Interesting, you mentioned Joe Pass playing for Ella, which he did. But sitting there, side stage listening to him was, Oscar Pettersen. It doesn't get more impressive than that. Joe Pass is my favourite jazz guitarist.. Somone from an entirely different genre, you might find very interesting, is Brazillian Yamandu Costa. There are heaps of wonderful classical guitarists in the world now. I'd recommend looking at Xuefei Yang.
As a Country Artist I’m sure are aquatinted with Chet Atkins. You should be! Outside his country picking there is another world to discover. He delved into jazz , classical and popular music. But the show off piece would be playing Dixie and Yankee Doodle at the same time.
Fun video, but now you need to react to another legendary guitarist, the Irish legend Rory Gallagher. He was a guitarist's guitarist and was a pioneer at wringing sounds out of his battered guitars in many different styles: rock, blues, country blues, even some jazz and flamenco style guitar work. For an introduction to his acoustic work, a great performance is the 1977 RTE One video of Pistol Slapper Blues/Too Much Alcohol.. He was a fluent player on both electric and acoustic guitar, as well as mandolin, electric sitar, harmonica and sax. Check out the many Rory videos on TH-cam from this amazing performer (self taught as well).
Some jazz guitar players approach it more like a piano, others more like a horn. Joe's the apex of the former, and his horn-like aspects ain't no slouch either, as you can see. As a bebop guitar player you spend your life looking up at Joe. You can see farther up the mountain as you grow yourself, but there's always more. Long live the king.

Those two songs are audio only, so if not for your channel then for your pleasure.....I kindof veered into metal but one of my public playlist is 'jazz' (only a few songs) and has those two Frisell tracks ... the other is the best flugelhorn jazz creations by Herbert Joos...... enjoy
