  • You asked so here's my export settings. One thing I forgot to mention about Lightroom export settings is that you can save the whole process as a preset, so I have a preset for high res, and then a preset for my blog size images etc.

    Hi Joy! Your video sooo helpful. I just started to do family photoshoot and I tried to search how to export all the photos that I edited in Lightroom to the SD card so that my clients could print it or use it on their Facebook or Instagram or whatever. So you are my life saver. Thank you so much ❤️

    Hey Joy, thanks for this. I was surprised how hard it was to find a definitive concise answer to the question of LR export settings for one’s JPEG archives. A million videos about Instagram or Facebook sizing of course... but 7 minutes later and I have my answer, much appreciated!

    Hey Joy! The image sizing section, to export your images, you mentioned 300 pixels per inch. I've been doing 3000 pixels per inch as 300 was given too much grain? Do you still recommend this amount with camera sensors being better? Thank you.

    Hi Joy. Do you always shoot raw? Also, my confusion is what gets exported: the original version or a different version. I haven't begun actually making versions yet, but I am confused about where the edits are (ie within the original image or separate (on my iphone for example the edits are a separate file that downloads as a separate file to my PC). Thank for this helpful tutorial.

    • @Joymichelle
      @Joymichelle  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      LR is creating another file when you export - typically a JPEG. Your RAW stays a raw. Yes! I always shoot raw

    This was great I usually export one by one. This will save me time. When you put tags on your photos to be SEO friendly does it ever get confusing if you are trying to find a specific image later if they are all similar in name?

    I am confused. Resolution (pixels per inch) isn't the same thing as pixels? Because I set Resolution in 1080. Is it okay or should I lower to these 300? I want the best quality posible.

    Hi! I will say that you don't have to be in the library module to export photos. If you're in the development module, you can export any image or number of selected images, by highlighting it/them and going to File>Export.

    This helped a lot, thank you. I am a fresh newbie when it comes to Lightroom, and I noticed that my exported images had abysmal quality when zooming in. As it turns out, the default export settings are at 60% quality, which I'd overlooked. WHY, PROGRAM, WHY?? Of course I want the full 100%! That should be the default. Just add a button that says - > Click Here for Big Fat Artifacts and lots of Noisy Noise < - if people insist on having the 60% quality.
    Anyways, here I found out my issue, so thanks again :P
