  • Hi modellers,
    In this video, I'm going to build something that I've never done before.
    This is The Mandalorian figure from BANDAI, 1/12 scale.
    This is a snap kit, it doesn't require any glue for assembly.
    This is not a sponsored video. The kit, paints, materials and everything I use was paid for with my own money.
    Music from TH-cam Audio Library
    Six Seasons - Unicorn Heads
    Divine Life Society - Jesse Gallagher
    Thanks so much for watching!
    All the best!
    CSL

    ive just started buying these, got the A wing and x wing sets so far, really enjoyed building them, mainly because of not needing glue....

      These kits are so good.
      I believe a little bit of extra thin glue doesn't hurt. 😉

    Lindo trabalho! Aprnas uma pequena observação...o protetor da barriga tem cor azul. Acredito que você tenha pegado uma referência confusa ou errada. Mas o trabalho está detalhista e muito primoroso.

    So, in theory, I can take off all the armor parts from the "body", put a 1/12 fabric jumpsuit on the "body", then putting the armor back to create a Mezco style Mando? Also, I think the black background on the final result doesn't do the justice showing off your hardwork.

      Yeah, that's right, you can do that, though I haven't tried it.

    I'm getting ready to tackle this kit. Do you recommend painting the parts right on the sprue before assembly. Or following your lead, like in the video and assembling first before painting.

      Hi,
      Thank you for your comment.
      I always paint the parts cleaned, separately. For me that's the best way to do.

    This is awesome! I'm very new to figure painting, is it necessary to apply sealer/topcoat after all the paint?

    • @cslvisualstudio
      @cslvisualstudio  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, it's unifies the surface and gives a good base for weathering.

      @@cslvisualstudio thanks, any brand of airbrush u recommend?

    • @cslvisualstudio
      @cslvisualstudio  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you ☺️
      I only use an airbrush. I use a paintbrush just for the fine details.
      Maybe you can try airbrush. A compressor/airbrush combo from eBay is not too expensive and opens the next level of painting/modelling.
      For airbrush, I use Mr.Color primers. These products are fantastic.

      Any cheap combo around $50.
      If you can spend a little bit more money Sparnax has a combo called Arism. That is fantastic.

      Hi,

      The body is Tamiya xf-10 (patchy thin layer)
      The belts and leather parts are also xf-10.
      Xf-57 buff for the hand armour and imitate dust.
      The triangles are Mr Hobby H57.

      @@cslvisualstudio thanks for the info! May I also ask for a paint guide you used on the weapons/accessories? Like the blasters or the darksaber? Thanks.

    • @cslvisualstudio
      @cslvisualstudio  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The pistol and the rifle are flat black dry brushed with gun metal and aluminium. For the darksaber I used Mr color sm201super fine silver2. The handle is flat black.
