I just got hearing aids for the first time 3 days ago. They are so comfortable that I really don't notice them. But I'm having a really hard time getting them in. I came across this video after several others and now I'm ready to try again. Thanks so much!
So far, this is the most helpful video I have found. I just wish there was a way to see the tubing better. I will try again tomorrow. This morning was ridiculously frustrating.
@tomweeks8664 Oh no! I'm so sorry you had trouble with that. I'm really glad the video helped, though! If you need more info on how to use them, feel free to ask-I’d be happy to help!
Glad it was helpful! You push them in to where the wire goes up against the side of your head. If you'd like to jump on a video call with Russell let us know.
That was helpful, thanks! I check in the mirror now that the wire goes straight up, also the trigger finger tip I’m using. Getting a bit more handier at it now. Most helpful video I’ve come across!
Great informational video! I was told yesterday that I needed hearing aids for both ears! I've got to go back for my appointment next month to get fitted for them. This helped me a lot, because that's the style of hearing aids I want!
To prevent losing your hearing aids, here are a few tips that might help: Use a Retention Cord: These can attach to your hearing aids and clip onto your clothing, ensuring they stay secure. Depending on the style of hearing aid. For RIC/BTE devices something like this: www.amazon.com/dp/B01MSIP43Z?ref=emc_s_m_5_i_atc Create a Routine: Always place your hearing aids in the same spot when you’re not wearing them, like a designated case or a specific drawer. Check Regularly: Make it a habit to check if your hearing aids are securely in place throughout the day. It could be the domes need to be changed or sized differently. Label with Contact Info: If your hearing aids have space, consider adding a small label with your contact info in case they get lost. Use Hearing Aid Clips: These clips can attach to your hearing aids and your clothing or hair, providing extra security. Worst case if you did lose a hearing aid you should have a Loss & Damage deductible you'd pay to get a replacement. Unless you purchased them online then they might not have one. Hopefully, these tips help! 😊
Thanks. After 4 days, I can put the hearing aid in my left year in seconds, but it takes minutes to put it in my right ear. What can I do to help my right side?
If your ear canal is prolapsing (meaning it’s closing in on itself) you can try pulling down and out on the bottom of your ear to open up your ear canal and help you slide it in better. Is your device a behind the ear or custom in the ear hearing aid?
There are different styles of hearing aids. The hearing specialist should be able to make them more comfortable. Has he let them know about it? The hearing test should be pain less and if you have hearing loss they should be able to put a set of hearing aids in your ear to have you experience how you are hearing with them and how they feel comfort wise. There is no need to be concerned. Unless the place you are going doesn't know what they are doing. 🫣 Keep me posted!

Excellent information on curving the index fingers to the back to insert the hearing aid. It was a struggle for me until I saw your video.
Glad it was helpful!

Glad it helped! What do you mean by being able to see the tubing better? Where are your struggling?
Thanks, I wish my audiologist took the time to show me some of that. I wore mine wrong for the first 3 months. Good video.

I did on the first try! Thank you so much for this video!
Great job!
Thanks, very informative! I’m a newbie, only had them a week and sometimes think they’re not sitting in properly, not sure how deep to push in.

Don’t have music on to teach hearing aids. You can’t hear his speaking
Thanks for your comments.
Thank a comforting fit...
