that." It just brought tears to my eyes to think of that time and how dark it was, and then it made me happy to know how much sweeter and more joyful motherhood is now. I love your videos, Michelle. They are uplifting to me as a first-time mom. Thank you!

That wicker basket, I have one with a lid for my bathroom. I put girly stuff in there or cotton balls in the smaller one. Just to hide stuff and less visual clutter!
Chelsey from whatwesaid showed the coolest trunk for keepsake baby items! I believe the brand is “petite keep” and you can pick the color/pattern and customize it. So so cute and I thought it was a great idea :) love the declutterring content! Very relatable lol

You could put a thick plastic bag in the woven pot and use it as a planter, or put kitchen utensils to have on the counter Toilet paper rolls might also fit in there!
im with you on cuter clothes when they are very young. my boy didn’t use any of his cute clothes i got, and to this day (he is 5 months) still doesn’t wear much. in the end ive learned to just stick with the basics because that’s what he wears most of the time
Just a tip for you :) the trash bag for the diaper pail is supposed to go around the ring inside, not the diaper pail itself. Putting it around the ring will really help with the smell and also looks much nicer!
Hi new subscriber here - girl you worked so hard … I have that shelf unit - can I suggest you put the baby book in the middle and put books out from there - tallest in middle of top shelf - maybe lat some books flat and put a pic on top - not all books have to stay on one shelf - it will look so cute - you will love it!!!!

I really liked your point about using what you have. I love these types of home vlogs but I dread it when people use it as an excuse to head to their nearest Target / Walmart to pick up stuff. Content creators seem to do that every season and it seems to wasteful and bad for the planet. I don’t know if it’s a US thing but everyone drives cars and seems to shop a lot so seems a very consumerist based society but then a lot of people talk about living a more natural lifestyle so the messaging is a bit confusing. Although maybe you guys just don’t have a public transport system the way we do in Europe. But not to labour the point too much, I love it when people pull out old stuff and re use! 👏
Regarding breast feeding topic --> if you can't breastfeed and are worried about health, get TODDLER FORMULA! 💕 They can't label it as baby formula legally, but it's healthier. Do your own research, of course!

I was pregnant over 25 years ago with my first child - and I still can´t stand the smell or taste of a few things I had back then. 😅
That little wicker basket that was where appliances were would make a great countertop trash can when cooking, etc. use the produce bags from store

I feel you! At least in Dallas, we don’t have the best public transport system. We enjoyed having that in NYC though, we love walking everywhere!
