No I am not aware about any such dept. Anyway if it exists it's placement will be similar as cse. Because all cse related branch has similar placement stat

I had a back in my first sem and I didot face any issue. So dont worry. But yes try to not having much backs and a good CGPA. That would be helpful in future.

Bhaiya iit me mtech and btech me bhedbhav hota hai kya Mene suna hai ki mtech walo ko real iitain nahi mana jata Aur btech walo ka behaviour kaisa hota hai
Bhedbhav aise to kuch nhi hai, but yes Btech feel they are superior. Ab usse tumhe kya lena dena, koi kuch bhi soche. Tum join karo, courses karo job lo nikal jao. Simple. Officially there is no bhedbhav or discrimination.
Hey, Does the course chosen in BTech Matter to choose CSE in Mtech? For example, if or completes mechanical engineering in BTech and attempts Gate CS, can the person get admission for Mtech CSE

No mostly Btechs are hired by HFTs, in all IITs including IIT-Kgp

Nope it won't matter much...in any top institute if you are pursuing mtech, companies look for skills. If you have it, they will recruit it.

Nope Only Gate score, Btech ka bas ek minimum cutoff clear karna padhta hai like 60%

No it doesn't matter. If you crack gate in cse, you can join mtech in cse
