i just planted 18 podocarpus meta and the new growth almost looks a whiteish color? because they are new im concerned im over watering or under watering. Is this a concern or is that an okay color for new growth? thanks
Beautiful plant!!!! Would love to add this beauty to our garden specially now that we are restarting our garden. Live in Camp Lejeune Jacksonville NC definitely could pick it up lol! Thanks for the opportunity to win this beauty.💚💚💚💚💚💚
I do like Podocarpus. I had two on one of my gardening accounts that kept getting aphids, sooty mold...I sprayed it with a combination of fungicide and insecticide
I was so excited to plant one this spring. I am zone 8, and a more advanced gardener. Sadly, all the leaves have dried out! It does get afternoon sun, and we had lots of rain early on after planting. I did provide good drainage, and planted it more elevated. I see no signs of insects. I am at a loss. I almost forgot to mention that the stems are still green so far.
It is beautiful. Shame that Southern Living plants arent sold in my area. Sometimes i can mail order smaller ones, so perhaps next year that will be an option as I really love the pink new growth and being both shade tolerant and deer resistant are great.
Here in Tampa Bay they thrive. I have them all around my property and they keep giving me babies for potting. In Disney World they trim them to look like Mickey and Donald.
Can someone give me advice on podocarpus macrophyllus? I planted a row and each plant has like 3 or 4 long legs -- I want each plant to have a main trunk with short side branches. What do I do ? Thanks to anyone who can answer...
Interesting plant. I'm looking for something I can have grown over 10 ft. Would like to have it. Do you have others to sell. Is it evergreen here in the Raleigh area I live in North Raleigh
