We are the 'mystery photographers' in this video! On that morning in Mallorca, we thought we had woken up in catamaran heaven, surrounded by the fleet of Outremers! Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by and say hello and allowing us to be a tiny part of your adventure. A wonderful vessel, but even more wonderful people!
Thats my island!!! Amazing from your view. I like to see your way every week. I was looking your route from WO500 and I watch you was in Mallorca and I look up for the episode. Now enjoy Pacific Ocean and show how beauty its the other part of the world. Thank you at all the family and congratulations to the camera men and of course to the English voiceover.
Muito Bom, linda. Actually the Boats looked quite stunning in these bays. What an amazing location, please enjoy and we shall enjoy with you. The challenges with the sails appear to be a real test, lots to learn. Enjoy and thank you for sharing, Bons Ventos The Portuguese Wallaby Down Under
With all the troubles with the top down furler, I wonder if it's better to just use the code 0 and jib goose-wing when sailing deep in medium and stronger breezes, you can even drop the main and go near DDW. For lighter air use a symmetrical spinnaker in a sock to sail deep or point up with the code 0 and gybe downwind sailing best VMG. You are convincing me to scrap the asymmetric for my new boat.
Every time I see that jockey seat on your dingy I think it is brilliant. Balance must be better at all times. Is it hard to work around at dock or loading supplies in and out.
Growing to love your channel. Great to see the barrel roll - more of that please lol. Did you find the cause of the impeller problem? It can't have been that old. Why did it disintegrate?
They’re optimising the water flow as we speak as the genset is pretty high above the waterline. Hopes are focussed on a new non return valve but we still expect that an additional feed pump like on the Lagoon will be necessary to be able to use it in most sea states
@@CatGreatcircle Many thanks for the quick reply! Interesting to understand the problem. Surprised that that it can't cope with that extra pressure. I appreciate it's perhaps higher than normal but it's not like it's half way up the mast! I hope you get it sorted. Thank you.
There are not a lot of Outremers with a genset as for a lot of traditional Outremer sailors the weight factor is too important in their priorities. Since they are designing the best compromise between looks, performance and comfort however and now the 55 seems not very sensible for a bit more weight this might attract (read: this is already attracting) a lot more people like us who want stuff like this
How many Outremer's including your boat are on this around the world adventure? Are there others that are joining along and if so what type of boats? This is an epic sail. I've never heard of a group getting together to do anything like this before besides the Around the World Race but that's totally different because everyone is out for themselves. Your group is supportive of one another.
There was a picture on the screen in the sailing days video listing all the boats but from my memory there’s 1 Gunboat, 1 not-Gly boat, 2 Garcia’s, scopula of Allures and the rest of the 32 boats in total is Outremer. I think 4 x 5X, 3 x 55 a lot of 51’s and a couple of 45’s
Pretty much all of the sailing channels use either Raymarine or B&G. You are using B&G. Have you used Raymarine before and what is the difference. These two seem like the best for a cruiser like yourselves. I'm not sure if there is a third place but if there was, it's a very distant third. Could you share a little bit on this subject?
A tiny insight. I use B&G. I think they are developed purely for sailing where Raymarine are also for power. In reality, I think there is probably little in it with regards to what information you get.
I can’t judge the technical differences in detail as I have been using BandG only on our cats but from what I have seen the presentation of the data at BandG is just way better compared to the others. I can see everything I need very clear even from a distance
6.18W already in Cadiz 😎 can’t keep up our pace with editing but still almost realtime. Ibiza video almost ready, then Ibiza to Gibraltar and Gibraltar to Cadiz
@@CatGreatcircle I suppose that because of the affinity of the name, you are the same, our King will disappoint in Holland, in the end we discuss the same thing about the tulips and who is going to pay for it

So that was almost the first drone of the trip lol, good thing you're in Gibraltar, the best place to sort your technical problems.
Wat een schitterende baai, inderdaad! The drone hit the rocks...? Wow, lucky guy. :D
Happy greetingz again!

Those views are just wow. Congrats Tina👏, you will be missed for sure
The season in Riksgransen is pretty short so Tina will be with us until half January and will return to when we’re on Tahiti
Tina is just a 💎!
Thanks!! Fantastic!!🌻👍🌻
Lovely stuff...

No it’s fine loading it and it even has a locked bow compartment. The balance is great, it’s no Highfield 390 of course but less than half the weight

leave jib furled out,🚩 and fold it up📂 when not using. when you have to use, just unfold🚩 and set for wind ??? enjoy the trip🖐
