I would have already grabbed it, but no midi in, just USB midi :(

The fix is in the next video - for $5 😁

It's a beauty, I have one connected to my dawless setup with a $50 midi usb host box from amazon.

Looks and sounds like a lot of fun. The sound quality is good and it has a lot of functions.
When I first saw the box it reminded me of those Stylophones
Once I saw it properly it looked entirely different. 😂
I think it looks well made. I checked the price here in the UK and it averages around £44.00.
It's a pretty good price for the quality of sound and functions. 👌👍👍🎹

Thanks for your comments Mike 😀
It does remind of a Stylophone, am thinking of attaching a little wire and black plastic pencil to the side lol

It does indeed sound good. Although I have these bases covered with the, not quite as dinky, Fred’s Lab synths, if they finally drop over here and the price is right, I’ll grab one - a compelling reason being that I’d just like to know if the USB MIDI host I built for the Pocket Miku will play nicely with it!

It is that sort of gear. Other things can get there, especially software on a PC, yet it's well made, tweakable and cheap enough to consider. I think they're great for beginners looking for hardware that isn't 2nd hand, also for those of us with GAS on a pocket money budget 😀

For $50 I finally gave in. No midi in was what made me hesitate for a long time. But it is so cheap... It has fantastic sounds and a great arpeggiator. If you change octaves while using the arpeggiator, it will hold the note you are playing, not exactly a sequencer but something like it. I don't know if this is a bug or a feature. It is too bad it is so tiny with no midi in or sync input. As it is, it is mostly just a toy, as the screen is so tiny and the knobs as well. Still, with my tiny Korg Kaoscillator 2. and a small Blackstar amp, I have a tiny rig, I can get cool sounds from. But the tiny keyboard.... Midi in would make a world of difference. I have not yet been able to figure out how to get a controller to work with it.

Great stuff Jerry, they really are cool little things 😀
Have you seen my MIDI solution vid? th-cam.com/video/zXok4ZZRw1Q/w-d-xo.html
If not, it could well be what you're looking for. MIDI In and MIDI Out for around $5

$50 for a bag of sweets, and what was that other thing in the box?? 😂😂 That was a nice touch with the sweets. The sound took me back to the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy TV series 😁😁 and then later to Close Encounters.

Haha, well, with the price of food nowadays it's cool to get a few treats for nothing 🧁🥧🍧🍬
Page 334 of the guide states that the Behringer JT-4000 is so easy to use that Vogon's put their poetry to it, between planet destruction appointments 😀

Thanks and yes, I agree. For an introduction to hardware synths, or as a decent studio extra sound source it's very cool! 😀
