If your Receiver In Canal hearing aid is not producing sound clearly, try some of the following troubleshooting techniques. After each step, test if the hearing aid is working by cupping the hearing aid in your hand. If you hear a whistling sound, your hearing aid is producing sound and is ready for use.
• Restart the device by opening and closing the battery door.
• Replace the battery, open the battery door, and remove the battery. Place a new battery in the door and close the door, making sure it is firmly shut.
• Clean the hearing aid, by wiping the hearing aid using a clean dry cloth. Using the brush provided with your hearing aid, gently remove wax or debris from the device.
• Replace the filter. If you are not comfortable changing the filter, visit an audiology professional in store and they will assist you with this.
